All Elite Wrestling returns with a stacked card at Fyter Fest that includes four championship matches. Unlike last year, the event is split between two Wednesdays starting July 1 and concluding July 8.

Three of the four title bouts take place during Night 1 of Fyter Fest, including the tag team, TNT and women's world championships. Expectations are high for a show that takes up two weeks, so let's see if the first portion can live up to the hype.

Here's the breakdown of every announced match at Fyter Fest's first week. You can watch on TNT at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday.

Kenny Omega and Adam Page vs. Best Friends 

Reigning tag team champions Kenny Omega and Adam Page have successfully defended their world tag team title five times since winning it in January 2019, defeating the likes of SCU, The Lucha Brothers and The Young Bucks. After ending The Elite's feud with the Inner Circle at Double or Nothing in May, they've been caught in between the Young Bucks and FTR's impending rivalry on a couple of occasions.

Meanwhile, Best Friends have won eight straight matches. They earned the right to be No. 1 contenders when they defeated Private Party at Double or Nothing and defended their title opportunity against Le Sex Gods three weeks ago. 

Will Omega and Page continue their dominant reign or will we get new tag team champions for the first time since January?

Prediction: Omega and Page defeat Best Friends

It seems like Omega and Page will remain involved in a feud with FTR and the Young Bucks. There's more to be done with them as champions, and Best Friends won't be hurt by a loss here.

Cody vs. Jake Hager

Since becoming the inaugural TNT champion at Double or Nothing, Cody decided he would be a fighting champion by putting the title on the line in an open challenge nearly every week on Dynamite. He's successfully defended the belt three times against Jungle Boy, Marq Quen and a debuting Ricky Starks, respectively.

Fyter Fest will be the first time since March that Jake Hager will compete in singles competition after having his hands full working with the Inner Circle recently. Despite his absence in the division, he continued to keep tabs on Cody by watching his title defenses and even attacking him and Arn Anderson at one point. Things escalated during their press conference when Hager's wife threw water at Cody.

Prediction: Cody defeats Hager

Cody is in prime position to be the TNT champion for a long time. Having him drop the title to someone who has barely competed in singles matches recently wouldn't make a ton of sense. Hager needs a couple of more non-title rivalries to build him up before he's seen as a legitimate threat for a championship.

Hikaru Shida vs. Penelope Ford

After defeating Nyla Rose at Double or Nothing to become the women's champion, Hikaru Shida is now on a 12-match winning streak in singles competition dating back to January. Despite facing Penelope Ford in two four-way matches and one tag team match before, they've never faced each other in a one-on-one singles bout.

Ford earned her title shot by pinning Shida in a tag team match three weeks ago. On the latest episode of Dynamite, the champion attacked Ford and even her fiance, Kip Sabian, before the two women were eventually pulled apart. 

Prediction: Shida defeats Ford

The latter is going to be a staple of the women's division for a long time coming, but she hasn't yet established herself as enough of a contender to warrant stripping the title off a red-hot Shida.

MJF and Wardlow vs. Jurassic Express

The rivalry between these two teams goes back to Double or Nothing, when MJF defeated Jungle Boy. Both young talents continued to confront each other over the following weeks, but Jungle Boy got the upper hand when he eliminated MJF and Wardlow in a Battle Royal for a shot at the TNT Championship.

Wardlow turned his attention to Luchasaurus last week when they competed in a lumberjack match in which Jungle Boy and MJF got involved. After Wardlow won, a tag team match between the two teams was announced for Fyter Fest.

Prediction: Jurassic Express defeat MJF and Wardlow

The Salt of the Earth and Mr. Mayhem are establishing themselves as a dominant force with a good mix of in-ring savvy and brute strength. However, a loss as a first-time tag team doesn't really hurt them as much as it would benefit Jurassic Express.

MJF would still keep his undefeated singles record, Wardlow would still be perceived as a threat, and the Jurassic Express build their resume with a statement win.

Private Party vs. Santana and Ortiz

Matt Hardy defeated Santana last week but was attacked by Ortiz post-match. The three have an extensive history as Hardy helped The Elite fend off the Inner Circle during the Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing.

Private Party came to the aid of Hardy, so The Woken will be ringside in their corner at Fyter Fest.

Prediction: Santana and Ortiz defeat Private Party

This is a toss-up as both teams would strongly benefit from a win over another established tag team, but Santana and Ortiz get the edge because there's still probably more to the storyline between Hardy and the Inner Circle members. Private Party doing Hardy's job and defeating the tag team that battled with him over the past few months doesn't seem to be the course this rivalry goes down. 

Hikaru Shida defeated Nyla Rose at Double or Nothing on Saturday night to win the AEW Women's Championship, making her the third different performer to hold the title in its history.

Shida and Rose put each other through the wringer over the course of the match.

Shida landed the decisive blow when she hit Rose in the head with a kendo stick. That put down the champion, and the challenger hit a running knee for the victory.

Shida established herself as the No. 1 contender entering Double or Nothing not only because of her overall record of success over the past few months but also because of her victory in a Fatal 4-Way match on a recent episode of Dynamite.

In a match that featured four of the best female performers AEW has to offer, Shida beat out Britt Baker, Kris Statlander and Penelope Ford to earn a title shot.

While Shida has been a constant presence on Dynamite during the coronavirus pandemic, it wasn't until recently that Rose returned to AEW programming.

Back on the Feb. 12 episode of Dynamite, Rose beat Riho for the AEW Women's title, making The Native Beast the second Women's champion in AEW history. Nyla then retained the title over Statlander at AEW Revolution on Feb. 29.

After coming out on the winning end in a tag team match alongside Bea Priestley over Shida and Statlander on the March 11 Dynamite, Rose didn't appear on TV for nearly two months. She finally returned a couple of weeks ago and beat Kenzie Paige in a squash.

Shida and Rose have gone at it in tag team bouts on a couple of occasions in AEW, but Saturday's clash at Double or Nothing was their first-ever singles match, which made it one of the most highly anticipated contests on the card.

It can be argued that AEW hasn't done as much with its women's division as the men's singles and tag team divisions, but there is no doubt that the talent is present, and Shida and Rose could be the two best female wrestlers AEW has to offer.

Both have been booked fairly well over the past several months and built into big-time threats to the point that it was difficult to predict who would prevail at Double or Nothing.

Although Shida won the title, Rose's spectacular record could earn her a rematch in the near future; however, the likes of Baker and Statlander could stake claim to a title match as well.

This week's edition of the Wednesday Night War saw AEW Dynamite continue its winning streak in the viewership battle against WWE NXT.

Dynamite averaged 654,000 viewers during its two-hour broadcast on TNT, while NXT on USA Network finished with an average of 604,000, per Mitch Metcalf of Showbuzz Daily.

All Elite Wrestling continued the build toward Double or Nothing on May 23 with a brawl between Cody and Lance Archer to start the show. It was also announced that former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson will present the TNT Championship at the conclusion of their match at an undisclosed location.

Dynamite ended with Brodie Lee defeating Christopher Daniels in a singles match and then escaping with the AEW World Championship in tow after stealing it from Jon Moxley last week. Moxley cut a promo to close the show and made it clear that he intended to make Lee pay.

Hikaru Shida won a Fatal 4-Way match that also included Britt Baker, Kris Statlander and Penelope Ford, meaning she will face Nyla Rose for the AEW Women's Championship at Double or Nothing.

Also, after Chris Jericho beat Pineapple Pete in quick fashion, he challenged Matt Hardy and The Elite to a Stadium Stampede match against The Inner Circle at Double or Nothing that The Elite accepted.

Other key moments included Best Friends beating Jurassic Express because of interference from MJF, who later won a squash match, plus Hardy and Kenny Omega defeating Santana and Ortiz.

NXT opened with a shocking title change, as Timothy Thatcher walked out on Matt Riddle, resulting in Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner of Imperium winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. Riddle got his wish of a match against Thatcher later in the night and came out on the winning end, but Thatcher brutally attacked him to end the show.

Another big moment saw Cameron Grimes pull off a shocking upset over Finn Balor after Damian Priest interfered by taking out Balor's leg. Priest attacked Balor some more after the match and revealed that he was Balor's mystery attacker from a few weeks ago.

WWE Hall of Famers Triple H and Shawn Michaels appeared on NXT to make a huge announcement in the form of NXT TakeOver: In Your House, which will air June 7 on WWE Network.

The tournament to crown an interim cruiserweight champion continued, with Jake Atlas staying alive thanks to a win over Tony Nese and then Jack Gallagher eliminating Isaiah "Swerve" Scott from contention due in part to interference from Nese.

Next week, Hardy will have his first AEW singles match when he faces Sammy Guevara, while NXT will feature a huge women's match between Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai.
