Odell Beckham Jr. has officially said his goodbyes to the Cleveland Browns, penning a letter to the entire organization, thanking them for their support over the last three years.

Beckham also gave a special shoutout to Jarvis Landry in his letter, whom he played college football with at LSU.

The Browns waived Beckham earlier this week, and he signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams.

Beckham joined the Browns in a 2019 trade from the New York Giants. He only appeared in 29 games for the franchise over three seasons because of injuries, catching 114 passes for 1,586 yards and seven touchdowns.

Cleveland released the 29-year-old earlier this week after his father, Odell Beckham Sr., posted a video on Instagram showing times when quarterback Baker Mayfield didn't throw the ball to his son or missed him entirely.

Things between Mayfield and Beckham never truly clicked, and, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter, Beckham stressed out the signal-caller, which led to chemistry issues between the two.

Beckham addressed his decision to sign with the Rams after hitting the field with the team for the first time on Friday, saying heading to L.A. "felt right in my heart and in my soul." He added that linebacker Von Miller and cornerback Jalen Ramsey recruited him to the franchise.

In addition to the Rams, the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks were reportedly among the teams vying for Beckham's services.

The three-time Pro Bowler is reportedly set to make his Rams' debut Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, which doesn't come as a surprise given the news that Robert Woods is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Beckham initially wasn't expected to have a major impact in L.A.'s offense, but with Woods sidelined, he could become one of Matthew Stafford's top targets alongside Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson.

The Rams, who enter Monday night's game against the 49ers with a 7-2 record, still have the third-best Super Bowl odds despite the addition of Beckham, per DraftKings.

Odell Beckham Jr. Says Joining Rams 'Felt Right in My Heart and in My Soul'

Odell Beckham Jr. hit the field as a member of the Los Angeles Rams for the first time on Friday before speaking to reporters about his decision to sign with the franchise after being waived by the Cleveland Browns.

The star wide receiver told reporters that he decided to join the Rams because it just felt right to him.

"I took a lot of time in the decision-making, and it wasn't to build anticipation or nothing," Beckham said. "This is my life and I feel like I've been through a lot. I'm at a point in my life where I'm ready to play football. I've dedicated, I've sacrificed a lot to be here. It just happened that this felt right in my heart and in my soul."

Rams linebacker Von Miller and cornerback Jalen Ramsey called Beckham when he became a free agent and convinced him to join them in L.A.

Beckham added: "This is a tremendous team. Have a great opportunity to do some great things, and I just want to be a part of it."

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the 29-year-old will get his first chance to make an impression with his new team on Monday, as he is reportedly suiting up against the San Francisco 49ers in primetime.

Beckham wasn't initially projected to have a major impact in McVay's offense, but Robert Woods has since been ruled out with a torn ACL, leaving quarterback Matthew Stafford with Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson and Beckham as his top receivers.

The LSU product had just 17 catches for 232 yards and no touchdowns in six games with the Browns this season. He hit waivers after his father, Odell Beckham Sr., posted a video on Instagram highlighting times when Browns QB Baker Mayfield didn't throw the ball to his son or missed him when he was open.

Beckham reportedly never reached out to Mayfield to address the issue, which accelerated his breakup with Cleveland.

The Rams are second in the NFC West with a 7-2 record. However, the team's acquisition of Beckham did nothing to help its Super Bowl odds as they are still behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills in betting, according to DraftKings.

Odell Beckham Jr.'s Fantasy Outlook Ahead of Rams Debut After Robert Woods' Injury

After struggling this season while with the Cleveland Browns, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is suddenly valuable in fantasy football after signing with the Los Angeles Rams.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed Saturday that Beckham will make his Rams debut Monday against the San Francisco 49ers despite having signed with the team Thursday.

Schefter and ESPN colleague Dianna Russini also reported that Rams wideout Robert Woods suffered a torn ACL during practice Friday.

With Woods seemingly done for the season, Beckham will battle Van Jefferson for targets behind clear No. 1 receiver Cooper Kupp.

Given that he is now part of a high-octane offense with MVP candidate Matthew Stafford at quarterback, Beckham should at least deliver flex value and perhaps even perform at a WR2 level for the remainder of the season.

There is no question that Kupp is Stafford's favorite target, as he leads the team and the NFL with 74 receptions for 1,019 yards and 10 touchdowns.

That won't change with the arrival of Beckham, but the loss of Woods leaves the Rams with a massive hole to be filled in the offense as well. Woods is second on the team in every major receiving category, including targets (69), receptions (45), receiving yardage (556) and receiving touchdowns (four).

Jefferson has also had a significant role in the offense, making 27 catches for 433 yards and three touchdowns while also playing at least 84 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the past three weeks.

Since Jefferson is the Rams' primary deep threat, his role doesn't figure to change much. That means head coach Sean McVay needs a like-for-like replacement for Woods, and OBJ is capable of filling that role.

Beckham's greatest success came in his first three NFL seasons as a member of the New York Giants. He was a three-time Pro Bowler, the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and averaged 96 receptions for 1,374 yards and 12 touchdowns per season during that stretch.

Injuries have slowed Beckham since then, but he did manage to crack the 1,000-yard mark in 2019, which was his first season in Cleveland.

A torn ACL cut Beckham's 2020 season short after seven games, and in six games with the Browns this season before his release, he had just 17 grabs for 232 yards and no touchdowns.

Beckham hasn't been as explosive lately as he was earlier in his career, but the Woods role in the Rams offense doesn't always require explosive plays.

Woods typically thrives on intermediate routes that allow him to move the chains, and if Beckham does something similar, there is enough volume present to make him a viable fantasy starter.

Expectations should be tempered for Beckham this week since it will be his first game with the Rams and he has had little preparation, but he will be worthy of flex consideration the rest of the way.

Schefter: Odell Beckham Jr. to Make Rams Debut vs. 49ers After Robert Woods' Injury

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will reportedly make his team debut in Monday night's Week 10 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news Saturday. The update comes after fellow Rams wideout Robert Woods suffered a torn ACL in Friday's practice that will bring his 2021 season to an end, per Schefter and Dianna Russini.

Beckham's decision to sign with Los Angeles came as a surprise since he'd received a limited number of targets with the Cleveland Browns and then, after being released and clearing waivers, he opted to join a team with a crowded pass-catching group.

Between Woods, Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson and Tyler Higbee, it appeared the three-time Pro Bowl selection wouldn't be ticketed for more than a few targets per game.

Now he could step right into the role previously occupied by Woods, who averaged 7.7 targets through the season's first nine contests.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was hopeful about the addition of OBJ, even before losing one of his favorite options to injury.

"It's an opportunity for us as a team, it's an opportunity for him to come in here and prove himself to us," Stafford said Thursday. "What our room is about in the receiver room is pretty special. I know he'll fit right in and just continue to get better, and hopefully it will help us as a team."

Beckham was one of the NFL's best playmakers during his first three seasons with the New York Giants. He recorded 288 catches for 4,122 yards and 35 touchdowns across 43 appearances for the G-Men from 2014 through 2016.

The 29-year-old LSU product suffered a fractured ankle in 2017 and, while he topped 1,000 yards in 2018 with the Giants and 2019 with the Browns, he's never quite returned to the All-Pro level he showcased consistently before the injury.

Perhaps joining the Rams' third-ranking passing attack in what suddenly looks like a possible high-volume role could lead to a significant resurgence from Beckham.

It could take him a couple weeks to reach full speed within L.A.'s offensive scheme—the team's Week 11 bye should help in that process—but the long-term outlook is promising.

Beckham has a terrific opportunity to shine down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs, which would put him in position to land a lucrative contract in the offseason.

Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, Rams Fantasy Outlook After Robert Woods' Injury

The Los Angeles Rams passing attack will take a hit with Robert Woods reportedly set to miss the rest of the season.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter and Dianna Russini, Woods tore his ACL during Friday's practice, the day after the signing of Odell Beckham Jr.

Cooper Kupp was already a WR1 this year and should be even more valuable going forward, but the depth of the Rams receiving corps could now be tested. Fantasy managers looking for help on the waiver wire should have opportunities, however, with the Rams making a habit of spreading the ball around under head coach Sean McVay.

Van Jefferson should be the first target on the waiver wire for Week 10 as he looks to step into Woods' role.

The 2020 second-round pick has taken on a bigger role in his second season after replacing Josh Reynolds as the No. 3 receiver on the depth chart. Through nine games, Jefferson has 27 catches for 433 yards and three touchdowns.

The latest injury could make him an even bigger part of the offense as a deep threat who will get a lot of chances at big plays.

Beckham certainly becomes a much more intriguing fantasy player now that he could step in as the Rams' No. 2 wideout. Head coach Sean McVay has been vague about whether or not the three-time Pro Bowler will play on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers.

"We'll see," McVay told reporters on Friday. "We will take it a day at a time. ... If we feel like he can help us against the 49ers, then we’ll have him ready to go."

Given how poor San Francisco's secondary has been, particularly last week when Arizona Cardinals backup Colt McCoy went 22-of-26 for 249 yards against it, Beckham becomes a must-start option if he plays.

One drawback is that the game is on Monday night, so fantasy owners would essentially be gambling their flex spot if you put him in the lineup.

Tyler Higbee should also move up the tight end rankings as he takes on a bigger role within the offense, especially around the red zone.

Any time there are extra targets to go around in a high-powered offense, fantasy managers should keep a close eye on everyone involved.

Report: Robert Woods Suffers Torn ACL Injury Day After Rams Sign Odell Beckham Jr.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods reportedly suffered a torn ACL during practice Friday, one day after the team signed wideout Odell Beckham Jr.

Schefter noted that Woods got up, finished practice and took part in media interviews after suffering the injury, and it wasn't known until later when he underwent tests that he had torn his ACL.

So far this season, Woods has posted 45 receptions for 556 yards and four touchdowns for the 7-2 Rams. He ranks second on the team in each of those categories behind Cooper Kupp.

Last season, in his fourth campaign as a member of the Rams after starting his career with the Buffalo Bills, Woods racked up 90 receptions for 936 yards and six touchdowns during the regular season while also rushing for 155 yards and two scores.

Woods has been a force during his time in L.A., especially during the 2018 and 2019 seasons when he recorded the first two 1,000-yard seasons of his career.

He enjoyed a career year in 2018 when he reeled in 86 receptions for 1,219 yards and six touchdowns and helped propel the Rams to the Super Bowl. Woods was nearly as good the following season with 90 catches for 1,134 yards and two touchdowns.

He has also proved to be dangerous on end arounds and reverses, as he rushed for over 100 yards and scored one rushing touchdown in each of the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He also rushed for 155 yards and two scores last season.

With Woods likely to miss the remainder of the year, Kupp will remain quarterback Matthew Stafford's obvious No. 1 target, with Beckham and second-year man Van Jefferson slotting in behind him.

Stafford also figures to lean on tight end Tyler Higbee in the passing game, and he will likely try to get the ball in the hands of running backs Darrell Henderson Jr. and Sony Michel more as well.

Rams head coach Sean McVay is considered by many to be an offensive genius, but Woods is perhaps the most consistent performer on the L.A. offense, and being without him will be a tough hurdle to clear even with Beckham in the fold.

Carroll: Odell Beckham Jr. Pursuit Was Taken 'All the Way Through' by Seahawks GM

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said general manager John Schneider kept tabs on the Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes all the way until the wide receiver announced his decision to sign with the Los Angeles Rams.

"The situation that we have been in so many times before when we have opportunities, we explore it and go as far as we can," Carroll told reporters Friday. "That's what we did, John took it all the way through and made sure we knew what was going on. He had picked the place that he wanted to go to once he cleared waivers and he got a chance to do that."

Along with the Seahawks and Rams, Beckham also attracted interest from the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints, per ESPN.

It created a situation where the three-time Pro Bowl selection had a wide variety of different options, and he ultimately had to weigh the chance to compete for a Super Bowl title with potentially taking on a high-volume role.

Beckham opted for an L.A. squad that already possessed a deep pass-catching group with Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Van Jefferson and Tyler Higbee. So his individual numbers don't figure to explode following his move from the Cleveland Browns, but it gives him a chance to earn a role on a team with legitimate championship aspirations.

The 29-year-old LSU product would have been in line for a more consistent role in Seattle, but he'd still likely have been No. 3 in the pecking order behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.

In turn, the Seahawks will continue to search for ways to get more production from its other targets. Wide receiver Freddie Swain and tight ends Gerald Everett and Will Dissly have yet to take advantage of opportunities to fill that key void in the passing game.

The return of quarterback Russell Wilson, who missed the past three games after finger surgery, should provide a boost to an offense that averaged just 190.3 passing yards per game under the guidance of backup Geno Smith.

Seattle doesn't have much margin for error as it returns from a bye week with a 3-5 record and has matchups with the Green Bay Packers (7-2) and Arizona Cardinals (8-1) over the next two weeks.

The schedule gets more favorable after that, but the Hawks can only afford two or three more losses down the stretch to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Adding Beckham would have helped their chances of putting together a second-half surge, but it's still possible despite the wideout's decision to sign with the division-rival Rams.

Odell Beckham Jr. Has Chance to Make Rams Debut vs. 49ers, Sean McVay Says

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters that newly acquired wideout Odell Beckham Jr. could make his debut for the team Monday against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium.

"We’ll see," McVay said Friday. "... If we feel like he can help us against the 49ers, then we’ll have him ready to go."

The Rams announced Thursday that they signed Beckham, a three-time Pro Bowler with five 1,000-yard seasons on his resume. The former New York Giant and Cleveland Brown is in his eighth NFL season.

Beckham had 17 catches for 232 yards in six games for the Browns in 2021 before he and the team decided it was best for both sides to part ways. This came after OBJ's father, Odell Beckham Sr., posted a video on Instagram showing the times quarterback Baker Mayfield didn't target his son when he was open.

The former LSU star cleared waivers Tuesday to become a free agent before signing with L.A. for the remainder of the season.

Beckham is joining a loaded Rams offense that already features a potent passing attack with quarterback Matthew Stafford, wideouts Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods and tight end Tyler Higbee.

Season-ending injuries in 2017 (fractured left ankle) and 2020 (torn left ACL) may prevent him from ever reaching the peak that he achieved during his Pro Bowl stretch from 2014 to 2016, but he could still be a key piece as the Rams look to win their second title of the Super Bowl era.

Beckham figures to round out three-receiver sets with Kupp and Woods, creating a dynamic trio that might be near-impossible to stop.

For now, the 7-2 Rams are focused on catching the 8-1 Arizona Cardinals for the NFC West (and NFC) lead. Game time against the 49ers on Monday is 8:15 p.m. ET.

If Beckham isn't ready for that contest, then his next chance to suit up for the Rams will be on Nov. 28 at the Green Bay Packers.

Rams Rumors: Von Miller, Odell Beckham Jr. Contract Extensions Interest LA

The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly interested in talking with linebacker Von Miller and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. about potential contract extensions after their recent arrivals.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported the news Friday:

A lot could depend on how well Miller and Beckham play for the remainder of the season.

Miller tallied 4.5 sacks in seven appearances with the Denver Broncos before his trade to the Rams last week. He's one of the premier edge-rushers of the generation with 110.5 sacks in 142 career regular-season games en route to eight Pro Bowl selections.

At 32, he could receive one more lucrative contract on a two- or three-year deal if he helps push L.A. toward a Super Bowl. He should also benefit from more one-on-one opportunities as part of a defense that also features Aaron Donald and Leonard Floyd.

Beckham's choice of the Rams was a bit surprising because he doesn't have a clear path to a high-volume role due to the presence of Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Van Jefferson and Tyler Higbee. It may suppress his overall individual output, but he'll get a chance to shine in the playoffs.

It's hard to project what type of contract he'll command in the offseason. He was one of the NFL's most dynamic playmakers over his first three seasons with the New York Giants, scoring 35 touchdowns in 43 games from 2014 to 2016, but he hasn't played at that level in recent years.

Los Angeles is heading toward an offseason in which it'll have to do some salary-cap gymnastics. It's projected to have just $5.9 million in cap space with 39 players under contract for 2022, per Spotrac.

Signing either Miller or Beckham to an extension in the short term would likely rely on the player taking a team friendly deal that wouldn't further complicate the cap issues.

More likely, the Rams will hope their two high-profile, in-season additions help the franchise chase down a championship and then revisit the situation in the offseason.

Miller, who missed last week's game with an ankle injury, and Beckham could both make their team debuts Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers in an NFC West showdown.

Odell Beckham Jr. Reportedly 'Lowballed' by Packers in Contract Talks

The Green Bay Packers' unwillingness to up their contract offer reportedly played a role in wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. signing with the Los Angeles Rams in free agency this week.

According to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports, the Packers only offered OBJ the veteran minimum, while the Rams gave him a one-year deal with $4.25 million in guaranteed money, plus many incentives.

Schultz added that while Packers head coach Matt LaFleur wanted Beckham in the belief that his integration into the offense would be "seamless" and "positive," the Green Bay front office "lowballed" the three-time Pro Bowler.

After getting selected 12th overall in the 2014 NFL draft by the New York Giants, Beckham took the NFL by storm. He was the 2014 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons.

He also averaged about 96 receptions for 1,374 yards and 12 touchdowns per year in those three seasons as well.

Injuries limited OBJ to four games in 2017 and 12 games in 2018, however, and he was subsequently traded to the Cleveland Browns.

Beckham did manage to record 1,035 receiving yards in his first season in Cleveland, but he scored only four times and clearly wasn't the same explosive player he once was.

A torn ACL ended Beckham's season after just seven games in 2020, and his 2021 season got off to a late start while he was recovering from the injury.

In six games this season, Beckham has made just 17 grabs for 232 yards and no scores.

After expressing his displeasure with the Browns, Cleveland released him last week. After clearing waivers, he was a hot commodity on the free-agent market.

NFL Network's Kim Jones reported Thursday that Beckham told her he was deciding between the Rams and Packers before he ultimately made the official decision to sign L.A.

While the Rams are Super Bowl contenders, it came as something of a surprise when OBJ signed with them since Los Angeles already has Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and the emerging Van Jefferson at wideout.

Beckham likely would have been the clear No. 2 receiver in Green Bay behind Davante Adams and ahead of the likes of Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Randall Cobb and Amari Rodgers.

Signing with the Packers likely would have guaranteed Beckham more looks in the passing game and given him a better chance to land a strong contract during the offseason.

Instead, Beckham will look to fit into a stacked Rams offense, while the Packers are still without an unquestioned No. 2 option in the passing game behind Adams.
