The final week of the 2022 Fan Controlled Football regular season occurred Saturday with all eight teams in action at the Pullman Yards in Atlanta, and it did not disappoint.

The Kingpins opened the action with a 24-20 win over Bored Ape FC to improve to 3-4, and the Glacier Boyz followed with a 28-20 win over the SB Stars to improve to 3-4.

Unfortunately for Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, the Knights of Degen fell to 8oki 36-30, but Johnny Manziel's Zappers pulled off a miraculous 42-38 win over the Beasts to close out the weekend.

Glacier Boyz 28, SB Stars 20

8oki def. Knights of Degen 36-30

Zappers def. Beasts 42-38

Recap

The Kingpins picked up an impressive win over Bored Ape FC, which had just one loss.

Running back Daryl Virgies opened the scoring to help the Kingpins take an 8-0 lead. Virgies entered with 46 carries for 181 yards and four touchdowns.

The defense then followed with a huge hit to force a turnover.

The Kingpins took a 16-0 lead after a run by quarterback Tirri Jones before Bored Ape FC responded with a touchdown by slot receiver Kevin Felder to cut the gap to 16-6. Felder had been quiet, entering with just five catches for 73 yards.

Meanwhile, Jones has been one of the Kingpins' best players. He entered as the second-best rusher in the league with 52 carries for 288 yards and seven touchdowns and also ranked among the top passers with 36 completions and 14 touchdowns on 82 attempts.

Bored Ape FC added another score on a run by quarterback Vidal Woodruff to make it 16-12. Woodruff entered Saturday having completing 22 of 51 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns with four interceptions in addition to rushing for 86 yards and a score.

The Kingpins put the game out of reach with a touchdown by tight end Joshua Johnson, who has been an impact player. He entered with six catches for 121 yards and five touchdowns.

In the second game, the SB Stars opened the scoring with a quick pitch to Ismail Brooks, who put his team up 6-0.

The Glacier Boyz responded with a touchdown of their own on a run up the middle by slot receiver Harrison Dreher and took an 8-6 lead. But the SB Stars responded with an impressive touchdown by Tyis Boykin to regain a 14-8 lead.

The Glacier Boyz went up 22-20 thanks to two touchdowns by running back Brycen Alleyne sandwiched around a score by D'Vonn Gibbons.

Alleyne has been the most effective running back in the FCF, having entered with 72 carries for 349 yards and eight touchdowns.

Defensive back Julian Charles recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown to cap the scoring.

The third game of Saturday's slate between the Knights of Degen and 8oki was arguably the most exciting as a number of stars came out to support Terrell Owens and the Knights of Degen. Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Marcus Peters, Marshawn Lynch and Todd Gurley were among the players in attendance.

While 8oki won the game 36-30, it was by no means an easy victory. That said, they got off to a great start when quarterback Mitch Kidd found receiver Joseph Boykin for a touchdown to take a 6-0 lead.

Knights of Degen responded quickly with a rushing touchdown from quarterback Ed Crouch, who cruised into the end zone without being touched by a single defender. Crouch then found Owens for the two-point conversion to give KOD an 8-6 lead.

Things got rough for 8oki on the next drive when Mitch Kidd threw an interception to Knights of Degen defensive back Marquill Osborne. KOD made the turnover count as Crouch found Owens once again, this time for the touchdown, to take a 14-6 lead just before halftime.

8oki came out of halftime with a quick response to KOD's late first-half touchdown. Kidd connected with Boykin for his second touchdown of the game to cut Knights of Degen's lead to 14-12.

The Knights of Degen could not be stopped offensively on their next drive as Crouch scrambled out of the pocket to find receiver Jacoby Herring for the touchdown, extending their lead 22-12.

However, 8oki made it interesting late in the second half when Kidd found receiver Patrick Smith to make it a 22-18 game. They also converted on the two-point conversion Comeback Rule to make it 22-20.

The Comeback Rule allows the trailing team to keep the ball by converting a 10-yard play on one possession to maintain the football.

With 8oki up 28-22, Crouch continued his impressive evening for Knights of Degen by rushing for a long touchdown to tie the game 28-28 with 26 seconds remaining. Owens then completed the two-point conversion to put KOD up 30-28.

With the game appearing over, Kidd found Smith for a long completion with 12 seconds remaining to set up a prime scoring opportunity for 8oki. Malcolm Ballard then rushed in for a touchdown to win 36-30.

It was an incredible game for both Crouch and Owens despite the loss. Owens, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, finished with multiple two-point conversions and multiple touchdowns.

The final game of Saturday’s slate ended with the Zappers defeating the Beasts 42-38 to close out the regular season.

However, the Zappers got out to a rough start as the Beasts wasted no time getting on the scoreboard when quarterback Alphonso Howard found wide receiver Jordus Smith to give his team an early 6-0 lead.

The Beasts added to their early lead when Zappers quarterback Kelly Bryant tossed an interception to defensive back DaShawn Benton, who returned it for a touchdown to put the Beasts up 12-0.

After going down by two scores, Bryant and the Zappers responded with a touchdown pass to running back Shuncee Thomas to cut the Beasts lead to 12-6.

However, the Beasts responded quickly to regain their two-score lead, going up 18-6 when Howard found Smith for his second touchdown of the night.

That said, Bryant and the Zappers would not be silenced as he rushed in for a touchdown and later the two-point conversion to keep his team within distance and down just 18-14.

The back-and-forth continued when Howard found receiver Lamarcus Caradine to give the Beasts a 24-14 lead just before halftime. The Zappers responded on a touchdown from offensive lineman Alex Heil to make it 24-20 game at the half.

It was an impressive play altogether, but it started with wide receiver Terrance Williams taking the ball up the middle of the field before sending a lateral pass to Heil for the score.

The Zappers came out of halftime to take a 26-24 lead over the Beasts on a touchdown pass from Bryant to Josh Johnson.

The Beasts eventually went on to score late in the second half when Howard found Smith for the receiver’s third touchdown of the day. His touchdown gave the Beasts a 30-26 lead.

The Zappers responded on yet another touchdown run from Bryant to take a late 34-32 lead before the Beasts responded on Smith’s fourth touchdown of the day to go up 38-34.

The final minute of the game was perhaps the most chaotic as Bryant threw an interception that was picked off by Beasts defensive back Julian Charles with the Zappers down 38-34 to the Beasts.

The Zappers went on to win the game 42-38 on a defensive touchdown with just four seconds remaining. The Zappers defense forced Howard to fumble and scooped up the ball to score.

That said, Howard was undoubtedly down and it shouldn’t have been a fumble but in Fan Controlled Football, it was up to the fans to make the call, and they voted it to be a fumble.

Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel did not appear in the Zappers’ final regular season game.

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Says He Won't Race Jaylen Waddle: 'I Can’t Race No More'

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill's racing days appear to be over.

"I can’t race no more, man," Hill said when asked at a Wednesday press conference about a potential race with teammate Jaylen Waddle.

It's unclear why Hill has decided to call it a career in the racing realm, but Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post noted that Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel isn't going to stop Hill and Waddle from racing if that's what they want to do.

"I’m not going to tell them not to race," McDaniel said. "I love competitors. I’m also not going to force them to race."

Hill's comments dropped a couple weeks after a potential race with Seattle Seahawks wideout DK Metcalf for $50,000 toward charity appeared to be in the works.

Hill most recently finished last in a four-person "Fastest Man in the NFL" competition at 2022 Pro Bowl weekend. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons took the honors there. In fairness, Hill had just played a trio of playoff games during the last month and may not have been at his top form.

In the past, Hill notably beat ex-Kansas City Chiefs teammate Mecole Hardman in a race during the 2020 offseason. He also took down Pro Football Hall of Fame wideout Terrell Owens.

Terrell Owens: I 'Guarantee' I Can Still Run a Sub-4.5 40-Yard Dash at Age 48

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, who plays for Fan Controlled Football's Knights of Degen, still believes he's among the fastest football players, even at 48 years old.

During an interview on The People's Pregame: NBCLX’s Fan Controlled Football Podcast hosted by Kahlief Adams, Owens guaranteed he could run a sub-4.5 40-yard dash, claiming he can currently run it in 4.4 seconds:

I guarantee you I can run under 4.5. I can run a 4.4 now. ... Would that still move the meter to make somebody pull the trigger of doing it? Who knows. But I know I can run. Like I said, speed is part of the football game, but there's a lot of people that run 4.4s, you know what I mean. But that doesn't mean that they can actually play. For me to do that at my age and understand and be knowledgable about the game, that's beneficial for any team.

Owens' comments aren't far-fetched, either. In 2020, when he was 46, he challenged then-Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who is one of the fastest in the NFL, to a 40-yard dash. He finished with a time of about 4.4 seconds, per ESPN.

For comparison, Hill ran the 40-yard dash in 4.29 seconds at his pro day. A number of wide receivers in the 2022 draft class also ran the 40-yard dash in under 4.4 seconds at the NFL combine.

Owens, a Hall of Famer, had a tremendous NFL career, catching 1,078 passes for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns in 219 games. It would be interesting to see him race Hill and some of the other speedy NFL wide receivers in 2022.

The last winless team of the 2022 Fan Controlled Football league season is winless no more, as quarterback Johnny Manziel helped the Zappers score their first victory Saturday.

With Johnny Football rotating in at quarterback throughout the game, the Zappers took down Shoulda Been Stars 28-24 to improve their record to 1-4.

The win came in the Zappers' first game without Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens, who was traded to the Knights of Degen this week.

In addition to the Zappers' triumph, three other FCF games were scheduled for Saturday. Here is a look at the entire Week 5 slate and how each game played out.

FCF Week 5 Schedule and Scores

Zappers def. Shoulda Been Stars 28-24

Kingpins def. 8oki 34-28

Bored Apes Football Club def. Knights of Degen, 18-16

Glacier Boyz def. Beasts, 34-18

FCF Week 5 Recap

Glacier Boyz 34, Beasts 18

Glacier Boyz ended their two-game losing streak with an impressive 34-18 victory against Beasts in the final game on the Week 5 schedule.

History was made on the first play of the game, as the Glacier Boyz scored the fastest touchdown in FCF history. On the opening possession, Beasts quarterback Alphonso Howard bobbled a bad snap and lost the ball in the end zone when he was sacked.

Trailing 8-0 after four seconds, Beasts did settle in to erase the bad taste of that first turnover. Martavis Bryant got the first touchdown of the day for Beasts on a 13-yard catch from Howard.

Andrew Jamiel was a big-play machine for Glacier Boyz. He caught two touchdowns in the win, including one with 21 seconds remaining in the first half to extend the lead to 20-6.

It was a good day for Glacier Boyz wide receiver. Jordus Smith also had a touchdown reception. He also received a hearty endorsement from Terrell Owens as a potential NFL-caliber player.

Beasts tried to make things interesting late in the fourth quarter. Chris Barrett threw an interception with Glacier Boyz leading 28-12. Howard found Bryant in the end zone with 41 seconds remaining on fifth down to cut the deficit to 10.

Beasts were unable to convert on a two-point conversion to make it a one-score game. Glacier Boyz ran out the clock to secure the win and improve their record to 2-3.

Glacier Boyz will look to win back-to-back games for the first time this season against Zappers next week. Beasts (2-3) will attempt to end its two-game losing streak on May 21 vs. Shoulda Been Stars.

Bored Apes Football 18, Knights of Degen 16

Bored Apes Football remains undefeated after an 18-16 win over Knights of Degen thanks to stellar play by the defense.

With Knights of Degen driving and a chance to take the lead late in the fourth quarter, running back Terelle West had the ball knocked out of his hand inside the five-yard line. The Apes recovered in their end zone to preserve the lead and run out the clock.

The Knights scored 16 consecutive points after falling behind 6-0 in the first quarter. They led most of the game thanks to some terrific play by Ed Crouch.

Crouch kept the ball on an option play, avoided two defenders and made a cutback to the middle of the field to find the end zone in the final minute of the first half

The Knights defense nearly came up huge at the end of the first half. They got a stop on 4th-and-1, but the Apes were able to use their one fifth-down play to make something happen.

Deondre Francois took advantage of the extra down with a 32-yard touchdown run to cut the deficit to 16-12 at the break.

Clinging to a 16-12 advantage, Knights of Degen had an opportunity to extend their lead. But Bored Apes Football got a stop on 4th-and-goal to give the offense another chance to take the lead.

They were unable to capitalize on this opportunity when Francois threw an interception that was initially returned for a touchdown. The touchdown was called back due to a penalty, but the turnover stood with just under eight minutes left to play.

After the Bored Apes defense got a stop, Francois redeemed himself by hitting Darren Woods in the end zone for the go-ahead score with 3:25 left to play.

The Apes' defense made its stand and got the turnover on the next drive by the Knights to secure the win.

Bored Apes Football is the last remaining undefeated team in the league with a 5-0 record. They will look to secure their sixth straight win next week against 8oki. Knights (3-2) will attempt to get back on track when it takes on Kingpins.

Zappers 28, Shoulda Been Stars 24

Shoulda Been Stars entered Week 5 as a big favorite over the winless Zappers thanks to their 3-1 mark, and while they almost completed a huge comeback, they were unable to stave off the upset.

After falling behind 22-0 in the first half, Should Been Stars staged a furious comeback and got down to the Zappers' 15-yard line with two seconds remaining in the game, but they were unable to score the go-ahead touchdown.

While Manziel is the face of the Zappers, it was former University of Memphis quarterback Jason Stewart who took the bulk of the snaps Saturday.

On the strength of a pair of touchdown passes, Stewart staked the Zappers out to a 14-0 lead in the opening half:

Manziel got in on the act as well, throwing a scoring strike to wide receiver Terrance Williams to extend the lead to 22-0:

That touchdown had a decidedly Texas flavor, as Manziel starred and won the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M before playing for the Cleveland Browns in the NFL, while Williams played collegiately at Baylor and for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL.

It was from that point that Shoulda Been Stars made things interesting, starting with a touchdown pass from quarterback Slade Jarman to wide receiver Tyis Boykin with 15 seconds left in the first half:

That was followed by another Jarman touchdown pass early in the second half to shrink the deficit to 22-16:

The deluge continued when Stewart threw a pick-six on a ball tipped at the line of scrimmage to put Shoulda Been Stars ahead by two points:

All signs pointed toward Shoulda Been Stars completing the comeback with momentum firmly on their side, but Stewart bounced back with a touchdown pass to running back Shuncee Thomas to put the Zappers back on top:

At that point, Manziel expressed excitement over the play of Stewart:

Since Manziel is only playing in a part-time role rather than taking every snap this season, the emergence of another quarterback was of the utmost importance, and Stewart clearly came to play Saturday.

Now, the Zappers will look to keep rolling when they face the Glacier Boyz next week, while Shoulda Been Stars will attempt to bounce back against the Beasts.

Kingpins 34, 8oki 28

The Kingpins held on for a much-needed win, defeating 8oki 34-28 to improve to 2-3.

After scoring with two seconds left to cut the deficit to six, 8oki had a chance to tie it with a Hail Mary, but quarterback Mitch Kidd's pass was intercepted in the end zone to seal the victory for the Kingpins.

The teams traded touchdowns for much of the game, particularly in the first half when each side found the end zone twice.

The Kingpins got the scoring started with a dump-off from quarterback Tirri Jones to running back Daryl Virgies:

8oki answered with one of the most remarkable plays of the season, as Kidd fired the ball from his own end zone to wide receiver Malik Elion for a 49-yard score:

A rushing touchdown by Jones put the Kingpins back on top 12-8, but 8oki found paydirt again with just over two minutes remaining in the half.

Kidd orchestrated the play once again, finding tight end Chris Robb Jr. for a touchdown to put 8oki ahead 14-12 at halftime:

The lead was short-lived, though, thanks to a 38-yard touchdown run by Virgies with less than a minute left in the opening half to put the Kingpins back on top:

The see-saw affair continued early in the second half with Kidd's third touchdown pass, this time to running back Malcolm Ballard to make it 22-20 in favor of 8oki:

An overturned call for a touchdown led to another lead change, however, and the Kingpins used timely defense to help extend that lead.

Ballard was about to punch the ball in for a touchdown for 8oki, but he fumbled just before crossing the goal line, and the Kingpins recovered:

A long touchdown pass from Jones to wideout Collin Andrews made the score 34-22 with 19 seconds remaining and seemingly sealed the game:

While 8oki did make it interesting with a late touchdown and Hail Mary attempt, the deficit proved too much to overcome.

Both 8oki and the Kingpins are 2-3, and both teams have big games on tap next week, with 8oki facing Bored Ape Football Club and the Kingpins taking on Knights of Degen.

Fan Controlled Football's second season began Saturday with a four-game slate that featured the Beasts' 36-20 win over the Glacier Boyz to kick off the festivities.

The day also included Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens' return to professional football.

The 48-year-old Owens, who is third all-time on the NFL's career receiving yards and receiving touchdown lists, is suiting up for the Zappers. He had only one catch but made it count with a leaping touchdown as time ran out in a 20-12 loss.

Johnny Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and former Cleveland Browns quarterback, is also on that team. However, he did not play on Saturday.

Other stars of the day included 20-year-old Qwan'Tez Stiggers, who had three interceptions (including a pick-six) for the Beasts. Running back Jakobie Baker also scored four touchdowns for Bored Ape FC.

Here's a look at all the Week 1 action.

Week 1 Scores and Schedule

Beasts 36, Glacier Boyz 20

Bored Ape FC 36, Knights of Degen 32

Shoulda Been Stars 20, Zappers 12

8oki Football Club 28, Kingpins 26

Beasts 36, Glacier Boyz 20

Stiggers was unstoppable Saturday, and his pick-six gave the Beasts a 26-14 lead.

The Glacier Boyz's Andrew Jamiel was the other star in this game after scoring three touchdowns.

The Glacier Boyz trailed 28-20 after the third Jamiel score and were driving down the field in the final minute, but Mike Lee sealed this game with the Beasts' fourth interception and second pick-six:

With that, the Beasts opened the FCF season with the W.

Bored Ape FC 36, Knights of Degen 32

It was the Jakobie Baker show in Game 2.

Baker capped a four-TD day with a 20-yard game-winning grab with eight seconds remaining as Bored Ape FC won their opener 36-32.

Baker scored three rushing touchdowns prior to his final score.

Ed Crouch, the Knights of Degen quarterback, threw a dime for a touchdown to Yedidiah Louis and ran for two more scores.

Knights of Degen took the lead with a Terelle West rushing touchdown with 56 seconds left for a 30-28 lead. They got the two-point conversion for the 32-28 edge.

Bored Ape FC responded with the game-winning score, though. They sealed the win with an interception in the end zone off a desperation Knights of Degen Hail Mary as time expired.

Shoulda Been Stars 20, Zappers 12

A defensive slugfest ended with Shoulda Been Stars taking home the win, 20-12.

Shun'Cee Thomas opened the scoring for the Zappers with this rushing touchdown.

Owens tried for the two-point conversion, but it fell incomplete:

LaDarius Galloway got Shoulda Been Stars on the board with a rushing touchdown of his own. After a successful two-pointer, Shoulda Been Stars took the lead.

Jacoby Herring increased Shoulda Been Stars' lead before the half with this acrobatic catch:

Slade Jarman sealed the deal by evading pressure, throwing off his back foot and finding Herring for TD No. 2 and a 20-6 edge with 15 seconds left.

The Zappers ended the game on a high note, though, as Owens went up high for the TD.

8oki Football Club 28, Kingpins 26

While Owens was the day's biggest storyline, he wasn't the grand finale.

The final game of the slate featured a showdown between the 8oki Football Club against Kingpins, and the latter found paydirt first with a quarterback keeper and impressive touchdown throw to end the half:

However, the Kingpins were also going up against some celebrity play-calling and perfectly placed deep balls from quarterback Mitch Foot:

That seemed to be enough for the 8oki Football Club to start the season on the right foot, but Kingpins came charging back with two late touchdowns.

It was fitting that Foot played the role of hero, and his final pass in the final two seconds went right into his receiver's hands for the game-winning touchdown.

Terrell Owens Says He Wants to Box Donovan McNabb: 'I'd Knock Chunky Soup from Him'

In 2014, Terrell Owens said he moved on from his beef with former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.

Apparently not.

The Hall of Fame wide receiver told Shannon Sharpe he wants to box McNabb and "knock chunky soup from him" in what seems to be a reference to the quarterback's old Campbell's soup commercials.

"I'm dead serious," Owens said. "Shannon, I'll knock him out. Because there would be so much pent up … I'll be controlled. It'll be controlled anger. I'd be like a Navy SEAL. They're cool and calm under all conditions. But there would be a fire burning inside of me."

Owens and McNabb played together in 2004 and 2005 on the Eagles and even reached a Super Bowl. Yet the issues they had with each other dominated the headlines.

It seems as though some of those issues have lingered into retirement.

Terrell Owens on Tyreek Hill vs. Usain Bolt Race: 'That's Comical...No Way Possible'

Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens isn't giving Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill any chance of beating three-time Olympic 100-meter gold medalist Usain Bolt in a race.

Owens pointed toward a couple of races where he faced off with Hill in July 2020 when he was 46 years old. He lost the 40-yard dash by a few strides as Hill, 26 at the time, posted a winning time of 4.37 seconds. The Chiefs star then gave him a 10-yard advantage in a race covering a full NFL field, and Owens held on to win by four or five yards.

"So, to think that he can beat Usain Bolt? I mean, straight up, there's no way possible," Owens told TMZ Sports in an interview released Sunday. "I mean, have you seen this guy run?"

The six-time Pro Bowl selection also took the opportunity to call out Brandon Marshall, another former NFL receiver, for ducking him in final negotiations about a potential $100,000 match race.

"He called me out!" Owens told TMZ. "He wagered $100K to race me in a 60-meter that has yet to be done because he keeps backing out. He's backed out on me twice. So, if I could say anything to Brandon right now ... Brandon, don't be a coward!"

Meanwhile, the potential for a Hill vs. Bolt showdown has been brewing for a while.

The Chiefs receiver jokingly called the Jamaican superstar, who retired from competition in 2017, "washed up" in late July:

Bolt responded during an appearance earlier this month on The Dan Patrick Show, saying he'd put up one of his Olympic gold medals against Hill's Super Bowl championship ring:

If both lightning-fast athletes were in peak form, Bolt would be a considerable favorite—he is the fastest man in recorded history, after all.

It's unclear what type of times he'd be able to post at age 35 after four years of retirement, though. That would at least bring some intrigue into a possible showdown with the 27-year-old Georgia native.

For now, Hill is focused on trying to chase down another Super Bowl title with the Chiefs, but perhaps in the offseason fans will get to see Hill vs. Bolt with Owens vs. Marshall on the undercard.
