WWE Superstar Kevin Owens has reportedly pitched having a match against retired Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.

According to Fightful Select (h/t H Jenkins of Ringside News), Owens and Michaels had a discussion about it and Michaels told KO he would be "lying if he didn't think about doing another match." At the same time, Michaels reportedly told Owens he "doesn't think he should" wrestle again.

Owens drew one of the biggest stars in wrestling history out of retirement earlier this year when Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin faced him in the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 38.

Before that, Austin had not had a match in 19 years, as his retirement match came against The Rock at WrestleMania 19.

Owens and Austin had a highly entertaining brawl that ended with an Austin win, and the live crowd in Arlington, Texas, went crazy for The Texas Rattlesnake.

Michaels witnessing Owens vs. Austin reportedly got him thinking about the possibility of having another match, but it doesn't appear as though anything is imminent on that front.

The Heartbreak Kid had his retirement match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26, and while he remained retired for quite some time, he did come out of retirement for a tag team match at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia in 2018.

Michaels teamed with Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane, but it was largely a disaster, as Kane's mask fell off at one point and Triple H suffered a torn pectoral muscle.

Per Fightful, Michaels has told people that the Crown Jewel match was the single biggest payday of his entire career.

Michaels is still very much around WWE and the product since he serves as the head of NXT, so it isn't outside the realm of possibility that he could wrestle again.

Owens would be an excellent opponent based on how well he handled Austin's return, but it is fair to wonder if the poor reception for his Crown Jewel match might prevent Michaels from making a second comeback.

Bleacher Report catches you up on the latest news from the WWE Universe.

WWE Reportedly Moving Forward with Reigns, Owens Plans Despite Rumored Heat

Despite some reported heat between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens, WWE is reportedly still planning to go ahead with plans involving the two Superstars.

It was initially reported by Fightful Select (h/t H Jenkins of Ringside News) that Reigns was "visibly upset" after Survivor Series WarGames because of an "unplanned spot" involving Owens.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News) confirmed the report, noting that Reigns was indeed upset after getting "popped," causing bruising under his left eye.

Meltzer added that everything had "blown over" after 20 minutes, however, and that no lingering issues remained. Meltzer (h/t Mukherjee) also reported that any plans involving Owens, Reigns and Sami Zayn are still moving forward as expected, and that there won't be a situation where Reigns and Owens refuse to work together.

At Survivor Series WarGames, Owens led a team also comprised of Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland against The Bloodline made up of Reigns, Zayn, Solo Sikoa and The Usos.

The climax of the match came when Zayn stopped his former best friend, Owens, from pinning Reigns before hitting Owens with a low blow and a Helluva Kick. Zayn offered KO up to Jey Uso, who hit him with an Uso Splash for the win.

Reigns seemed to fully accept Zayn as a member of The Bloodline after the match, while Jey Uso embraced Zayn with a hug after being skeptical of him for months.

On Raw, Owens insisted he wasn't angry at Zayn, but made it clear that he no longer wanted anything to do with the man who had been so closely linked to his career for two decades.

Owens faced Jey Uso in the main event of Raw, and despite the presence of The Bloodline at ringside, KO was victorious.

That suggests there are plans in place for Owens to continue feuding with The Bloodline, perhaps even leading up to a WWE Universal Championship match against Reigns at the Royal Rumble in January.

Jey Uso Reportedly Worked Through WarGames with Injury

WarGames is among the most dangerous matches in pro wrestling, and Jey Uso reportedly may have found that out firsthand.

According to Meltzer (h/t Mukherjee), Uso said Monday night in a promo, "I think I broke my hand for real." Meltzer noted that Uso said that because he "probably" actually did suffer a legitimate broken hand either during or before WarGames.

Per Meltzer, there had been talk of Uso working through a broken wrist before WarGames, but it ended up not being broken. He was apparently unable to avoid an injury of a slightly different kind, however.

At WarGames, Jey was the first entrant for The Bloodline, and he worked the match with tape around his wrist and a couple of his fingers. He was among the standout performers and pinned Owens to pick up the win for his team.

Then, on Raw, Jey competed in the main event against Owens, which ended with a Stunner and a pinfall victory for KO.

Jey Uso has consistently been among the most entertaining aspects of WWE's weekly programming for quite some time, dating back to the creation of Reigns' Tribal Chief character and the formation of The Bloodline.

Jey initially went up against Reigns in a heated and memorable feud before joining forces with him and helping for form one of the most dominant stables in WWE history.

Much of the credit for The Bloodline's success is owed to Jey, which is why his apparent willingness to work through injury is such a major coup for the group.

Bob Orton Gives Positive Update on Randy Orton's Injury Recovery

WWE Hall of Famer "Cowboy" Bob Orton commented recently on the recovery of his son, Randy Orton, from a back ailment.

Speaking during a virtual autograph signing (h/t Mukherjee), the elder Orton said Randy is "coming along" and will be "back in there before you know it."

Last week, it was reported by Fightful Select (h/t Jenkins) that Randy Orton had recently undergone fusion surgery on his lower back. It was noted that there was no timetable for his return other than that he would miss "an extended period of time."

Fightful also reported that some people they spoke to in WWE believed the company would be "fortunate" if Orton ever comes back because of the nature of the injury and the amount of wear and tear Orton has suffered during a 20-year career.

Orton has been out of action since May, last competing on the May 20 episode of SmackDown when he and Matt Riddle dropped the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a unification match.

WWE acknowledged at the time that Orton was dealing with back issues, but the company has yet to say anything publicly about how severe his back injury is.

It is difficult to envision Orton returning any time soon, and given that he is 42 years of age, it isn't guaranteed that he will ever return to the ring at all, especially in a full-time capacity.

Orton is one of WWE's biggest stars and most accomplished performers, as well as a surefire future Hall of Famer, so the company figures to do all it can to get him as healthy as possible and in position to potentially return to action in the future.

WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns Potentially Injured Ear; 'Upset' After Spot with Kevin Owens

WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns reportedly suffered an injury in the main event of Survivor Series WarGames this past Saturday, and he is not happy about it.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (h/t H. Jenkins of Ringside News), Reigns was "visibly upset" after the show and "took exception to what he perceived as an unplanned spot between he and Kevin Owens" during the WarGames match between The Bloodline and Owens, Drew McIntyre and The Brawling Brutes.

"As he walked backstage, he mentioned possibly having a ruptured ear drum, and wanted the spot to go as originally planned," Sapp stated. "The exclamation was said to have been 'expletive filled' and it was clear to everyone that Reigns wasn’t happy."

The injury might explain why Reigns didn't attend the post-show press conference as had been originally planned. Despite the reported backstage altercation, it doesn't sound like there will be any heat between Reigns and Owens going forward as Sapp was told by talent that they "expected the two to be able to coexist for work purposes."

As The Bloodline emerged victorious at Survivor Series WarGames, it will be interesting to see who emerges as the next challenger for Reigns' undisputed title.

In a first for the WWE main roster, two WarGames matches will be contested Saturday night at Survivor Series WarGames in Boston.

WarGames was a concept created by late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, and while it had a huge impact on WCW, it didn't have any presence in WWE until the creation of NXT TakeOver: WarGames in 2017.

While NXT had a yearly pay-per-view featuring WarGames matches, the brutal bout was kept off the main roster until now, as new head of WWE creative Triple H is putting the biggest possible spotlight on it.

In addition to men's and women's WarGames matches, two championships will be on the line, and a personal rivalry will be settled.

Here is everything you need to know to watch Survivor Series WarGames, as well as a rundown of the top matches you won't want to miss.

Where: TD Garden in Boston

When: Saturday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. ET

Watch: Peacock

Top Survivor Series WarGames Matches to Watch

The Bloodline vs. Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre and Brawling Brutes

The Bloodline is the most dominant faction in WWE currently and among the most dominant to ever grace a WWE ring, and Saturday will mark the first time that all five members fight as one in a single match.

Going up against them will be five men who The Bloodline have wronged recently, meaning the babyfaces will have ample motivation to take the fight to Roman Reigns and Co.

Drew McIntyre fell short of beating Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle in September, Butch and Ridge Holland lost a WWE Tag Team Championship match to The Usos after they took out Sheamus with a steel chair, and Kevin Owens has been trying to convince longtime friend Sami Zayn to not drink the Bloodline Kool-Aid.

With so many storylines intertwined into one, the men's WarGames match has a chance to be truly special, and it could conceivably be a match of the year contender.

Also, the possibility of something going wrong between Zayn and Jey Uso that potentially creates a massive rift in The Bloodline and costs them the match will be something worth monitoring.

Even aside from the angles, the match will feature 10 of the most talented Superstars WWE has to offer, and it is difficult to envision the end product being anything short of spectacular.

Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim and TBA vs. Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross and Rhea Ripley

While much of the hype ahead of Survivor Series WarGames is focused on The Bloodline, the women's WarGames match has a chance to be special in its own right.

The women's WarGames match is primarily rooted in the rivalry between Raw women's champion Bianca Belair and Bayley, along with her Damage CTRL stablemates Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai.

Alexa Bliss and Asuka have also been heavily involved in the feud, as they traded the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships with Sky and Kai.

Another rivalry between Mia Yim of The O.C. and Rhea Ripley of The Judgment Day has also been integrated into the match, adding yet another layer.

Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the bout is the mystery member of Belair's team, which is supposed to be announced on Friday's SmackDown, although WWE could always hold off until Survivor Series itself.

While WWE hasn't given any clues, Becky Lynch makes the most sense if she is healed from a shoulder injury that has kept her out for four months, as Damage CTRL was responsible for putting her on the shelf from a storyline perspective.

AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor

The only match on the Survivor Series card that isn't either for a title or being contested under WarGames rules is the singles bout between AJ Styles and Finn Balor.

It can be argued that the stakes are lower in that match than any of the others, but given the in-ring quality of both competitors, it has a legitimate chance to be the best match of the entire night.

Styles and Balor have only faced each other in a one-on-one bout once before, that being a match won by Balor at TLC 2017.

That match wasn't even supposed to happen, as Styles was a late replacement for an ill Bray Wyatt, but it was still an excellent encounter that fans continue to talk about to this day.

This time around, there is a true storyline involved, as Styles rebuffed offers by Balor to join The Judgment Day, leading to the group attacking Styles and The Phenomenal One then enlisting the help of Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Mia Yim.

From a technical perspective, Styles and Balor have the ability to put on a true classic, and on a card with so few matches, they should be given ample time to make that happen.
