Roman Reigns is no stranger to divisive reactions from WWE fans, so he knows what it's like to be in Seth Rollins' shoes as The Architect experiences an increasingly negative reception during events.

During an appearance on WWE's After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves (h/t Wrestling Inc's Ross Kelly), Reigns said he and Rollins haven't crossed paths too much since they're on separate shows but that they remain in contact. He suggested that "it's just a matter of riding it out":

"This is a situation where sometimes it's, 'What have you done for me lately?' You just have to go out the next night and kill it and continue to kill it. That's all that matters—just bust your ass and work hard. The cream always rises to the top and that's something Cena told me a long time ago. Don't go out there and stink it up. Have a good match and at the end of the day our fans are passionate but they have respect for what we do...

"Seth is a pro wrestling guy and he's never going to go anywhere. He's always had the dream of WWE and a little bit of a roller coaster isn't gonna scare him away."

One could argue Rollins' in-ring work isn't the issue at the moment with his biggest critics, who have instead taken issue with things he has said away from the ring.

Upon letting his WWE contract expire and signing with All Elite Wrestling, Jon Moxley opened up about the frustration that led him to leaving the company. Rollins took umbrage with Moxley's interview and said his onetime colleague "took his ball and he went home."

Some thought that comment was an unnecessary dig at Moxley, who had fulfilled his commitments to WWE before moving on.

Rollins also got into a brief Twitter feud with New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Will Ospreay. He subsequently apologized for dismissing Ospreay's credentials:

The universal champion also didn't endear himself when he called AEW "the minor leagues" during an event with fans in October.

Rollins is largely blameless, though, for the poorly received main event of Hell in a Cell, which had fans at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, chanting for refunds. He was largely collateral damage as the WWE Universe was hopeful of seeing "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt win.

Reigns is correct in that WWE fans are often fickle and can change their opinions of wrestlers on a whim. But the general tide toward Rollins is unlikely to cease anytime soon.

AEW presented its first pay-per-view of the Dynamite era Saturday night from the historic Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore and left fans buzzing about the events that unfolded over the course of the 3 ½ -hour extravaganza...

Jon Moxley Beats Kenny Omega in Non-Sanctioned Match at AEW Full Gear 2019

Nov 9, 2019

The long-awaited clash between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega finally came to pass Saturday night at AEW Full Gear, with Moxley beating Omega in a non-sanctioned match.

The two engaged in a brutal fight that featured mouse traps, shattered glass, barbed wire and the wood of an exposed ring after Moxley took it apart:

Moxley pinned Omega following a Paradigm Shift DDT onto the wood.

The pair had never faced each other in an official match prior to Full Gear, but the groundwork for their heated rivalry was laid at Double or Nothing in May when Moxley made his shocking debut for the company.

After Chris Jericho beat Omega in the main event of Double or Nothing, Moxley made his way through the crowd and entered the ring. He laid out both Jericho and the referee, but he paid special attention to Omega.

The two men brawled through the arena, but Moxley got the better of the former IWGP world heavyweight champion by hitting him with a DDT on a giant stack of poker chips next to the entrance stage.

Following that altercation, Moxley vs. Omega was announced as one of the top matches on the All Out card, but when Moxley was sidelined by an elbow infection, the match was postponed, and Omega faced Pac at All Out instead.

In video promos prior to All Out, Moxley explained why he targeted Omega. He called his opponent a "myth" and suggested Omega looked down on him and his style of wrestling.

Moxley also referenced his time in WWE as Dean Ambrose and how he was stuck doing comedic segments while Omega was given the opportunity to put on five-star matches with NJPW.

While there was no immediate payoff, all of the heat carried over to AEW Dynamite, and the rivalry between Moxley and Omega has been a primary focus on the show for the past several weeks.

In addition to cutting promos on each other, Moxley and Omega got physical. Moxley DDT'ed Omega through a glass table a few weeks ago, and on the go-home edition of Dynamite before Full Gear, they had a standoff with Moxley holding a bat wrapped in barbed wire and Omega countering with a broom wrapped in barbed wire.

Making the match unsanctioned was controversial since it didn't count toward either competitor's record, but the win was huge for Moxley's momentum regardless. It also represented another blow to Omega, who has gotten off to a slow start since the debut of AEW.

AEW Releases 1st Weekly Rankings Headlined by Cody, Emi Sakura, Lucha Bros.

Ahead of Saturday's Full Gear pay-per-view, All Elite Wrestling released its first weekly rankings of the men's singles, women's singles and tag team divisions Friday.

AEW omitted AEW World champion Chris Jericho, AEW Women's champion Riho and AEW Tag Team champions SCU from the rankings, which essentially makes them lists of the top contenders for each title:

Not surprisingly, Cody is No. 1 in men's singles, Emi Sakura is No. 1 in women's singles and The Lucha Bros. and Private Party are the top two in the tag team ranks. All of those wrestlers will compete in championship matches at Full Gear.

Even if none of the aforementioned wrestlers win a title Friday, the rankings could be in for a significant shakeup based on some of the other matches on the card.

In men's singles, No. 2 PAC will face No. 3 "Hangman" Adam Page in a match that may determine the next No. 1 contender for the AEW World Championship. Also, No. 4 Kenny Omega will face No. 5 Jon Moxley, although the match is unsanctioned, which means it won't count against their records.

On the women's side, No. 2 Britt Baker will be in action against Bea Priestley. A win could earn Baker another title shot against Riho or Sakura, or a Priestley win could help vault her into the top five.

The Young Bucks are No. 3 in the tag team rankings, and they will face the unranked Santana and Ortiz. The winner of that match may soon challenge the winner of SCU vs. Lucha Bros. vs. Private Party.

In many ways, the AEW rankings are similar to the rankings that have been released in the back of the Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine for many years, and it helps provide some clarity regarding who is in the hunt for a title shot and who the company considers to be its top stars.
