Floyd Mayweather Jr. is reportedly returning to the ring next month.

According to TMZ Sports, Mayweather will headline "The Global Titans Fight Series" in an eight-round exhibition match against "Dangerous" Don Moore on May 14. The fight will take place on a helicopter landing pad in Dubai.

Former UFC champion Anderson Silva will also be on the card to take on Bruno Machado.

This will be Mayweather's first boxing match since he fought former YouTube star Logan Paul on June 6. The fight was an exhibition, so no winner was declared, but Mayweather allowed the amateur to go the distance.

Mayweather retired in 2017 with a record of 50-0. His last official bout came against Conor McGregor. The 45-year-old is one of the most lucrative pay-per-view draws of all time, and he will surely attract a ton of viewers when he returns in May.

The spectacle of the event will also add to the intrigue, as it will take place "outside on the Burj Al Arab Hotel, one of UAE's top hotels."

Moore enters the match undefeated at 18-0-1 with 12 KOs. It's not yet known whether his fight against Mayweather will be judged to determine a winner.

Meanwhile, Silva, who is considered one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, will be returning to the ring for the first time since his first-round knockout of Tito Ortiz in September. Prior to that, he impressively earned a split-decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June.

Badou Jack, a former world champion in two weight classes, will also be competing on the card. He has a record of 25-3-3 with 15 KOs.

Logan Paul Suing 'F--king Scumbag' Floyd Mayweather for Lack of Payment from Fight

Logan Paul is suing boxing legend Floyd Mayweather over a lack of payment from their June exhibition.

"It's Floyd Mayweather," Paul told TMZ Sports. "Before we fought him, we were kind of willing to do whatever. Now after the fact, we're kind of shooting ourselves in the foot because he's a f--king scumbag."

Paul also said that he allowed "people who aren't a professional promotional company to control" how the fight money was handled which he admitted was a mistake.

Jake Paul alluded to the lawsuit on Monday, alleging that Mayweather has yet to honor the financial agreement he made with Logan, per the Mirror's Donagh Corby. Jake added his brother's representatives were "pressuring [Mayweather] both legally and behind the scenes."

Logan also lobbed the allegation on Twitter in January:

While it's unclear how much million Paul still needs to collect, he told TMZ Sports in May he was expecting to earn as much as $20 million from fighting Mayweather.

ESPN's Mike Coppinger reported the pay-per-view was projected to surpass 1 million buys, presumably netting each fighter a healthy sum from the PPV sales in addition to whatever guarantee they arranged.

Retired and undefeated world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s The Money Team Racing will look to make its NASCAR CUP Series debut on Sunday, Feb. 20 for the Daytona 500, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN.com).

Kaz Grala is set to drive the No. 50 Chevrolet for The Money Team Racing. The 23-year-old raced three times on the NASCAR Cup Series in 2021, finishing sixth the GEICO 500 for Kaulig Racing.

He also raced at Daytona twice, finishing 28th at the Daytona 500 and 35th in the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

Tony Eury Jr., who formerly served as a crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Jr., will be the crew chief for The Money Team Racing.

As the AP noted, The Money Team Racing does not have a charter, meaning that Grala will have to qualify into the 40-car Daytona 500 field.

As far as what lies ahead, The Money Team Racing general manager William Auchmoody said to the AP that the current plan is to run four races following Daytona, with a focus on road courses. However, the team is looking to run up to 15 races for the 2022 season.

Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced last week that he would take part in an exhibition fight in Dubai on Feb. 20.

On Wednesday, he told reporters that the fight will take place on a helipad atop the Burj Al Hotel.

"February 20th, we haven't chosen an opponent yet but I look forward to it and hopefully we give you guys something to see," Mayweather said.

While Mayweather hasn't fought professionally since beating the UFC's Conor McGregor in a boxing match back in 2017, he did face YouTuber Logan Paul in an exhibition this June.

He also fought kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition.

According to Ben Davies of the Mirror, YouTuber Money Kicks is in talks with Mayweather for the exhibition.

"I spoke with [my advisors] about Money Kicks. We don't really know," Mayweather said. "He is from [Dubai]. ... Money Kicks is doing big things and I like what I am seeing."

Mayweather was hyping his latest exhibition—or as he calls it, a "limited edition boxing showcase"—as an exclusive event.

"It's going to be a very special crowd, not too many people," he said. "So if you get the chance to come here, you must know, you're very, very special for this event."

Or just willing to spend enough money to travel to Dubai and watch an exhibition fight on the roof of a building between a retired boxer and his likely opponent, a YouTuber.

Floyd Mayweather Called Out by Oscar De La Hoya for Boxing Fight in 2022

In 2007, Floyd Mayweather Jr. beat Oscar De La Hoya via split decision to stake his claim as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world.

Fifteen years later, De La Hoya wants his rematch.

The 48-year-old called out Mayweather for a fight next year in an interview with TMZ Sports:

Personally, right now I'm not motivated because of COVID. I was actually in great shape and then COVID hit me, so my morale right now is a little low in terms of me fighting in the ring personally.

But come January, I'm sure I will get right back into it and start training again and prepare myself mentally first. But I do want to get out there again, possible Cinco de Mayo. [...] Who knows, it could be Floyd Mayweather.

De La Hoya has not fought professionally since a loss to Manny Pacquiao in December 2008. He was supposed to come out of retirement in September to fight Vitor Belfort but contracted COVID-19.

Mayweather, who retired an undefeated 50-0, returned to the ring for an exhibition against Logan Paul earlier this year.

Floyd Mayweather: I Would've Knocked Logan Paul out in 1st Round in a 'Real Fight'

Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally stated the obvious Thursday, saying he would have scored a first-round knockout of Logan Paul if their June exhibition was an officially sanctioned boxing match.

"I did an exhibition with the YouTuber Logan Paul. We had fun," Mayweather said, per TalkSport's Michael Benson. "People have gotta know, there's a difference between a real fight and an exhibition. All I did was work out from time to time. If it was a real fight, it would've been a blowout in the first round."

Mayweather and Paul went the eight-round distance, but the former five-division world champion never exerted himself beyond cruise control. He treated it like the glorified sparring session and kept it entertaining for those who tuned in.

A lot of people watched, too. The exhibition generated an estimated one million pay-per-view buys worth a total of around $50 million, according to Sportico.

Mayweather was gracious in victory, saying Paul exceeded his expectations.

"He's better than I thought he was," Mayweather told reporters. "... I was surprised by him tonight. Good work. Good little guy."

The fact of the matter is Mayweather, who retired with a 50-0 career record, could have ended the bout at a moment's notice if necessary.

That's not a diss against Paul, though. It's just the reality of a situation where one of the greatest boxers in history is taking on a social-media star whose only official fight was a split-decision loss to fellow YouTuber Olajide "KSI" Olatunji in 2019.

You don't go from a taking on KSI to seriously competing against Mayweather, especially with only a few years of boxing experience under your belt.

UFC star Conor McGregor owns ample big-fight experience and couldn't deliver any punches of consequence when he fought Mayweather, a master of defensive tactics, in 2017.

While Paul has suggested a rematch, it's probably better for him to walk away being able to tell people he survived eight rounds against Mayweather without getting knocked out.

Logan Paul Says 'I Would F--king Beat Mike Tyson' in a Boxing Fight

For the most part, Logan Paul was outclassed by Floyd Mayweather during their June exhibition. The famous YouTuber would like his chances, however, against another boxing legend.

Paul told Fight Hub TV that he "would f--king beat" the 55-year-old Tyson because the former heavyweight champion is "too old":

On the Full Send Podcast last month (via talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy), Tyson already ruled out an encounter with Jake Paul because of his family's fondness for the younger Paul brother. Perhaps opposing Logan would be a more amenable matchup.

Paul shouldn't be so quick to dismiss Tyson.

Sure, Iron Mike would show his age against an experienced fighter. Throw him out there against a relative novice and it might be a different story.

https://twitter.com/MikeTyson/status/1256300450539700224

In general, it probably isn't a good idea to antagonize one of the most dominant boxers of his era, no matter what age he might be.

All of a sudden, he's a generational talent. It seems like only yesterday—or at least not too long ago—that Canelo Alvarez was a precocious phenom being touted by his promotional apparatus as a lock to be a superstar...

Report: Floyd Mayweather Open to Oscar De La Hoya Fight for $100M Purse

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is reportedly "open" to a potential rematch with Oscar De La Hoya.

TMZ Sports reported Saturday sources close to Mayweather said the boxing match would be contingent on De La Hoya proving he can deliver a nine-figure payday after making that offer in an interview with TMZ earlier this week.

"You know who I'm gonna call out for my next fight? Floyd Mayweather," De La Hoya said. "I'll offer Floyd Mayweather $100 million."

The boxing superstars previously faced off in a highly anticipated May 2007 encounter.

Mayweather, 44, won that clash by split decision. While there were plans for a potential rematch, "Money" opted instead to enter the first of several in-ring retirements following a win over Ricky Hatton in December 2007.

The former five-division world champion has since scored wins over Shane Mosley, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Manny Pacquiao, among others, while improving his career record to 50-0.

Mayweather's last official fight was a knockout of UFC star Conor McGregor in August 2017, though he's taken on a couple of exhibitions, including a June event with YouTuber Logan Paul.

"There's no more real fights for me," he told Lance Pugmire of The Athletic before the Paul bout. "Only exhibitions."

It sounds like a guaranteed $100 million check could get him to change that stance.

Meanwhile, De La Hoya last fought in December 2008 when he lost to Pacquiao.

The 48-year-old Los Angeles native was set to return for an exhibition fight with MMA fighter Vitor Belfort on Sept. 11, but he was forced to withdraw because of COVID-19. His preparations for that showcase made him realize he may still have something left in the tank, though.

"I've been training for quite a while now, and I actually sparred the other day, and I didn't know I was that good?" De La Hoya told DAZN's Chris Mannix in March. "I forgot how good I was. There's something there, I want to keep sparring, keep training. I want to see how my body holds up."

While there would certainly be interest in a rematch between two of the sport's longtime headliners, it's unclear whether The Golden Boy could deliver a $100 million purse to Mayweather and still have enough to make the event worthwhile for himself. Sources from Mayweather's camp told TMZ they "highly doubt" it'll happen.

That said, for now, the ball is back in De La Hoya's court.

Former six-division boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya has challenged Floyd Mayweather Jr. to a fight later this year with a potential nine-figure payday.

De La Hoya, who pulled out of a recent exhibition against MMA fighter Vitor Belfort because of COVID-19, told TMZ Sports in an interview released Tuesday he's recovered from the coronavirus, which he described as "five days of hell," and has resumed thoughts of a boxing comeback.

"You know who I'm gonna call out for my next fight? Floyd Mayweather," he told TMZ. "... I'll offer Floyd Mayweather $100 million."

Mayweather previously defeated De La Hoya by split decision in May 2007 to win the WBC light middleweight title. De La Hoya's last fight before retirement came the following year in a December 2008 loss to Manny Pacquiao.

The 48-year-old California native told DAZN's Chris Mannix in March that "Mike Tyson inspired the hell out of me" when he made a comeback for an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. last November at age 54.

"I've been training for quite a while now, and I actually sparred the other day, and I didn't know I was that good?" De La Hoya said at the time. "I forgot how good I was. There's something there, I want to keep sparring, keep training. I want to see how my body holds up."

The Golden Boy added: "We all know that a Mayweather fight would be massive."

Meanwhile, Mayweather's most recent official fight came against UFC superstar Conor McGregor in August 2017. He won by 10th-round knockout to push his career record to 50-0.

He's since shifted his focus to lucrative exhibitions, having taken on Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in December 2018 and YouTube star Logan Paul in June.

Mayweather, 44, told Lance Pugmire of The Athletic before the Paul bout his days of putting together long training camps for official fights were likely over.

"There's no more real fights for me," he said. "Only exhibitions."

It's unclear whether Mayweather is interested in a rematch with De La Hoya and whether it'd be contested as a sanctioned fight or an exhibition.
