Lamar Jackson Rips Fan Saying Ravens Shouldn't Give Him New Contract in NSFW Tweet

Lamar Jackson was surely upset with Sunday's shocking 28-27 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and took out some of his frustration on a fan via a tweet.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback responded to a message saying games shouldn't come down to kicker Justin Tucker if Jackson is going to ask for more than $250 million guaranteed in his next deal.

Jackson tweeted the following: "Boy STFU y'all be cappin too much on this app mf never smelt a football field never did s--t but eat d--k!!"

Baltimore built a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter against the Jaguars, but Jacksonville ended up completing a comeback with two late touchdown passes from Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence found Zay Jones for a two-point conversion after the last one to take the lead, and Tucker's 67-yard field goal fell just short as time expired.

Jackson's contract status has been a hovering topic for the Ravens this season, and ESPN's Adam Schefter reported in September the two-time Pro Bowler declined a deal worth approximately $250 million because it didn't match the $230 million in guarantees the Cleveland Browns gave Deshaun Watson.

The Ravens quarterback has a resume that includes an MVP and is just 25 years old, but this will remain a talking point until he and the team agree to a deal.

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase Reportedly Out vs. Titans amid Hip Injury Recovery

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will miss Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, according to theScore's Jordan Schultz.

The 22-year-old has not played since Cincinnati's Week 7 win against the Atlanta Falcons because of a hip injury. The last time he was on the field, he registered another dominant performance with eight catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow told reporters Wednesday he expected Chase to be ready to go for the Week 12 matchup against the Titans.

Prior to being injured, the LSU product was settling into a groove following a slow start. He recorded back-to-back 100-yard games after going four consecutive outings without reaching the century mark.

Through his seven appearances this season, he has 47 catches for 605 yards and six touchdowns.

Chase is one of the most dynamic receivers in the league. However, the Bengals have found a way to overcome his absence, going 2-1 while he's been sidelined. In its last two victories, Cincinnati has averaged 39.5 points per game.

Without the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in the lineup, Burrow has relied on Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd as his primary targets. Higgins leads the team with 712 receiving yards.

Getting Chase back to full health is imperative for the Bengals if they hope to make another deep playoff run this season in the competitive AFC.

Samaje Perine's Updated Bengals Fantasy Outlook After 3-TD Game, Joe Mixon Injury

Joe Mixon left Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a concussion, leaving the door open for Samaje Perine to ascend to the top of the depth chart.

Mixon has missed time in four of his five NFL seasons, including 10 games in 2020. Perine will be an interesting pickup if Mixon isn't cleared from the concussion protocol in time for Week 12's matchup with the Tennessee Titans.

Perine has a legitimate RB2 ceiling if he's forced into the starting role. He torched the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, with nine carries for 27 yards and four catches for 52 yards and three scores at the time of publication.

It's unlikely he'll make that sort of impact in the passing game again—he came into the contest with three receiving touchdowns over the course of his entire five-year career. And the Bengals may turn to a heavier passing attack without Mixon available.

But Perine will still be the starter, and he's proved he can make an impact as a receiver out of the backfield. Monitor Mixon carefully this week—if he's trending toward being out, Perine is a must-add option on waivers and would be a solid flex option if he's forced into starting duty.

Keep him high on your list of priorities this week.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase could return to the team ahead of its Week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport reported Chase is off crutches and "actually has a chance to play" next week.

In his second NFL season, the 22-year-old has missed two games already due to a hip injury, and Sunday's clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers will be his third straight absence. He was initially injured in a Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints and attempted to play through the ailment but aggravated it a week later.

The Bengals never placed the LSU product on injured reserve, which would have kept him out a minimum of four games.

Chase is one of the most dynamic receivers in football, compiling 47 receptions for 605 yards and six touchdowns in seven games played this season. Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd have been given a more extended role in his absence.

Mike Tomlin Jokes That Steelers Won't Use Mitchell Trubisky Like Saints' Taysom Hill

Don't expect Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to start running routes as a tight end any time soon.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was asked about the backup signal-caller's athleticism Tuesday, and he joked it isn't a situation similar to the New Orleans Saints' Taysom Hill, who's used as a multifaceted playmaker:

Trubisky signed with the Steelers during free agency in March to take over as their starting quarterback following the retirement of Ben Roethlisberger. He spent last season as a backup to Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills.

The Ohio native completed 60.9 percent of his throws for 797 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in five games to open the 2022 season. He was then replaced by rookie Kenny Pickett atop the depth chart.

He previously struggled to establish himself as a true franchise QB after the Chicago Bears selected him with the second overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. He recorded 64 touchdowns and 37 interceptions in 51 appearances during his four-year stay in the Windy City.

Trubisky is under contract through next season as part of a two-year, $14.3 million contract, but Pittsburgh can release him with a $2.6 million dead-cap hit in 2023 if the front office doesn't want to keep him as a reserve option.

For now, the offense is moving forward with Pickett as the starter, and that will likely remain the case for the remainder of the year with the team's playoff chances already fading away because of a 3-6 record.

Next up for the Steelers is a home game against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals (5-4) on Sunday.

Trubisky enjoyed some promising moments during his Chicago tenure, including several during a 2018 season in which he earned a Pro Bowl selection.

However, he's likely running out of chances to prove himself as a starting quarterback.

NFL Rumors: Ja'Marr Chase Targeting Return from Hip Injury for Bengals vs. Titans

The Cincinnati Bengals are reportedly "hopeful" wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will be able to return from a hip injury for a Week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium on Nov. 27.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Wednesday sources have "circled that game as a potential relaunch" for Chase, who last played in Week 7. Fowler noted there's "no definitive plan" despite the baseline optimism, though.

Cincinnati faces the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road Sunday as it returns from a Week 10 bye.

The 22-year-old wide receiver is in his second NFL season. Through seven games, he has amassed 47 receptions for 605 yards and six touchdowns. That follows a rookie year in which he snagged 81 passes for 1,455 yards and 13 scores.

The Bengals won the AFC North in 2021 en route to the conference title, and the former LSU star appeared to be ready to help lead them on another playoff run after Cincinnati won four of his last five games.

Unfortunately, though, Chase suffered a hairline hip fracture and torn labrum that forced him off the field, per Jordan Schultz of theScore.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the hip injury occurred on Oct. 16 against the New Orleans Saints and was reaggravated on Oct. 23 against the Atlanta Falcons. He also reported that the 2021 Pro Bowler was expected to miss four-to-six weeks.

Despite the recovery timeline, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor revealed that Chase would not go on injured reserve, which would've kept him out for at least four games.

"The overall prognosis of how it could play out factors into that," he said.

Without Chase, the Bengals rely more on Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd. Mike Thomas has also seen an increase in snaps.

Steelers RBs Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren's Fantasy Trade Advice for Dynasty Leagues

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris has not lived up to expectations in his second NFL season, leaving fantasy football managers with questions about how to handle him ahead of their league trade deadlines.

Harris is coming off his best game of the year, setting season highs with 20 rushing attempts and 99 yards. It could provide hope of a second-half turnaround after he was limited by a foot injury for most of the campaign.

On the other hand, Week 10 was not a great sign from a fantasy perspective.

Backup Jaylen Warren continued to see a bigger role, tallying a season-high nine rushing attempts while playing 43 percent of snaps, keeping Harris at 60 percent. A 60-40 split going forward would be especially bad for Harris, who played 83.6 percent of the offensive snaps last season as the only true option in the backfield.

Add in Harris' recent "knee discomfort," per ESPN's Brooke Pryor, and it's difficult to imagine he will return to being a three-down back.

Perhaps most importantly, Warren caught three passes, while Harris was held without a catch for the second time this season.

When Harris was a top-five running back in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues last season, he had 74 catches on 94 targets for 467 yards. This season, the former Alabama star is on pace for 45 catches on 55 targets for 212 yards.

Without the elite passing work, Harris is not an RB1 or likely even an RB2.

It makes the 2021 first-round pick someone to sell immediately in fantasy leagues. The quality rushing game in Week 10 might be enough to intrigue some managers, providing an opportunity to land another RB2 or WR2. Terry McLaurin, DeVonta Smith or Miles Sanders could be quality targets.

Warren, meanwhile, is someone who should be added in all leagues in case his role continues to increase or Harris is forced to miss time because of an injury. His 5.0 yards per carry this season, even behind an inconsistent offensive line, provides the hope of him starring in a standalone role.

Of course, fantasy managers shouldn't go overboard in trades for Warren, either in redraft or dynasty leagues. Harris remains the starter, and the Steelers are unlikely to change that if he is healthy enough to play.

Warren could be comparable to AJ Dillon or Alexander Mattison going forward, someone who will be difficult to put in fantasy lineups unless there is an injury. Kareem Hunt represents a best-case scenario, but even that is limited upside in most leagues.

Lamar Jackson's Growth Discussed by Ravens QB Coach amid Contract Extension Rumors

As Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson continues to attempt to position himself for a massive contract extension, his quarterbacks coach is impressed by his continued growth.

According to Kevin Oestreicher of Ravens Wire, Ravens quarterbacks coach James Urban said the following about the improvement he has seen out of Jackson:

"I continue to see [Jackson] grow with things that might not jump out to the naked eye. But as his coach, I love the fact that he's carrying out fakes when we run the ball. He's such a threat as a runner that when he continues to carry out his fakes and take great pride in that, all eyes on him, and we can hold two or three guys on the back end—even if just for a step. Those types of things are where I really see him growing."

Jackson has proved the doubters wrong by not only emerging as one of the NFL's most dynamic playmakers since the Ravens selected him in the first round of the 2018 draft, but also by developing into an efficient pocket passer across his five pro seasons, including the last three as the team's full-time starter.

The 25-year-old from Florida has completed 63.8 percent of his throws for 11,735 yards with 100 touchdowns and 37 interceptions in 67 regular-season appearances. He's also tallied 4,308 rushing yards and 23 scores on the ground.

In nine games this season, Jackson has gone 6-3 while completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 1,768 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has also rushed for 635 yards and two touchdowns.

Jackson was named the league's Most Valuable Player in 2019 when he recorded 43 total touchdowns (36 passing and seven rushing) after taking over the offense from Joe Flacco. He also earned a Pro Bowl selection and was voted first-team All-Pro that season.

Playoff performance is the one area where the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner will be expected to improve moving forward.

Jackson and the Ravens have posted a 1-3 record in his four postseason starts. He's connected on 55.9 percent of his pass attempts, a sharp decline from his regular-season efficiency, with three touchdowns and five interceptions. He's also been sacked 19 times.

Baltimore didn't qualify for the playoffs in 2021 after posting an 8-9 record.

It's not uncommon for the league's top quarterbacks to struggle early in their playoff careers, though. For example, Peyton Manning lost his first three playoff games and only threw one touchdown in those contests. He still finished his career with two Super Bowl titles and a place in the GOAT conversation.

Jackson's tenure is off to a strong start, and he's firmly entrenched himself as the Ravens' franchise quarterback, but his future will remain somewhat uncertain until a long-term deal is reached.

At worst, the Ravens are likely to place the franchise tag on him during the offseason, but if he continues to improve and play at the high level he has so far this season, a long-term contract could be in the cards this coming offseason.

For now, Jackson is taking it one game at a time, and his next chance to shine will come Sunday when Baltimore hosts the Carolina Panthers.

Ravens Stars Lamar Jackson, Mark Andrews' Fantasy Trade Advice Entering Deadline

If your fantasy league has its trade deadline this week, you are probably looking for avenues to upgrade the roster. Let's take a closer look at how you should be valuing the Baltimore Ravens' star duo of Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews.

Jackson has had a very up-and-down season. After starting off the year red hot, with three straight weeks of 20 or more fantasy points and two games hitting 39 or more fantasy points in standard leagues, he's registered just one game with 20 points.

Put another way—Jackson is averaging 21.8 fantasy points per week, but over his last six games that number drops to just 15.6 points per contest. Coming into Baltimore's Week 10 bye, Jackson was the No. 5 quarterback in fantasy, but his 15.6 points per week over the last six games would rank 15th overall.

If you are looking to buy on Jackson, you are focusing on his recent struggles, hoping to get him at a time when his value is dropping and banking on a late-season resurgence as the Ravens fight for a division title and playoff berth.

If you are selling on Jackson, you are pointing out his overall ranking this season, his MVP pedigree and his unique rushing ability that tends to stabilize his value. In other words, buy on him at QB2 prices, sell on him at a QB1 value.

Andrews is far more straightforward.

Coming into Week 10, only Travis Kelce had more overall fantasy points and more points per week among tight ends than Andrews. He's had a few stinkers and missed Week 9 with various injuries, but he's also had five weeks of double-digit scoring and four weeks hitting 20 points.

Only Kelce can top Andrews' overall upside on a weekly basis, even if players like Zach Ertz or Dallas Goedert offer a touch more consistency. But if you are trying to land him in a trade, expect to pay a premium, and if you are selling, demand a king's ransom.

He's fantasy's second-most valuable tight end, and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone willing to debate that point.
