Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is a proud father, and he admitted Thursday to getting very emotional about watching his two sons, Bronny and Bryce, play in a competitive game together for the first time ever.
Man I'm literally watching Bronny and Bryce on the court together for the first time in a game situation!! This is INSANE!! I'm EMOTIONAL AF!! WOW
Bronny and Bryce suited up Thursday for the California Basketball Club, whose roster also features the sons of former NBA stars Penny Hardaway and Scottie Pippen.
The California Basketball Club is in Europe for the next 12 days to compete against teams from London, Paris and Rome. The team's first game was Thursday against London at 3 p.m. ET, and it didn't take long for James to share his excitement about watching Bronny and Bryce.
Bronny is entering his senior year of high school and will be eligible for the 2024 NBA draft. James has been very open about wanting to play alongside Bronny in the NBA, so it might not be long until we see the duo team up on the biggest stage.
Bryce, meanwhile, is just 15 years old and it'll be a while before people begin to talk about his NBA potential.

The 17-year-old son of LeBron James is a junior basketball player at Sierra Canyon School in California. 247Sports considers him a 4-star prospect and No. 34 overall in his class, although he is arguably the most famous high school player in the country thanks to the four-time NBA MVP.
Bronny could also get a leg up in the NBA draft when eligible in 2024 after LeBron's recent declaration.
"My last year will be played with my son," James told Jason Lloyd of The Athletic. "Wherever Bronny is at, that's where I'll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It's not about the money at that point."
In the meantime, Bronny can earn money through new NIL laws at the high school level in California and once he reaches the NCAA. With over 6 million followers on Instagram and 5 million on TikTok, the endorsement opportunities should continue to roll in over the next few years.
Bronny James Would Be Best Served Playing 2-3 Years in College, Talent Evaluator Says
Feb 22, 2022

Basketball fans are eagerly anticipating Bronny James' entry into the NBA since it will impact where his father, LeBron James, takes his talents, but one school of thought suggests Bronny would benefit from additional seasoning before making the jump to the NBA.
According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, one talent evaluator said Bronny would be best off playing "two or three years" of college basketball before entering the draft.
Bronny, who stars at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California, will have to make a decision on his basketball future in 2023, which is when he is set to graduate from high school.
On 247Sports' composite rankings, Bronny is rated as a 4-star recruit, the No. 34 overall player, No. 6 combo guard and No. 4 player from California in the 2023 class.
Those rankings suggest Bronny has a solid shot at going to a top college and contributing immediately, although his plans remain unclear.
It has long been assumed that LeBron would move heaven and earth to play alongside his son in the NBA, and the four-time champion, MVP and Finals MVP confirmed as much during All-Star Weekend in Cleveland.
In an interview with Lloyd, James said: "My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that's where I'll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It's not about the money at that point."
As of now, unless the rules change, Bronny is not eligible to be drafted until 2024.
That means he could spend the 2023-24 season playing in college, overseas or in the G League, or he could even take the year off.
The G League has become a popular alternative for prospects who don't want to be one-and-done collegiate players.
Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets and Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors both played for the G League Ignite squad last season before being top-10 picks in 2021.
The G League is effective at preparing players for the NBA, but if Bronny needs multiple years of preparation as the anonymous talent evaluator suggests, playing at a top-flight college program could be his best bet.
One fact worth considering is how long LeBron intends to play, as he is currently 37 and in his 19th season.
Injuries have nagged him at times in recent years, but he is still playing at an elite level, averaging 29.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.
He may not be in any hurry to retire, which could mean he would be willing to wait a few years while Bronny attends college.
LeBron will become a free agent after the 2022-23 season, though, and Bronny committing to enter the draft in 2024 would make it easier for LeBron to set himself up to become a free agent again during Bronny's draft year.
Bronny may not be fully NBA-ready by 2024, but the allure of landing LeBron in addition to Bronny should ensure that a team takes a chance on him regardless.

Dylan Metoyer hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give the Sierra Canyon boys high school basketball team (Chatsworth, California) a 67-64 win over Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, Illinois).
Glenbard West entered the game with a perfect 26-0 record and a No. 10 spot in MaxPreps' rankings of the top teams in the nation. Sierra Canyon was exceptional in its own right, entering Saturday with a 20-3 mark and the No. 13 ranking.
The Chipotle Clash of Champions battle between California and Illinois took place at Chicago's Wintrust Arena, which featured a crowd heavily in Glenbard West's favor.
Still, Sierra Canyon fared well and even took a 53-41 lead late in the third quarter.
However, Glenbard West chipped away at the edge. Big shots included a Graham Pierce layup as well as a Braden Huff three-pointer:
The latter shot from the Gonzaga commit cut the lead to 64-63, and the game was tied at 64 after a Paxton Warden free throw.
After Glenbard West burned a foul, Sierra Canyon had eight seconds left to win the game. The Trailblazers did just that as Metoyer nailed the clutch corner three off a Bailey feed for the victory.
Bronny James Files Trademark Applications; Plans Move into NFTs, Video Games, Apparel
Feb 2, 2022

Bronny James only turned 17 in October, but he's already taking steps toward building his empire.
Trademark attorney Josh Gerben reported James has filed three trademarks with an eye toward using them for NFTs, clothing and video games.
Bronny James has filed 3 trademark applications for:
1️⃣ BRONNY 2️⃣ A logo on his "B J JR." signature 3️⃣ BRONALD
The trademarks still need to be approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and it's unclear when James would look to put them to practical use. But the basketball star is clearly looking to get ahead of the market.
James is the No. 34 recruit in 247Sports' composite rankings of the 2023 class, and his name recognition alone means he'll be able to cash in on plenty of endorsements. He was 15 when he joined the eSports organization FaZe Clan.
The Sierra Canyon combo guard could bypass college altogether and take one of the alternative paths to the NBA such as Overtime Elite of the NBA G League Ignite. If he chooses to play college basketball, the NCAA's new name, image and likeness rules would allow him to cash in during what would presumably be his only season at the collegiate level.

The Sierra Canyon boys high school basketball team (Chatsworth, California) defeated Windward High School (Los Angeles) 100-59 on Tuesday.
Sierra Canyon, which ranked No. 13 in MaxPreps' national rankings entering the game, led 27-18 after one quarter and 60-32 at halftime.
Trailblazers guard Bronny James, who is the son of Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, got this putback layup to push his team's point total to 60 right before half:
Sierra Canyon led 84-45 after three before settling on the 100-59 final.
Per prep writer Jack Pollon, UCLA commit Amari Bailey led the team with 22 points. USC commit Kijani Wright added 17 points, and Isaiah Elohim pitched in 15.
For Windward, freshman Gavin Hightower led all scorers with 24 points.
Sierra Canyon got the 41-point win despite playing short-handed: Per Tarek Fattal of the Los Angeles Daily News, the Trailblazers were without both Shy Odom and Ramel Lloyd Jr.
The Trailblazers moved to 21-3 overall and will now play Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, Illinois) in a non-league game Saturday.
Windward fell to 18-8 and will face the Brentwood School (Los Angeles) on Friday.

Bronny James was held in check as Camden earned a 66-62 victory over Sierra Canyon on Saturday in a highly anticipated clash.
James finished with nine points, five assists, two rebounds, two steals and one block.
Camden held Sierra Canyon to just two points in the first quarter as it opened a 13-point lead. Sierra Canyon slowly chipped away at the deficit over the course of the contest but couldn't break through.
"We came up Friday night and had a practice at a college. This morning, I felt good," Camden coach Rick Brunson said of his team, per NJ Advance Media's Kevin Minnick. "The guys were loose, and I knew we were ready. Against Montverde and those others, we second-guessed ourselves. Tonight, we were ready."
This game pitted one of the best seniors in the country against one of the top talents from the 2023 class. Sierra Canyon's Amari Bailey sits second in 247Sports' composite rankings for the upcoming class, while Camden's D.J. Wagner occupies the No. 1 spot for the following year.
Together, Bailey and Wagner didn't disappoint. The former poured in a game-high 23 points, while the latter dropped 21 points to help his squad pull out the victory.

Jeremy Faison, a member of Tennessee's House of Representatives, was ejected from a high school basketball game this week and attempted to pants a referee.
Faison, whose son plays for Lakeway Christian Academy, was unhappy with a foul call. He got into a debate with the official, Paul Pendleton, and tried to pull one of his pant legs down before leaving the court.
TN State Rep. Jeremy Faison, House GOP Chair, tried to fight and depants a high school basketball referee.
FAISON: "Unfortunately, I acted the fool tonight and lost my temper on a ref. I was wanting him to fight me. Totally lost my junk and got booted ... I was bad wrong." pic.twitter.com/qlBttjWZsg
Per Melissa Brown and Emily Adams of the Tennessean, Pendleton filed a report with the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association after initially asking the game administrator to call the police.
In the report, Pendleton said Faison told him "you can't tell me to leave the floor, this was your fault" during their on-court altercation.
Faison has been a representative for the 11th District in Tennessee's House of Representatives since 2010.
Bronny James Scores 9 as Sierra Canyon Defeats St. Paul VI to Win 'Iolani Classic

Ramel Lloyd Jr. scored 20 points and Bronny James added nine as No. 3 Sierra Canyon beat No. 20 St. Paul VI 52-49 in the 'Iolani Classic boys high school basketball finals from Honolulu on Wednesday.
James, a junior, had a good all-around game. He was active on the glass and played tough defense, which included drawing a key late charge in the nationally televised contest on NBCSN.
On the other end, James had four points in the first half and five in the final two quarters in a tight defensive contest.
He also did a good job facilitating the Blazers offense against a tight St. Paul zone that forced Sierra Canyon to hit its outside shots. James finished with four assists.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwPelEez9Bs?
The first quarter was all St. Paul VI, which got 12 of its 13 points from point guard and Michigan commit Dug McDaniel. The future Wolverine finished the night with 17, and the Panthers led 13-8 after one.
The son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James hit a pair of free throws to give Sierra Canyon a 22-21 lead right before halftime, but St. Paul VI responded with a bucket before intermission to take a 23-22 advantage going into the third quarter.
The Blazers got hot against the St. Paul VI zone in the third, as the Nebraska-bound Lloyd and Mikey Price both made their buckets. Price hit a pair of threes to turn a 35-30 deficit into a 36-35 lead, with James assisting on one of those buckets.
This one was close down the stretch, with James coming through in the clutch.
He hit a layup to give Sierra Canyon a 46-43 lead. James later grabbed a defensive rebound and went coast-to-coast for a layup attempt. The shot was no good, but he drew the foul and made 1-of-2 from the free-throw line.
St. Paul VI responded with two straight buckets and got the ball back with a chance to tie or take the lead, but James drew a big charge on the baseline to give the ball back to Sierra Canyon.
That proved to be a huge play, as Lloyd made a three on the other end to give the Blazers enough breathing room with a 52-47 lead.
However, St. Paul VI persevered and eventually found itself down 52-49 with the ball in the closing seconds.
McDaniel took a long three that was no good, but an offensive rebound plus a kick-out led to the St. Paul VI star getting another look from beyond the arc. The second attempt went around the rim, and that was the ballgame.
With that, the 7-1 Panthers dropped their first game of the year.
Lloyd won the honors at the end of the game as the tournament's top player.
Sierra Canyon is now 13-1 on the season. The Blazers will play Venice (California) High School next Wednesday.
