Bryson DeChambeau arrived in style for Capital One's The Match.

The 2020 U.S. Open champion chartered a helicopter to make the trip to The Reserve at the Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana.

Here's hoping Brooks Koepka rolls up to a PGA Tour event in a fighter jet or something to one-up his rival.

DeChambeau is teaming up with Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers against Phil Mickelson and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Tom Brady.

Brady and Mickelson are looking for a measure of revenge after having lost Capital One's "The Match: Champions for Charity" to Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods in May 2020.

Before they split into two teams for Capital One's The Match, the quartet of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau enjoyed a brief game of Jeopardy! for Bleacher Report.

Brady couldn't help but have some fun at Rodgers' expense, answering a question about the Green Bay Packers star by describing him as "unhappy with his boss and has no options." The 37-year-old has been embroiled in a well-publicized conflict with his team this offseason.

Capital One's The Match is set to get underway at 5 p.m. ET and will be simulcast on TNT, TBS and truTV.

If Jeopardy! is any indication, the trash talk alone should make for great entertainment.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady hyped up Capital One's The Match on Tuesday by posting a video of playing partner Phil Mickelson on Twitter.

Brady tweeted the following edit of a viral Mickelson video from before the 2019 Masters tournament:

The edit focused on Mickelson talking about his desire to "hit bombs" off the tee, although the original video was a bit more in depth and saw Lefty break down the importance of long drives at Augusta National.

On Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET on TNT, Brady and Mickelson will team up in a modified alternate shot match-play format against Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau, who's known for his length off the tee, at The Reserve at the Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana.

Mickelson has been featured in every iteration of Capital One's The Match since it was first conceived in 2018, when he beat Tiger Woods in a head-to-head matchup.

Lefty teamed with Brady in a losing effort against Woods and legendary quarterback Peyton Manning the next time around, and now he and Brady are out for a better result Tuesday.

The pairing of Mickelson and Brady is fitting since they have both experienced an unprecedented amount of success at their respective ages.

Mickelson won the PGA Championship in May, making him the oldest major champion in the history of golf at 50.

Meanwhile, at the age of 43, Brady led the Bucs to a Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs last season. It marked Brady's seventh Super Bowl win, and he was named Super Bowl MVP for the fifth time as well—both are NFL records.

Both Mickelson and Brady may have to hit some bombs off the tee in order to keep pace with DeChambeau on Tuesday, but given how they have beaten the odds in the latter portion of their respective careers, it wouldn't be wise to count them out.

Tom Brady got the best of Aaron Rodgers back in January, when his Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Brady and the Bucs went on to win the Super Bowl, while Rodgers, the 2020 NFL MVP, and the Packers fell short.

Now, the two quarterbacks are going head-to-head again. But this time, it won't be on a football field. It will be on a golf course instead.

Brady and Rodgers are participating in Capital One's The Match, which is set to take place Tuesday at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Mont. Brady is paired with six-time major winner Phil Mickelson, while Rodgers will be playing alongside 2020 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau.

While DeChambeau and Rodgers are participating in one of these events for the first time, Mickelson and Brady are former teammates having lost to Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning in Capital One's The Match: Champions for Charity in May 2020.

Here's everything else you need to know heading into Tuesday's event.

Start Time: 5 p.m. ET

Rules, Preview

If you've watched previous iterations of Capital One's The Match, the rules are going to be a little different this time. The duos of Mickelson/Brady and DeChambeau/Rodgers will be playing a modified alternate-shot format, but it should be simple to follow.

Each of the four will be hitting a tee shot every hole. However, each duo will only play one ball from there. For example, if DeChambeau hits a better drive than Rodgers, they will play DeChambeau's ball from there, with the Packers QB taking the next shot.

At that point, the partners will alternate shots. It's also match play, so whichever duo posts the better score on a hole will get the point for that hole.

DeChambeau and Rodgers are the favorites to win, and a big reason for that is DeChambeau's driving ability. He's averaging 321.9 yards per drive during the 2021 PGA Tour season, which ranks first among all golfers, ahead of second-place Rory McIlroy (318.7).

Meanwhile, Mickelson ranks 50th at 301.8 yards per drive. So if DeChambeau is hitting long, booming drives, it will put him and Rodgers in better positions to have success.

How do the quarterbacks stack up on the greens? Well, both have shown promise in the past. Rodgers participates in the American Century Championship celebrity tournament every year, while Brady has competed in a Capital One's The Match event before.

But it appears Brady and Rodgers have also played one-on-one in the past, as Brady told reporters last October of a golf matchup between the two.

"He beat me on the golf course, which I didn't like," Brady said at the time, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. "We played nine holes of golf and he made a putt at the end to win, so I was a little pissed about that. ... I always enjoy my time around him. Still trying to get him back on the golf course, though."

Now, Brady is going to get that chance. He'll also get an opportunity to redeem himself after he and Mickelson lost to Woods and Manning last year, when Brady got off to a slow start.

Of course, these events are about more than the golf. The four participants will be playing to raise money for a number of charities, and there's sure to be plenty of trash talking. We'll get to hear all of it, too, as they'll all be mic'd up for the TNT broadcast, so that will be entertaining to watch.

It didn't take long for the trash talk to start after the latest installment of Capital One's The Match was announced. The highly anticipated golf event may be for good causes, but that doesn't mean these competitive athletes aren't going to bring their best to the greens at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Mont., on Tuesday.

On one side, there's the duo of six-time major winner Phil Mickelson and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. They've played together before at Capital One's The Match: Champions for Charity in May 2020, when they lost to Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning.

On the other side, there's the team of 2020 U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau and 2020 NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, neither of whom has previously played at a Capital One's The Match event. But they're a formidable duo that should have a strong showing.

None of these stars will be playing to win money for themselves, as this iteration of Capital One's The Match is being held to benefit My Brother's Keeper Alliance, Feeding America and the Montana Food Bank Network. There will also be on-course challenges taking place to "help raise additional awareness and funding for these important initiatives," per the event's press release.

It hasn't been announced exactly how much money will be raised for these causes. At Capital One's The Match: Champions for Change last November, there was $4.4 million donated to a group of historically Black colleges and universities.

Not only has Brady been showing off his putting game ahead of this event, he's also been one of the biggest trash talkers heading into Tuesday. He even trolled Rodgers during a press conference held last month.

After DeChambeau was talking up his and Rodgers' golf games, Brady took a jab at how Rodgers' 2020 season ended with the Packers. For those who may have forgotten, Green Bay lost to Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game, with the Packers making a questionable decision to kick a field goal on a 4th-and-Goal from the eight-yard line while trailing by eight points late in the game.

"I do think you do have a partner that would probably have liked to go for it a little more often than he has in the past, so Bryson, I'm glad you're encouraging him to kind of go for it when it's on the line, rather than just not getting to the fairway or something like that and try to play for the next shot," Brady said.

That came after DeChambeau made a deflategate joke earlier in the press conference.

"I just can't wait to be testing those golf balls out, those things may feel a little different when it comes game time," DeChambeau said. "But we'll see. We'll make sure that stuff's all dialed in and make sure it's all conforming."

Expect more of those friendly barbs during the event, as the four will be mic'd up on the TNT broadcast, which should provide plenty of entertainment. In addition to the money being raised for charities, that's among the best parts of these types of events.

Still, these four will be playing to win. But which duo is going to emerge victorious?

Rodgers seems to have the edge over Brady, as the Packers quarterback plays in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament each year. And DeChambeau is having a stronger season than Mickelson, although Mickelson won the PGA Championship in May.

DeChambeau and Rodgers are more likely to win, but Mickelson and Brady can never be counted out. Either way, it's going to be entertaining to watch.

Tom Brady is rarely an underdog on the football field. He's a three-time NFL MVP, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and a future Pro Football Hall of Famer, so it's never a surprise when he guides his team to victory.

However, things aren't quite the same when Brady is on a golf course. He may be a decent golfer, but he'll also get a taste of being an underdog when he's on the greens this week.

Brady is again teaming up with Phil Mickelson for Capital One's The Match. This time, they'll be facing another quarterback/golfer duo, as they'll be playing against Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau on Tuesday at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Mont.

The last time Brady and Mickelson were golf partners, they lost to Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods in Capital One's The Match: Champions for Charity in May 2020.

Here's a look at the odds for this highly anticipated charity golf match, along with a prediction for who will come out on top.

Odds

DeChambeau/Rodgers: -177 (bet $177 to win $100)

Mickelson/Brady: +130 (bet $100 to win $130)

Via DraftKings Sportsbook

Preview, Prediction

The format for Capital One's The Match is modified alternate shot match play. That means both players in a duo will tee off, then they'll choose which ball to use from there. At that point, they'll alternate shots the rest of the way to the hole.

So it'll be important for at least one member of the pair to hit a long drive. And that won't be an issue for DeChambeau and Rodgers.

DeChambeau's game has greatly improved over the past few years, and a big reason for that has been his driving ability. It helped him win his first major title at the 2020 U.S. Open. He's struggled a bit of late, though, finishing 18th or worse at his past six PGA Tour events and missing the cut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic this past weekend.

Still, DeChambeau should be loose and having fun playing alongside Rodgers, who isn't a bad golfer himself. The Packers quarterback has been a frequent participant in the American Century Championship, an annual celebrity golf tournament held at Lake Tahoe.

Rodgers finished 16th at that event last year, and his best performance was an eighth-place showing in 2017. So while DeChambeau will likely carry their team, Rodgers is capable of hitting some nice shots.

When Brady last played in Capital One's The Match in 2018, he got off to a slow start. How bad was it? Well, he lost a $50,000 side bet to Basketball Hall of Famer (and notoriously bad golfer) Charles Barkley, who challenged Brady to hit the green on a par three.

But Brady fared better late in that matchup with Manning and Woods, and it's possible he's even improved his golf game since then. Plus, he'll be playing with Mickelson, who won the PGA Championship in May and is always capable of a strong showing on a given day.

However, the smart bet to make is on the favorites, as DeChambeau and Rodgers is a pairing that should have plenty of success and put together a strong round.

It's not going to be completely one-sided. Mickelson and Brady will hit their share of impressive shots. And of course, it's mostly about the fun and friendly trash talk that will be taking place, so while each pair will want to win, it's not just about that at this event.

DeChambeau and Rodgers, though, will end up pulling out the victory, as DeChambeau's long drives and Rodgers' solid golf will prove to be the difference, especially on the longer holes later in the day.

Prediction: DeChambeau and Rodgers win

Betting Guide for Capital One's The Match: Brady-Phil vs. Rodgers-DeChambeau

The fourth edition of Capital One's The Match pits Green Bay Packers reigning MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers and 2020 U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau against Tampa Bay Buccaneers reigning Super Bowl MVP signal-caller Tom Brady and six-time major winner Phil Mickelson.

Looking to make things just a little more interesting when you tune in Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET on TNT for what's sure to be a rollicking exhibition at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana?

Here's a rundown of what DraftKings has to offer from a betting standpoint.

Odds to win

DeChambeau/Rodgers: -182
Mickelson/Brady: +135

There's little doubt DeChambeau/Rodgers should be favored. DeChambeau ranks sixth in the official world golf rankings, while the 51-year-old Mickelson ranks 31st. Rodgers is also considered to be a better amateur golfer than Brady, and the Jack Nicklaus-designed course might give an extra advantage to the younger, stronger guys. It plays to 8,000 yards and features one of the longest holes in the country. The elevation should help everyone gain some distance, but DeChambeau is the longest driver on tour.

With that in mind, -182 ain't bad, and +135 might not be enticing enough to jump on the underdogs. That said, Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning beat this very same Mickelson/Brady duo last year, and those legendary winners will likely be determined to avoid another loss together.

Betting against Tom Brady is never comfortable.

Hole 1 winner

DeChambeau/Rodgers: -125
Mickelson/Brady: -106

Alternatively, if you aren't confident anyone will jump out ahead on the first hole, you can get better odds for DeChambeau/Rodgers to be the first to go up 1 (-137) or for Mickelson/Brady to do the same (+105).

On one hand, the first hole is a pretty wide-open par four that isn't particularly easy or daunting. It's the No. 9 handicap hole, so a halve seems like a strong possibility.

But on the other hand, it's possible nerves will cause somebody to blow up right out of the gate. Neither Rodgers nor DeChambeau has done this before, and DeChambeau's length off the tee might not provide him a huge edge on a medium-length par four with a dogleg. Mickelson/Brady are a tempting bet here.

First to go 2 up

DeChambeau/Rodgers: -159
Mickelson/Brady: +115

As mentioned, you can also get slightly less extreme odds (-137 and +105, respectively) for the first to go 1 up if you think it'll be close. That said, if you're in on the more experienced duo shocking the newbies early, this is a chance to make some money on Mickelson/Brady.

There isn't much value in hitting DeChambeau/Rodgers here, as they have similar odds to win outright and it's harder to see them going up early and collapsing later when scoring opportunities perk up on three late par fives.

If anything, the natural arc is an early Mickelson/Brady lead followed by a charge from DeChambeau/Rodgers on the back nine.

Leading after X holes

3 holes
DeChambeau/Rodgers: -134
Mickelson/Brady: +100

6 holes
DeChambeau/Rodgers: -137
Mickelson/Brady: +105

9 holes
DeChambeau/Rodgers: -150
Mickelson/Brady: +110

12 holes
DeChambeau/Rodgers: -159
Mickelson/Brady: +115

15 holes
DeChambeau/Rodgers: -175
Mickelson/Brady: +130

This is interesting. The first three holes are not big challenges relative to the rest of the course, and Mickelson/Brady could easily capitalize on their experience. The par threes might even favor that duo, and the third is the second-shortest hole on the course.

This match could begin to swing toward the faves on the long par-five sixth, the No. 3 handicap hole. If Brady is indeed the least skilled golfer of the group, he could find trouble there while DeChambeau simply outmuscles Mickelson. But it's possible that'll just get the favored pair back in it, so I wouldn't shy away from taking good odds on Mickelson/Brady until things become really long and treacherous between the 12th and the 15th.

That probably explains why the odds change dramatically in that range.

Longest tee shot (available on holes 1, 6 and 8)

DeChambeau: -200
Mickelson: +140

DeChambeau averages 322.4 yards per drive, while Mickelson averages 302.6. If you're going to take a swing with Phil anywhere, stick to the sixth or the eighth because DeChambeau is more likely to run into trouble off those tees.

Another strategy could be to hedge with DeChambeau on the wide-open first tee and then roll the dice on Mickelson later. Neither player is clearly more accurate off the tee than the other, but Lefty is the vet and it's not hard to imagine DeChambeau getting fired up and making a mistake under the prime-time circumstances.

Will a quarterback hit the fairway on hole X?

1st hole
Yes: -305
No: +210

10th hole
Yes: -250
No: +175

Brady is an 8.1 handicap, while Rodgers is a 4.6, according to Forbes, but Rodgers has said he thinks Brady is better than that. Regardless of whether either is a sandbagger, it's unlikely they'll both miss the fairway.

Still, that first-tee "No" at +210 is tempting because we're still talking about amateurs who could have a different set of nerves out of the gate. Those odds are inflated by the fact that it's a pretty open fairway, while the 10th is a little more daunting off the tee.

The NFL and golf worlds will collide Tuesday at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin in Montana.

Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady will team up once again to this time take on Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers for Capital One's The Match. Fans can follow the event on TNT, TBS and truTV, with coverage beginning at 5 p.m. ET.

Capital One's The Match reunites Mickelson and Brady, who competed against Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning for Capital One's The Match: Champions for Charity in May 2020. Woods and Manning held on despite a late comeback attempt by their opponents.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaO81rxZuyE

That experience together isn't providing much of an edge in the eyes of oddsmakers. Mickelson and Brady are +135 underdogs, while DeChambeau and Rodgers are -182 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

The moneylines aren't entirely surprising given the 24-year age gap between DeChambeau and Mickelson, who are likely to do the heavy lifting for their respective teams.

Mickelson defied Father Time to win the PGA Championship, but DeChambeau is having the better overall season. The latter has six top-10 finishes in 16 events, while the PGA Championship was the former's only top-10 showing so far.

As was the case with previous installments of the event, none of the four stars is competing for major riches in Montana. Instead, Capital One's The Match will help raise money for Feeding America, My Brother's Keeper Alliance and the Montana Food Bank Network.

For Capital One's The Match: Champions for Change last November, a total of $4.4 million went to a group of historically Black colleges and universities.

When the event was officially announced, it didn't take long for the trash talk to begin between the two teams:

Capital One's The Match also quickly got wrapped into DeChambeau's ongoing rivalry with Brooks Koepka:

Through Tuesday's spectacle, Turner Sports will help donate at least one million meals to Feeding America and the Montana Food Bank Network.

Capital One's The Match promises to be a lively affair, especially if Koepka is following the action from home and providing his commentary on social media. It should also serve as the perfect capper to any Fourth of July festivities.

In addition to the television simulcast for the charity event, fans can watch the pre-event warm-up show Range Battles at 4 p.m. ET on the B/R app and B/R's official YouTube channel.

Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady have played together in Capital One's The Match before. The two took on Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning in the second edition of the charity event last May. Brady and Mickelson lost that game and will seek a bit of redemption this Tuesday

Revenge won't be on the menu for Mickelson and Brady, as neither Woods nor Manning will be involved in the latest iteration of Capital One's The Match. Instead, the other team will consist of PGA star Bryson DeChambeau and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Both Mickelson and DeChambeau participated in the Rocket Mortgage Classic over the weekend, with DeChambeau missing the cut and Mickelson tying for 74th place. Ideally, both will perform a little better and bring their best games. While Rodgers and Brady are solid golfers, this is a Pro-Am-style event featuring a modified alternate-shot format.

The pros will be expected to carry their weight, though overall, this will be more of an entertainment and charity event than a hardcore competition. Fans will want to tune in for the exchanges as much as for the golf.

Here's everything you need to know about the fourth iteration of Capital One's The Match.

Capital One's The Match IV

When: Tuesday, July 6

Where: The Reserve at the Moonlight Basin, Big Sky, Montana

Time: 5 p.m. ET

TV and Live Stream: TNT, TNTDrama.com

Odds: Mickelson/Brady +135 (wager $100 to win $135), DeChambeau/Rodgers -182 (wager $182 to win $100)

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Format, Rules and Preview

Under the modified alternate-shot format, each individual player will tee off, and teams will decide which ball to use and alternate shots from there. As in all editions of Capital One's The Match, players will wear microphones to provide audio access for the broadcast. Based on some of the early trash talk we've seen on social media, this could lead to some hilarious and entertaining back-and-forth between the four competitors.

Rodgers recently noted the best qualities of the four participants while building his "perfect golfer" out of the four, in a snark-laced presentation:

Brady, meanwhile, has taken to social media to roast both his opponents and Rodgers' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game earlier this year:

The trash-talking hasn't strictly been a quarterback thing either. DeChambeau recently scoffed at the idea that he would be outdriven at Capital One's The Match.

"Phil outdrive me at [Capital One's] The Match? There is no way," DeChambeau said, per Steve DiMeglio of Golfweek.

DeChambeau is one of the longest drivers on the PGA tour—his highlights are worth a watch—which may be part of the reason why he and Rodgers are the betting favorites. It helps, of course, that Rodgers is no stranger to the sport.

Rodgers is a regular participant at the American Century Championship celebrity tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Nevada. Actor Brian Baumgartner first met Rodgers at the event in 2008.

"This is the summer before he became a starter," Baumgartner told People Now in 2020 (h/t Kendra Meinert of USA Today Network). "I was like, 'Oh, you’re the Cal guy who's never going to play because of Brett Favre, right?' And we became very, very good friends since that time.

Rodgers is expected to attend the American Century Championship later this week after finishing Capital One's The Match. He'll undoubtedly hope to carry a victory into the event.

Capital One's The Match isn't your typical golf event, but it has become an entertaining spectacle that diehard and casual golf fans can enjoy.

November's edition, Champions for Change, featured Phil Mickelson and Charles Barkley taking on Peyton Manning and Stephen Curry, with the former pair winning. On Tuesday, Mickelson and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will face Bryson DeChambeau and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

While Rodgers and Brady seem to have a relatively friendly rivalry on the football field, this hasn't stopped the two from engaging in a bit of pre-match trash talking.

Rodgers mocked Brady's performance in the May 2020 edition of The Match, for which Brady paired with Mickelson to battle Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning:

Brady, meanwhile, took the time to troll Rodgers on the Packers' loss to Tampa Bay in the NFC Championship Game:

The budding golf feud between Rodgers and Brady does seem to be all in the name of good fun, though things may get a little more heated on the course. For Mickelson and DeChambeau—two PGA Tour pros—it should be (mostly) business as usual.

DeChambeau is the reigning champion of the ongoing Rocket Mortgage Classic, though he failed to make the cut. Mickelson, meanwhile, won the PGA Championship in May. While the two are professionals, they have engaged in a little light-hearted trash-talking of their own.

"Phil outdrive me at The Match? There is no way," DeChambeau said, per Steve DiMeglio of Golf Week.

We'll find out exactly who outdrives whom Tuesday.

Like the previous edition of The Match, Tuesday's event will benefit charity.

"With a focus on the importance of supporting community, Capital One's The Match will include donations made to Feeding America, among additional charitable beneficiaries," reads a TNT preview release.

Also like previous versions, the format will feature modified alternate shot match play. Each player will tee off, and teams will decide which ball to use and alternate shots from there. As in all editions of The Match, players will wear microphones to provide audio access to those tuning in.

The broadcast team will feature Barkley, Larry Fitzgerald and Cheyenne Woods. Barkley, of course, was Michelson's teammate last year. Fitzgerald, a longtime Arizona Cardinals and current NFL free agent, is thrilled to be a piece of the action.

"I am so excited. It's something I've watched since its inception," Fitzgerald said during a Bleacher Report AMA. "To be able to see the different players is something I really enjoy as a spectator. As an avid golfer, to be able to see some of the guys you really admire."

Barkley was a little less enthused about being replaced by Brady.

"I'm just disgusted by Phil Mickelson," Barkley quipped on the Dan Patrick Show (at the 15:00 mark).

Barkley was joking, of course, and went on to say he believes Brady is one of the greatest athletes of all time. On Tuesday, we'll find out whether Brady is good enough to best Rodgers on the golf course.
