A California gas station owned by Joe Chahayed, the father-in-law of longtime NFL defensive tackle Domata Peko, sold the winning $2 billion Powerball ticket.

Darren Rovell of the Action Network reported Chahayed will receive $1 million as a reward for selling the coveted ticket:

"My father-in-law sold the winning Powerball [for] $2 billion. Congratulations Baba," Peko wrote Tuesday on his Instagram story.

The ticket was sold at Joe's Service Center in Altadena, California. A winner hasn't come forward as of early Wednesday afternoon.

"We are excited. We are happy for California, happy for Los Angeles County and happy for the city of Altadena," Chahayed told KTLA's Cindy Von Quednow. "We are happy for the schools. They're going to get more money."

Peko was a fourth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2006 NFL draft. He spent the first 11 seasons with the AFC North franchise.

The 6'3'', 325-pound defensive lineman went on to make stops with the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals, his most recent team in 2020. He hasn't formally retired despite not playing the last two seasons.

"You deserve it! My wife Anna's dad. Let's go," Peko wrote on the Instagram story.

Chahayed, 75, told Von Quednow he plans to share his winnings with his children and 11 grandchildren.

"There's no one else that deserves it more than this man," one of his sons told KTLA.

The lucky owner of the winning ticket has one year to come forward to claim the record-setting prize.

Joe Mixon had one of the best individual days of the 2022 season with 153 rushing yards, 58 receiving yards and five total touchdowns for the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday's 42-21 win over the Carolina Panthers.

It was a historically impressive effort from the veteran running back.

Most of the discussion on social media was about the impact on fantasy leagues, as Mixon decided countless matchups single-handedly.

The Bengals rode Mixon to a one-sided victory over the Panthers, and the running back likely carried fantasy managers to wins in any format in Week 9.

Adam Zimmer, Son of Mike and Former Vikings Co-Defensive Coordinator, Dies at Age 38

Cincinnati Bengals offensive analyst Adam Zimmer, the son of former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, died Monday at the age of 38.

His sister, Corri Zimmer White, announced the news in an Instagram post Tuesday.

No further information about his death was immediately released.

Bengals president Mike Brown expressed condolences in a statement Tuesday:

Zimmer played college football at Trinity University from 2002 through 2005 before he began his coaching career as an assistant linebackers coach with the New Orleans Saints in 2006, winning a Super Bowl title with the franchise at the end of the 2009 season.

The Utah native also spent time with the Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs before joining his father's staff as the Vikings' linebackers coach in 2014. He was promoted to co-defensive coordinator alongside Andre Patterson in 2020.

Minnesota revamped its entire coaching staff last offseason after firing Mike Zimmer following an 8-9 season, which marked a second straight year out of the playoffs.

Adam Zimmer rejoined the Bengals' coaching group in July, taking on an offensive role for the first time in his career.

Cincinnati's next game is scheduled for Sunday at home against the Carolina Panthers.

Joe Burrow: Bengals Aren't Panicking After Loss, Says Browns Have 'Had Our Number'

Despite a rough showing in Monday's 32-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns, Joe Burrow isn't concerned about the Cincinnati Bengals' ability to bounce back.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Burrow said the Bengals are "not panicking" because Cleveland is a team that has "had our number the last couple years."

This was the fourth consecutive win for the Browns over the Bengals dating back to the 2020 season. One of those victories was in Week 18 last season when Cincinnati sat all of its key starters to prepare for the playoffs.

The Bengals have been inconsistent through eight games. Their offense struggled out of the gate, scoring just 37 points in losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys to start the season.

It looked like Burrow and head coach Zac Taylor figured things out. The Bengals won four of the previous five games before Monday night. The Bengals had a combined total of 65 points and 936 yards in wins over the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.

Cincinnati has been held to 20 points or fewer in each of its four losses. Even though the front office invested in the offensive line during the offseason, Burrow is still being sacked at a high rate. He was taken down five times on Monday, bringing his season total to 29.

Coming into Week 8, ESPN's pass-block win rate had the Bengals ranked 29th in the NFL (47 percent).

Monday was the first time Cincinnati played without Ja'Marr Chase. The star wide receiver suffered a hip injury in last week's victory over the Falcons. Taylor told reporters on Saturday that Chase won't be placed on injured reserve, with the hope he can return before the estimated four-to-six week timeline.

Chase had at least 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns in each of the previous two games.

Burrow is right to keep a level head at this point in the season. The Bengals are only one game behind the Baltimore Ravens for the top spot in the AFC North. They were 5-4 after nine games in 2021 before winning five of their next seven games.

Cincinnati will look to get back on track at home Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Bengals Crushed for 'Total Failure' in Blowout Loss to Browns Without Ja'Marr Chase

The Cincinnati Bengals may have figured out how to make the Super Bowl last season, but they still can't figure out the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland defeated its AFC North rival 32-13 in Monday's showdown, dropping the Bengals to 4-4 on the season and an ugly 1-8 against the Browns in their last nine matchups. It seemed like things were starting to turn around for the reigning AFC champions this season with two straight wins, but they looked lost on both sides of the ball in Cleveland.

It didn't help that star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was sidelined by a hip injury, but Jerry Rice in his prime might not have made a difference in the outcome for the Bengals.

The offensive line couldn't block for Joe Burrow, the defense couldn't contain Nick Chubb or Amari Cooper, and the game was out of hand before the end of the third quarter.

Social media also didn't miss its chance to jump all over the Bengals for their performance:

Cincinnati was in scramble mode from the start and failed to score a point in a first half that included a Burrow interception and lost fumble, a missed field goal from Evan McPherson, and three Cleveland sacks as Myles Garrett and Co. applied constant pressure against an overwhelmed offensive line.

While the Bengals defense kept them within striking distance with two forced turnovers in the first half, Cleveland pulled away with a touchdown run and pass from Jacoby Brissett in the third quarter.

Even when Cincinnati finally found the end zone in the fourth quarter, McPherson missed the ensuing extra point. It was a fitting metaphor in an abysmal showing for a team that will need to regroup and bounce back if it is going to challenge for another Super Bowl run.

As if that wasn't enough, cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Tre Flowers were each ruled out with injuries during the contest, making life against Cooper even more difficult.

Things will probably go better for the Bengals when they return home to face the Carolina Panthers because they can't go much worse.

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase Won't Be Placed on IR After Suffering Hip Injury

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will be sidelined for approximately four to six weeks with a hip injury, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Saturday his star wideout won't be placed on injured reserve. A move to IR would have kept Chase out for a minimum of four weeks.

The 22-year-old suffered the injury in an Oct. 16 win over the New Orleans Saints and reaggravated it in last weekend's victory over the Atlanta Falcons, per Schefter.

The fifth pick in the 2021 draft, Chase put together a monster sophomore season at LSU with 84 catches for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns in 14 games before opting to sit out the 2020 campaign. He tallied 1,455 yards and 13 scores in an impressive season that earned him Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

He's added 47 receptions for 605 yards and six TDs in seven games in 2022.

The Louisiana native didn't miss any time with the Tigers because of injury. His last notable setback came in 2017 during his time at Archbishop Rummel High School when he suffered a knee injury late in his senior season.

Cincinnati's receiver depth will be challenged with Chase out, which would create an opening in three-wide sets alongside Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. Mike Thomas will likely get the first shot to fill the void, but Trent Taylor could also see more snaps.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow torched the Atlanta Falcons for 481 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 35-17 win, and he set a record in the process.

Sunday's game marked the fifth 400-plus passing yard game of Burrow's career, and he became the first player in NFL history to accomplish the feat in the first three seasons of his career, passing Hall of Famer Dan Marino, per ESPN Stats & Information (h/t ESPN's Ben Baby).

The other games Burrow has thrown for 400-plus yards include:

  • Oct. 25, 2020 vs. Cleveland Browns: 35-of-47 for 406 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
  • Oct. 24, 2021 vs. Baltimore Ravens: 23-of-38 for 416 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
  • Dec. 26, 2021 vs. Baltimore Ravens: 37-of-46 for 525 yards, 4 TD
  • Jan. 2, 2022 vs. Kansas City Chiefs: 30-of-39 for 446 yards, 4 TD

Burrow was cooking against the Falcons. He completed 34 of 42 passes and also rushed for 20 yards and one touchdown on three carries.

Tyler Boyd led the Bengals with eight catches for 155 yards and one touchdown. Ja'Marr Chase also caught eight passes for 130 yards and two scores, while Tee Higgins caught five passes for 93 yards.

Burrow has been one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL since being selected first overall in the 2020 NFL draft out of LSU.

Before suffering a season-ending torn ACL and MCL during his rookie season, he had completed 65.3 percent of his passes for 2,688 yards and 13 touchdowns against five interceptions, in addition to rushing for 142 yards and three scores.

In 2021, he was named Comeback Player of the Year after completing 70.4 percent of his passes for 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns against 14 interceptions, in addition to rushing for 118 yards and two scores.

Burrow went on to lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl last season, but they fell to the Los Angeles Rams.

After a shaky start to the 2022 campaign, the 25-year-old now has Cincinnati tied for the AFC North lead with a 4-3 record. The Baltimore Ravens are also 4-3 on the season.

The Bengals are set to face the Browns next week before hosting the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 6.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has announced a new charitable foundation in his name:

The nonprofit will help those dealing with food insecurity and childhood mental health issues, especially in Ohio and Louisiana.

Burrow discussed the new charity, via the official Bengals website:

"I believe that everyone has a responsibility to do good. This Foundation allows me and my family to give back. So many of you made generous contributions to support food insecurity in Athens County, Ohio following my 2019 Heisman Trophy speech. We will build on our efforts to tackle food insecurity by also finding ways to offer up support in Greater Cincinnati, other parts of Ohio, Baton Rouge and Louisiana. My mom, a lifetime educator, experiences firsthand the effect of mental health issues on children and their families. We want to make a difference here as well."

The quarterback's parents will also play a significant role in the new endeavor. His mother Robin will be organization's secretary and treasurer, while his father Jimmy will be vice president. Joe Burrow will be the charity's president.

Burrow had already been helping families through The Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund, which came to prominence after the quarterback's memorable Heisman Trophy speech led to donations for the Athens County Food Pantry.

The third-year player continues to help the communities around him while expanding his efforts in the new Joe Burrow Foundation.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill said he's going to seek out an unnamed Cincinnati Bengals coach to discuss comments made during Thursday night's game.

"Whichever coach that is, I'm gonna come find you, bro," Hill told reporters. "... Me and you gotta have a mano-a-mano conversation. 'Cause at the end of the day, I felt disrespected as a man."

Hill led all players with 10 catches for 160 yards, but the Bengals scored an important 27-15 victory at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.

The six-time Pro Bowler didn't yield any further details about the opposing coach's alleged remarks, and there were no signs of the interaction during television coverage of the contest.

Hill sent some trash talk in the direction of Bengals cornerback Eli Apple leading up to the game, continuing a rivalry that's lasted since earlier this year.

"I can't wait to go against Eli Apple," the Dolphins wideout said Sunday. "I owe you, boy. I owe you. Cheetah is here."

It's unclear whether that played a role in the bad blood with the Cincy sideline.

Meanwhile, Hill also addressed the scary injury suffered by Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was transported to the hospital for evaluation for head and neck injuries.

"You wanna win the game, but obviously you wanna make sure that your brother is alright," Hill said. "Football is just our part-time job, but that brotherhood is something that'll last forever."

The Dolphins later announced Tagovailoa was expected to travel back with the team after being discharged from the hospital.

Miami's next game is scheduled for Oct. 9 when the Dolphins visit the New York Jets.
