Aaron Rodgers has at least one prominent supporter with the Green Bay Packers amid his apparent frustration with the organization.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Davante Adams said he will "stand on the mountain and scream on the mountaintop" for the three-time NFL MVP.

"I'll back my guy up," he added.

There has been increased attention paid to the Rodgers-Packers situation in recent weeks because the team has gathered to take part in organized team activities and mandatory minicamp.

Peter King of NBC Sports wrote in his latest Football Morning in America column that Rodgers is "solid on never playing for the Packers again."

Appearing on ESPN's Get Up!, Adam Schefter reported that Rodgers remains "strong as hell" on his stance that he won't report to minicamp this week.

Adams' comments come in the wake of Packers president Mark Murphy writing in a monthly column on the team's official website that the situation with Rodgers "has divided our fan base."

Murphy did note the team remains "committed" to having Rodgers as the starting quarterback in 2021.

Adams has spent his entire seven-year career with the Packers playing alongside Rodgers. The duo has become arguably the best quarterback-receiver tandem in the NFL today.

Rodgers was named NFL MVP last season with Adams as his favorite target. The 28-year-old wideout led the league with 18 touchdowns, tied for second with 115 receptions and tied for fifth with 1,374 yards.

Amid the ongoing uncertainty with Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers can rest a little easier knowing they won't have to worry about going through offseason activities without Davante Adams.

The Packers star wideout told reporters Tuesday he doesn't plan to hold out despite entering the final season of his current contract:

There was some concern leading up to mandatory minicamp that Adams might decide to stay away from the Packers in search of a new contract.

Adams told reporters Tuesday his absence at organized team activities two weeks ago "wasn't what you guys are thinking for sure."

Virtually all of the attention on the Packers right now is focused on Aaron Rodgers' future with the organization. The reigning NFL MVP isn't at mandatory minicamp after ESPN's Adam Schefter reported in April that he wants to be traded.

Adams is set to earn $12.25 million in base salary this season, per Spotrac. His base salary is tied with Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for ninth-most among all wide receivers in 2021.

Coming off his first All-Pro selection last year, Adams seems likely to get one of the largest contracts in NFL history for a wide receiver. The 28-year-old has had at least 885 yards in each of the past five seasons and led the league with 18 touchdown catches in 2020.

Packers Rumors: Davante Adams Set to Attend Minicamp amid Aaron Rodgers Trade Buzz

Davante Adams and the rest of the Green Bay Packers receiving corps are expected to take part in the team's mandatory minicamp this week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is reportedly looking for a trade this offseason, is the only player who is in doubt for the minicamp.

Last month, Rodgers missed voluntary organized team activities, which featured 79 of 89 players on the roster, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. Adams and Green Bay's other top receivers—Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Devin Funchess and Equanimeous St. Brown—were also absent.

Head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters he spoke to the players individually and determined it was not a coordinated effort.

The receivers' return is important as they get a chance to work with Jordan Love ahead of his second year in the league.

The 2020 first-round pick is the presumed quarterback of the future but didn't take a snap last year and had few opportunities with the preseason canceled because of COVID-19.

This practice time will be valuable with all of his top options available at minicamp as he tries to develop chemistry with his teammates.

The Packers have given no indication they will trade Rodgers. General manager Brian Gutekunst is "holding firm" on not making a move, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. The veteran could still hold out, which would force Love onto the field whether or not Green Bay deals Rodgers.

Adams' return is also notable as he enters the final year of his contract.

The 28-year-old was one of the best receivers in the NFL last year with 115 catches for 1,374 yards and a league-high 18 receiving touchdowns. He will hope to get a new deal worthy of his talent, but it seems he will not hold out for an extension.

Schefter: Davante Adams, Top Packers WRs Skipping OTAs Along with Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers' top five wide receivers—Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Devin Funchess and Equanimeous St. Brown—were not present at the team's offseason team activities Tuesday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The same went for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has reportedly told people within the organization that he does not wish to return to the team, per a Schefter report on April 29.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters on Tuesday that it would be ideal if everyone on the team showed up for OTAs, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

“I think, as a coach, you always want as many guys that choose to show up here. I think there’s a lot of team chemistry, which is so important in winning and losing in this league and just learning how to play together, learning how to practice together, setting the standards for this football team. So certainly, yeah, you’d love to have everybody here.”

Schneidman also relayed that LaFleur has talked to each of the five no-show wideouts, and that "the idea of a coordinated effort to not report never came up."

Some of Green Bay's regular pass-catchers were in attendance, however, with tight ends Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis taking part, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Signal-caller Jordan Love, who the Packers selected No. 26 overall in the 2020 NFL draft out of Utah State, was QB1 on Tuesday.

LaFleur spoke about what the wideouts' absences may mean for Love, per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

"We're less concerned about maybe putting the perfect person in position, like we would in a game plan situation. It's more about being concerned we're putting Jordan in positions so he can continue to progress."

The Packers will take a day off from voluntary OTAs before returning to the field on Thursday.

Aaron Rodgers has four consecutive 4,000-yard passing seasons in years in which he played 16 regular-season games. That run was broken up by a seven-game, injury-shortened 2017 campaign in which the Green Bay Packers went 7-9...

Davante Adams 'Hoping and Praying' Aaron Rodgers Will Remain Packers QB

While Davante Adams understands Aaron Rodgers' frustration with the Green Bay Packers, he's holding out hope the reigning league MVP will still be his teammate next season.

Adams appeared on the Peter King Podcast and said he is "hoping and praying" Rodgers is under center Week 1:

"It's been tough, man. I've obviously spoke to [Rodgers] a little bit. Can't really share too much of what we talked about but it's just something that part of the business is you've got to keep people happy. And it's tough because you have so much time invested in one place and you've done so much for one place you just hope to see that respect reciprocated, I guess you could say. And when it doesn't work out exactly how you want, you have issues like this. But we're just being positive, and I'm just sticking to my training, doing what I have to do to put myself in a position to be ready, whoever my quarterback is come season. Hoping and praying that it's still Aaron, just so we can continue what we've had going this whole time. But, yeah, just going to continue working to see how it plays out."

Rodgers reportedly requested a trade from the Packers earlier this offseason, with the relationship between the two sides deteriorating over the last year, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The three-time MVP has seemingly seethed behind the scenes since the 2020 NFL draft, which saw the Packers trade up to select quarterback Jordan Love in Round 1 and then draft backups (running back AJ Dillon and tight end Josiah Deguara) in Rounds 2 and 3.

Rodgers was angered by the decision to not only select his replacement but by the Packers' lack of communication and urgency to win now.

General manager Brian Gutekunst has been the overwhelming source of Rodgers' scorn, with Bob McGinn of The Athletic reporting Rodgers began calling Gutekunst "Jerry Krause" in team group chats. Krause, the architect of the 1990s Chicago Bulls dynasty, is also most often seen as the reason the team fell apart before its time. Krause feuded with Scottie Pippen over his contract and coach Phil Jackson over organizational power, all while Michael Jordan actively derided the general manager.

Both McGinn and Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reported it's unclear if Rodgers will return if Gutekunst remains as general manager.

Gutekunst has made several public statements saying the team has no plans of trading Rodgers. However, he has also admitted that the lack of communication regarding the 2020 draft was a misstep on the organization's part.

Davante Adams Says He's Behind Aaron Rodgers 100% amid Packers Trade Rumors

If Aaron Rodgers ultimately departs the Green Bay Packers, it could start a domino effect.

Davante Adams appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd Monday and said if Rodgers was no longer with the organization, it would make him reexamine his own future with the team:

As for the situation brewing between the Packers and Rodgers, Adams added that he couldn't "speak on specifics but there are certain things [Rodgers] wants that maybe the club wasn't so excited about living up to right away, that can affect a guy who has done so much for the organization.  ... I've been behind him 100 percent through the whole thing. Obviously, I'm praying everything works out and we get him back."

Rodgers and Adams have forged one of the most dynamic quarterback-wideout pairings in the NFL. The 28-year-old Adams is a four-time Pro Bowler, was a first-team All-Pro selection this past season, posted 110 or more receptions and at least 1,300 receiving yards in two of the past three years and has reached double-digit touchdowns four times in his seven-year career.

He's emerged as one of the NFL's premier wide receivers, and he's also set to be an unrestricted free agent after the 2021 season, where he'll likely garner a huge payday. Without Rodgers on the roster, that payday might come elsewhere.

It's another wrinkle the Packers have to consider as they attempt to resuscitate their relationship with Rodgers, in what has become one of the NFL's central offseason sagas.

To date, the team has been crystal clear in its public statements that it has no desire to trade the superstar quarterback and defending MVP.

"No, we are not gonna trade Aaron Rodgers," general manager Brian Gutekunst said last month after the first round of the NFL draft.

"Obviously he's our quarterback, he's our leader," he added at the time. "We've been working through this for a little while now. And I just think it may take some time. But he's the guy who makes this thing go. He gives us the best chance to win. ... I do think he'll play for us again."

Everybody in Green Bay, including Adams, is hoping Gutekunst is right.

Aaron Rodgers' Twitter Account 'Likes' Davante Adams Tweet About Appreciation

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was among over 54,000 people who liked a Twitter post from Packers wide receiver Davante Adams about appreciation on Monday.

Rodgers, who's become the focus of intense speculation but hasn't publicly requested a trade, may be letting his "fingers do the talking," per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

It's impossible to know whether Adams' Tweet was related to the Rodgers situation or a more generic statement, but anything involving the Packers is going to drew extra attention right now.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday the three-time NFL MVP has "told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team," with the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers among the franchises that checked on his availability but were shooed away.

Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst addressed the situation bluntly after the first round of the 2021 NFL draft Thursday night.

"We're not going to trade Aaron Rodgers," Gutekunst told reporters. "... He's our quarterback, he's our leader. We've been working through for a little while now. It may take some time. He's the guy that makes this thing go. He gives us the best chance to win. We're going to work towards that end."

The 37-year-old Cal product is under contract through 2023 as part of four-year, $134 million deal, which limits his leverage to force a trade in the immediate future. However, Schefter noted the longtime Packers quarterback is also interested in taking over as the full-time Jeopardy! game show host.

So it's possible Rodgers returns to television screen this fall, but on Monday through Friday night rather than Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love is still the only other quarterback on the Packers roster following last week's draft.
