NFL Playoff Picture 2022: Week 16 Wild-Card Hunt, Standings and Super Bowl Odds

The AFC West continues to be dominated by the Kansas City Chiefs. And once again, they'll be heading to the NFL playoffs as one of the front-runners to win a championship.
On Sunday, the Chiefs clinched their seventh consecutive AFC West title with a 30-24 overtime victory over the Houston Texans. Kansas City joined the San Francisco 49ers (NFC West) and Minnesota Vikings (NFC North) as teams that have secured division titles this season, and they each clinched during Week 15.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys will keep battling for the NFC East title, but they've each already secured a playoff berth. The Cowboys clinched on Sunday night with the Washington Commanders' loss to the New York Giants. The Buffalo Bills also secured a spot in the postseason with their win over the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night.
With nearly all of the Week 15 action complete (all that remains is a Monday night matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers), here's a look at the latest Super Bowl odds and the updated playoff picture for both the AFC and NFC.

Although the Bills haven't yet clinched the AFC East title, it shouldn't be much longer before they do so. They have a three-game lead over the Dolphins, and two of their final three matchups of the regular season are against teams that are .500 or worse.
Buffalo and Kansas City continue to battle for the No. 1 seed in the AFC, but Cincinnati is only one game back of those two teams. The Bengals defeated the Buccaneers on Sunday and now have a one-game advantage in the AFC North.
But the Ravens are firmly still in the AFC North race. They even control their own destiny, because if they win in Cincinnati in Week 18, they'll have swept the season series against the Bengals. So their one-game deficit could easily be overcome.
The Titans' AFC South lead keeps getting smaller, as they suffered their fourth consecutive loss on Sunday when they fell to the Chargers. With the Jaguars beating the Cowboys in overtime, Jacksonville is only one game back of Tennessee in that division. And the Jags could sweep the season series against the Titans if they win in Week 18.
Los Angeles moved up into a wild-card spot with its win over Tennessee, and it's in a great spot to make a push into the postseason. The Chargers' final three games of the regular season are all against teams with losing records.
The Dolphins have moved down to the No. 7 seed, but they still control their own destiny, as they're a game ahead of both the Patriots and Jets, their AFC East rivals. Miami will play New England and New York in Weeks 17 and 18, respectively, and those matchups could have a huge impact on which teams from the division end up making it to the playoffs.

The entire NFC East remains in playoff positions at the end of the week. The Eagles and Cowboys have clinched their spots, although they're continuing to battle for the division title. And the Giants won a crucial game vs. the Commanders to move up to the No. 6 spot.
Washington is still in the No. 7 seed, but it has a difficult path ahead. Its final three regular-season games are against San Francisco, Cleveland and Dallas, and it will need to hold off Seattle and Detroit in order to reach the postseason.
The Eagles remain in a great spot to land the No. 1 seed, as they're two games ahead of every other team in the NFC. The Vikings and 49ers may have clinched division titles, but they'll need Philadelphia to falter to have a chance to try to get the lone first-round bye from the conference.
The Lions have emerged as a legitimate wild-card contender by winning six of their past seven games, including Sunday's road matchup against the Jets. Their final three regular-season contests will be against the Panthers, Bears and Packers, a trio of teams with sub-.500 records.
In the NFC South, the Buccaneers are 6-8, yet remain in first place, a game ahead of the Panthers, Saints and Falcons. Tampa Bay is still in control, and it closes the regular season with favorable matchups against Arizona, Carolina and Atlanta.
The Cardinals were eliminated from playoff contention with their loss to the Broncos on Sunday. The Rams, who are the defending Super Bowl champions, could join them Monday night, as they'd be eliminated with a loss to the Packers.
