For the first time since the 2016-17 season, the Memphis Grizzlies are in the postseason thanks to their 117-112 overtime win over the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference play-in tournament on Friday.

The Grizzlies earned a date with the Warriors thanks to their victory over the San Antonio Spurs two days earlier. They will look to keep their positive momentum going with a first-round matchup against the top-seeded Utah Jazz.

Golden State had a two-day turnaround after Wednesday's heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors did have the benefit of playing this game at the Chase Center, but they were unable to hold serve on their home court.

Memphis had to hold on for dear life after blowing multiple double-digit leads, including a 10-point advantage in the fourth quarter.

In the biggest game of his young career, Ja Morant played like a superstar. He finished with 35 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals. The 21-year-old made two floaters on back-to-back possessions in the final minute of overtime to seal the win.

Stephen Curry took a little while to heat up, but he put up a game-high 39 points and made six of Golden State's 12 three-pointers. Draymond Green dropped a triple-double with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists.

Notable Game Stats

  • Ja Morant (MEM): 35 points (14-of-29 FG), 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals
  • Dillon Brooks (MEM): 14 points (7-of-22 FG)
  • Jonas Valanciunas (MEM): 9 points (3-of-6 FG), 12 rebounds
  • Stephen Curry (GS): 39 points (13-of-28 FG), 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals
  • Draymond Green (GS): 11 points (5-of-11 FG), 16 rebounds, 10 assists
  • Andrew Wiggins (GS): 22 points (10-of-22 FG), 10 rebounds

Grizzlies' Depth Overwhelms Warriors

Coming into the game, there seemed to be two ways for Memphis to win. The first was find a way to shut down Curry. The second was to take advantage of the depth its roster had over the Warriors.

Curry, who dropped 46 on 16-of-36 shooting in the regular-season finale between these two teams on Sunday, did come to life late after a slow start.

With Curry taken out of his rhythm, the Grizzlies wasted no time asserting themselves to take the Chase Center crowd out of the game. They jumped out to a 22-11 lead seven minutes into the first quarter.

Golden State seemed to get back on track with an 18-8 run to close the opening period down by just one.

Instead of getting deterred by that late surge, the Grizzlies responded with a huge second quarter. They outscored the Warriors 32-20 to back up by 13 at halftime.

Memphis' bench was doing all sorts of damage against Golden State's defense with Jonas Valanciunas and Jaren Jackson Jr. limited due to foul trouble.

https://twitter.com/peteredmiston/status/1395927655149617152

Of course, the Grizzlies also have a star at point guard who steps up when the spotlight is on. Morant had more points midway through the third quarter on Friday (17) than he did in the entire game last weekend against the Warriors (16).

The reigning NBA Rookie of the Year set a career high with five three-pointers made

https://twitter.com/KerithBurke/status/1395927923178098688

The biggest weakness in Morant's game has been three-point shooting. He only made 30.3 percent of his attempts behind the arc during the regular season.

While you don't want to overreact to one game, if Morant is going to start consistently making threes, the sky is the limit for what he is capable of doing.

Despite all of these elements going right, the Grizzlies found themselves in a fight because their shooting cooled off late in the third quarter and into the fourth. They missed 12 consecutive field goals before a Dillon Brooks' layup with 10:03 remaining in the fourth.

That started a run of three consecutive scoring possessions, including a Valanciunas putback and Morant's fifth three.

There was another moment late in the fourth when the Grizzlies let the Warriors go on a 9-0 run that helped them tie the game and force overtime.

Grayson Allen and Xavier Tillman sparked the offense in the extra period with three combined three-pointers. Allen scored 12 points on 4-of-5 three-point shooting.

The Grizzlies bench outscored Golden State's reserves 40-27.

Three years after bottoming out with a 22-60 record, Memphis' front office went to work rebuilding the roster. Jackson and Morant were first-round picks in back-to-back seasons.

Valanciunas came over midway through the 2018-19 season as part of the Marc Gasol trade with the Toronto Raptors.

Allen was acquired from the Utah Jazz as part of the Mike Conley trade. Xavier Tillman was acquired in a draft-day trade with the Sacramento Kings in November.

All of these players form the core of this young, exciting Grizzlies team that is in the postseason for the first time in four years.

Curry's Late Surge Not Enough to Lift Warriors

The Grizzlies appeared to be doing everything right to contain Curry early in the game. He did have 17 points at halftime, but it was on 5-of-14 shooting overall.

When the Warriors made their run at the end of the first quarter, Curry looked like he was going to take over.

Instead, it would end up being another two quarters before Curry really made his presence felt again. He never quite hit the supernova level at his absolute best, but it wasn't far from that as the Warriors were trying to come back.

In the meantime, the Warriors were playing sloppy basketball and being outplayed in every facet of the game.

One of the biggest problems for the Warriors in both play-in games was turnovers. They committed 20 against the Lakers and 21 against the Grizzlies. Curry and Green were two of the biggest culprits in that area:

Green's scoring struggles continue to be a problem for the Warriors. He did make five of his 11 field-goal attempts, but there was never a point when it seemed like he was looking to attack the defense.

On the Warriors' final possession in regulation, Green took a pass from Curry with the paint wide open because the Grizzlies didn't seem concerned about him beating them. His floater came up short, sending the game to overtime.

Green did make a three in the overtime period, but the Grizzlies did an otherwise excellent job of keeping Curry out of the action. The two-time NBA MVP only took two shots and had a turnover in the final five minutes.

The story of Golden State's season rested on Curry's shoulders. Despite a solid stat line overall on Friday, he wasn't consistent enough in the game for the Warriors to win.

Even though this wasn't the ending the Warriors were hoping for, they have reasons to be optimistic about next season. They could have two first-round lottery picks if the Minnesota Timberwolves' selection isn't in the top three.

Klay Thompson will be back after missing the past two seasons with a torn Achilles and ACL.

Golden State could easily be a title contender in the Western Conference with a healthy Thompson and a deeper roster with at least one lottery pick to help solve the roster's depth problem.

What's Next?

The Grizzlies will play the Utah Jazz in Game 1 of the Western Conference playoffs on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Jonas Valanciunas' dominant 23-point, 23-rebound performance guided the Memphis Grizzlies to a 100-96 home win over the visiting San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday at FedEx Forum in the Western Conference play-in tournament.

Dillon Brooks scored a game-high 24 points, and Ja Morant posted 20 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Grizzlies, who led by as many as 21 points in the first quarter.

However, the Spurs went on a 17-0 second-quarter run to cut the Memphis lead to 41-39. The Grizzlies were able to maintain their lead until the fourth quarter, when the Spurs took an 80-79 edge after a DeMar DeRozan bucket.

Brooks took over from that point, though, scoring Memphis' next eight points. A Kyle Anderson three-pointer and a Valanciunas putback layup later gave Memphis 94-87 with 3:19 remaining.

The Spurs didn't go away quietly, though, with Rudy Gay drilling a three-pointer with 9.3 seconds left to close Memphis' advantage to 99-96.

Morant hit 1-of-2 free throws in response, and a desperation Gay three-pointer to slash the lead to one with time running out bounced off the rim.

DeRozan co-led the Spurs with 20 points but shot just 5-of-21 from the field. Gay had 20 of his own, nine of which came in the fourth quarter. Dejounte Murray added a 10-point, 13-rebound, 11-assist triple-double.

Notable Performances

Grizzlies C Jonas Valanciunas: 23 points, 23 rebounds, 3 blocks

Grizzles PG Ja Morant: 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists

Grizzlies G Dillon Brooks: 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals

Spurs F DeMar DeRozan: 20 points

Spurs G Dejounte Murray: 10 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists

Spurs F Rudy Gay: 20 points, 7 rebounds

Valanciunas Pilots Grizzlies in a Throwback Game

The Spurs and Grizzlies engaged in a rock fight on Wednesday.

San Antonio missed 63 field goals, with DeRozan and Murray combining to shoot 9-of-38. Meanwhile, all Memphis players outside the Morant-Valanciunas-Brooks trio scored just 33 points on 12-of-33 shooting.

The video of this game won't be conserved for its beautiful offensive basketball, but that suited Valanciunas just fine, who cleaned the glass and did the dirty work down low to give the Grizzlies the win.

The Morant-Valanciunas connection clicked early:

He later did some low-post work himself, backing down Poeltl before nailing a bucket:

The Lithuanian had 16 points and 15 rebounds at halftime, and his impact couldn't be understated, with Tim Kawakami of The Athletic providing this stat:

Valanciunas kept it going in the third quarter, ending that frame with 21 points and 20 rebounds.

In the fourth quarter, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft also had one of the game's biggest buckets, grabbing an offensive board and putting the layup back home to give Memphis a 94-87 edge.

Valanciunas ended up posting his fourth 20-20 game of the season, per StatMuse:

Morant complimented his teammate's stat line after the game:

And ESPN front office insider Bobby Marks gave credit where it was due:

In the end, it was natural for an ugly, defense-oriented game to be dominated by a big man in a throwback to 1990s basketball. Valanciunas answered the bell on Wednesday, and now Memphis is one win away from the playoffs.

Spurs' Offensive Woes Too Much To Overcome

The Grizzlies-Spurs game looked like it would be following the blueprint of the Charlotte Hornets at Indiana Pacers play-in game from the night before, when Indiana took a 40-24 lead after one quarter en route to winning 144-117.

Memphis took a 38-17 lead in the first quarter and looked like it would cruise to an easy win, but the Spurs fought back and gave the Grizzlies a serious scare, with this Keldon Johnson putback capping a 17-0 run:

San Antonio's bench was exceptional in particular, with the reserves outscoring Memphis' second unit 37-14.

In addition, as Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News noted, Murray didn't shoot well (4-of-17) but he deserves kudos for making an impact on this game otherwise thanks to his triple-double.

Poeltl also had five blocked shots, enabling the Spurs to hang around.

However, the Spurs' night simply boils down to the fact that teams aren't going to win many games shooting 35.1 percent from the field.

San Antonio shot just 27-of-75 from two-point range, too, and that isn't a recipe for success.

A few too many rotation members had off-nights. This wasn't DeRozan's best effort, as the mid-range king missed 10-of-11 first-half field goals. Lonnie Walker IV went just 2-of-8, and Patty Mills was relatively quiet, scoring just three points in the second half.

This game was there for the taking for the Spurs, whose excellent defensive effort held the Grizzlies to just 62 points in the final three quarters.

But San Antonio didn't make enough shots down the stretch to finish the comeback effort, leading to the Spurs missing out on the playoffs in consecutive seasons for just the first time in franchise history.

What's Next?

Memphis will visit the Golden State Warriors, who lost 103-100 to the Los Angeles Lakers in the other Western Conference play-in matchup Wednesday.

The Grizzlies' matchup against the Warriors will take place Friday at Chase Center in San Francisco. The winner of Friday's game will be the Western Conference's No. 8 seed and open the postseason against the No. 1 Utah Jazz beginning Sunday.

San Antonio's season is over.

Ja Morant Calls His Performance in Grizzlies' Loss to Warriors 'Very Unacceptable'

The Memphis Grizzlies will have to win two games during the Western Conference play-in tournament to advance to the traditional eight-team playoff bracket following Sunday's 113-101 loss to the Golden State Warriors, and Ja Morant was not pleased with his own performance in the pressure-packed contest.

"I have to be better as a player," he told reporters. "In a game like this, very unacceptable for me."

Morant finished with 16 points, nine assists and three rebounds, but he was just 7-of-21 from the field and 1-of-6 from three-point range.

Jonas Valanciunas (29 points and 16 rebounds) and Dillon Brooks (18 points and six assists) were solid for the Grizzlies, but they ultimately didn't have enough firepower to counter Stephen Curry on the other side.

The two-time MVP poured in 46 points to go with nine assists and seven rebounds. He drilled nine three-pointers and electrified the crowd with a late run to all but put the game away.

Fortunately for Morant, he may have another chance at Curry and the Warriors.

Memphis will face the San Antonio Spurs in the matchup between the Nos. 9 and 10 seeds, while Golden State will face either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Portland Trail Blazers in the showdown between the Nos. 7 and 8 seeds.

If the Grizzlies win against the Spurs, they will face the loser of the game involving the Warriors for the right to be the No. 8 seed.

While Morant said he was "unacceptable" during Sunday's game, such a rematch would be far more important and give him an opportunity to shine on a national stage.

NBA Rumors: Grizzlies 'Aren’t Yet Sold' on Jaren Jackson Jr.; Knicks Linked

Jaren Jackson Jr. is under contract to the Memphis Grizzlies for one more season, but the 21-year-old forward's long-term future may not be with the team that drafted him.

Per Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Grizzlies "aren't yet sold" on Jackson because of his injury history.

Berman noted the New York Knicks could be a potential fit because Jackson's father is an assistant coach with their G League affiliate, and general manager Scott Perry "loved" his athleticism leading up to the 2018 NBA draft.

Jackson has flashed his potential over the past three seasons since being drafted fourth overall in 2018, but he's missed a lot of time.

He had a solid rookie campaign, averaging 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks on 50.6 percent shooting (35.9 percent from three), but a thigh injury caused him to miss the final 23 games.

Jackson took a step forward in 2019-20 (17.4 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 1.6 BPG, 39.4 percent from three), but he missed 15 of the final 18 games after tearing the meniscus in his left knee.

The rehab period following surgery on his knee caused Jackson to miss the first 56 games this season. The Michigan State product returned to the lineup April 21, and he's looked rusty in nine games (two starts), shooting 42.6 percent from the field and 26.5 percent from three.

He is eligible to sign a long-term extension this offseason.

The fit between Jackson and the Knicks would be interesting. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has built a reputation for relying heavily on veterans to play significant minutes each night, and Jackson's long list of injuries would seem to make him a player who needs to be carefully managed.

Still, given his age and upside, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a team like the Knicks pursue him if he becomes available in a potential trade or as a restricted free agent in the summer of 2022.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is set to be the subject of a docuseries detailing his rookie season in the NBA.

The six-part series, titled Promiseland, debuts June 3 on the streaming service Crackle.  Morant told Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today he wanted fans to see a behind-the-scenes journey that also includes members of his family, AAU coach Bryan Brown and Murray State coach Matt McMahon.

"I felt some things that weren’t told. I have a lot of people here throughout the journey who are in the documentary,” Morant said.

Morant, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft, eclipsed Zion Williamson to win the Rookie of the Year award last season. Williamson spent most of his rookie campaign out with a knee injury, which allowed Morant to seize the spotlight. He averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 assists while nearly leading the Grizzlies to a playoff berth.

The docuseries will delve into Morant's thoughts as the NBA postponed its season amid the COVID-19 comeback and the eventual Orlando restart.

Grizzlies' Ja Morant Says He Thinks He's a Top-5 PG in NBA: 'Simple as That'

No one can question Ja Morant's confidence in himself as one of the best players in the NBA today.

The Memphis Grizzlies point guard told Shaquille O'Neal on NBA on TNT that he's a top-five point guard in the league.

"Simple as that," Morant added.

Point guard is a stacked position in the NBA right now. Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Trae Young, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul and Ben Simmons are among the players fighting with Morant for a spot at the top of the mountain.

Morant has been everything the Grizzlies could have hoped for since they selected him No. 2 overall in the 2019 NBA draft. He joined Pau Gasol as the only players in franchise history to be named Rookie of the Year.

The Grizzlies are currently the No. 9 seed in the Western Conference standings with a 32-32 record. Morant continues to lead the offense with 19.1 points and 7.3 assists per game.

At this point, the only major flaw in Morant's game is three-point shooting. He's making 29.8 percent of his attempts behind the arc this season.

If Morant can turn into an average three-point shooter, he could easily end up as the best point guard in the NBA in the next few years.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant apparently wasn't done saying his piece to NBA referee Tony Brothers.

Morant was ejected with 1:02 left in Monday's 118-104 loss to the New York Knicks.

The reigning Rookie of the Year subsequently addressed the ejection on Twitter:

Speaking with The Athletic's Peter Edmiston for the pool report, Brothers denied using any "threatening language" toward Morant. He also explained why he whistled Morant and Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins for technicals.

"They had been warned and he continued to complain, and I gave him an opportunity to stop and he wouldn't, so I called the first technical foul," Brothers said. "And then he continued to complain and walked toward me and so when he got close to me, I called a second technical foul and ejected him."

Publicly criticizing officiating often draws a fine from the league, so Morant might be hearing from the NBA soon. But his concerns are larger than that at the moment.

With Monday's defeat, the Grizzlies are back to .500 at 32-32, four games behind the sixth-place Dallas Mavericks with eight games remaining. The play-in tournament isn't a certainty just yet, but things are quickly approaching that point.

Take a bow, Luka Doncic.

Just when it seems like there's nothing else the Dallas Mavericks superstar can do to impress, he dazzles with another memorable play. On Wednesday, it was a stumbling, off-balance three at the buzzer to give his team a dramatic 114-113 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.

Dallas was down two on its final possession only because Grayson Allen missed two free throws on the other end that could have iced it.

Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis led the way for the victors, while solid showings from Allen, Ja Morant and Jonas Valanciunas were not enough for the Grizzlies.

Doncic Stuns the Grizzlies

This was a chance for Doncic to make a statement, and did he ever.

Not only has he been one of the hottest players in the league with 25 or more points in 13 of his last 15 games, but he figures to be the best player on the floor in any potential play-in tournament matchup between the Grizzlies and Mavericks.

Memphis had other ideas in the early going, though, and held the two-time All-Star to four points in the first half. Doncic helped make up for his lack of scoring with seven dimes as he looked to facilitate with so much additional defensive attention directed his way, but the Mavericks were still trailing at intermission.

Porzingis kept Dallas within striking distance while Doncic was relatively quiet, and Dwight Powell and Tim Hardaway Jr. provided a spark off the bench.

Still, the only way the Mavericks were going to steal a win on the road was if Luka woke up as a scorer, and he did just that with 14 points in the third quarter.

He then mixed in a step-back off one foot and a key triple in the fourth, while backcourt mate Jalen Brunson dished out six assists in the quarter to keep the team close. One of those assists came on a Dorian Finney-Smith three to tie the game with fewer than four minutes remaining, which is all the help Doncic needed to take over in crunch time.

The two-time All-Star assisted a Porzingis basket, drove to the rim for a layup, hit a free throw and drilled the dagger to turn a five-point deficit into a stunning win in the final 62 seconds.

Grizzlies' Collapse Spoils Balanced Effort

Memphis' path to victory in Wednesday's contest needed to start on the offensive side.

After all, Morant was the only Grizzlies player to score more than 12 points in his team's February loss to the Mavericks. The team as a whole shot just 39.4 percent from the field and 19.4 percent from three, which is almost never going to cut it at the NBA level.

Allen got the memo.

The Duke product caught fire from deep in the early going and poured in 17 points in the first half. He was the only Memphis player in double figures by intermission, although Morant sliced through the defense multiple times while getting into the lane and Dillon Brooks aggressively sought out his shot.

The Grizzlies extended their lead in the third as Morant flew out in transition for a dunk, Valanciunas completed a double-double by battling in the paint and Desmond Bane provided outside shooting off the bench, including a triple on a Morant assist in the last five seconds of the quarter.

It looked to be more of the same in the fourth with Bane facilitating, Allen hitting another three and Valanciunas continuing to pound the offensive glass. He finished with eight offensive rebounds and both kept possessions alive and scored himself.

The game looked all but over when Morant found Valanciunas with a beautiful assist and Kyle Anderson hit a three to push the lead to five, but the Grizzlies didn't score a single field goal in the final two minutes and saw their otherwise stellar effort slip away when Allen missed those free throws.

Taylor Jenkins' Son Alberto Arrested on Charge of Filing False Police Report

Alberto Jenkins, the oldest son of Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins, was arrested and charged with one felony count of filing a false offense report, according to Evan Barnes of the Commercial Appeal.

The 24-year-old allegedly lied to police by claiming he was kidnapped and his car was stolen during an armed robbery after leaving the restaurant he works at on March 21. An affidavit recorded Jenkins as saying the men robbed him of his car, cell phone and $750 in cash, but he was unable to identify where the men dropped him off when pressed by police.

According to court documents reviewed by Barnes, Jenkins told police he lied when confronted by officers over inconsistencies in his story.

The coach's son then admitted he was looking to purchase cocaine from a group of men but became "scared" and abandoned his car with the three men who were with him. The car was later recovered following an accident report.

Jenkins was booked Monday, posting bond and earning a release shortly after. He's scheduled to be arraigned June 15.

Taylor Jenkins is in his second full season as the Grizzlies' head coach after serving as an assistant for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2018-19. The Texas native is 56-61 in 117 games with Memphis.

The team did not respond to a comment request by the Commercial Appeal.

No team has had more games postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic than the Memphis Grizzlies, who had six games moved in January, including a stretch of five straight.

This will make life more difficult for the team down the stretch, as Evan Barnes of the Commercial Appeal wrote. The second half of the season is scheduled for March 10 through May 16, and Memphis will have 41 games during that 67-day span.

It's already been a very difficult year for the Grizzlies.

Jonas Valanciunas, Grayson Allen and De'Anthony Melton were each forced to miss time the league's protocols.

Memphis has also been hit with injuries, with point guard Ja Morant notably missing eight games with a left ankle sprain.

Jaren Jackson Jr. has not played at all after suffering a torn meniscus in his left knee in August, and Melton has missed additional time with a left shoulder sprain.

Somehow, the Grizzlies have stayed afloat despite the trials and tribulations of the 2020-21 season, posting a 13-14 mark thus far. They'll be in a fight for the playoffs, but a spot, at minimum, in the play-in tournament is feasible despite the obstacles this team has faced.

Here's a look at the Grizzlies' second-half schedule alongside a prediction on the rest of their season.

2020-21 Memphis Schedule Details

Second-Half Opener: vs. vs. Washington Wizards, Wednesday, March 10, 8 p.m. ET

Championship Odds (FanDuel): 240-1

Second-Half Schedule: NBA.com

Top Matchups

Golden State Warriors (March 19 and 20, May 16)

New Orleans Pelicans (May 10)

A point guard matchup between a budding superstar in Morant and an established one in Golden State Warriors floor general Stephen Curry is always appointment viewing.

The same goes for any game featuring Morant, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft, and New Orleans Pelicans big man Zion Williamson, who went first overall that year.

However, matchups featuring the Grizzlies against the Pels or Dubs in the second half have added meaning. All three teams are mired in the middle of the Western Conference.

Ideally, they'd like to finish in the top six and avoid having to qualify for the playoffs via the play-in tournament, which will feature the seventh-10th place teams in each conference. Alternatively, Memphis could also be fighting just to get in the top 10. In addition, a Memphis vs. Golden State or Memphis vs. New Orleans game could be a play-in preview.

Ultimately, these matchups should be entertaining and important for the Western Conference's playoff picture.

Season Forecast

The Grizzlies have stayed afloat despite fielding a decimated team for much of the first half of the season. Now everyone is getting healthy, and Jackson could return sometime in the second half of the year, as Chris Herrington of the Daily Memphian posited.

Memphis doesn't have tremendous star power like other teams, but it does have excellent depth. Nine players average eight or more points per game, and rookies such as Desmond Bane and Xavier Tillman are making positive contributions.

That depth could help get Memphis through this rough second-half stretch that's packed with games. Back-to-backs will be frequent, meaning the Grizzlies may need to use more bodies to avoid over-exerting anyone down the stretch.

In that sense, the first half of the year may have helped in an odd way, as players received some much-needed experience for their own personal growth and development. That could come in handy down the stretch if and when their numbers are called upon.

The Grizz are too talented to avoid making the top 10 at minimum. Avoiding the play-in tournament is perhaps too lofty a goal but expect Memphis to safely land in the seven-eight game after posting a winning record.

Final Record Prediction: 37-35 (No. 8 seed in Western Conference)
