AEW Rampage Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from December 2

Welcome to Bleacher Report's coverage and recap of All Elite Wrestling Rampage on December 2.

Jeff Jarrett was back in action this week alongside Jay Lethal in a tag team match against Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy.

In addition to interviews with Saraya, Athena, Swerve in Our Glory and The Acclaimed, we also saw members of The Factory in two different matches.

Cole Karter battled Darby Allin, and QT Marshall got a shot at the All-Atlantic Championship when he faced Orange Cassidy.

Let's take a look at what happened during Friday's show.

Rampage opened with Allin making his entrance. Carter and the Factory were already at ringside. For some reason, Nick Comoroto got into the ring before the match began, so Allin beat him down with Sting's signature baseball bat.

He took out Carter before he could get into the ring by hitting a huge suicide dive. Carter is less experienced but still had a size and power advantage in this match, so he was able to take control after he regained his composure.

For the next several minutes, the young gun of The Factory had the 29-year-old star on the ropes. He hit a series of textbook wrestling moves to get a handful of near-falls before and during the commercial break.

Allin was able to hit a modified Scorpion Death Drop before hitting his own signature Coffin Drop for the win. While this match had a few moments that showed Carter's inexperience, it was definitely an entertaining and energetic performance from both men.

Winner: Darby Allin

Grade: C+

Notable Moments and Observations

• Being the guy who has to catch Allin when he hits a suicide dive never looks like fun. 
• Allin kept his baggy jacket on for the first few minutes of the match. Carter took it off of him as he hit an Irish whip. 
• Carter has a nice standing dropkick. He hit Allin right on the top of the chest to send him out of the ring. 
• Carter hit a nice spinning elbow strike that Allin sold perfectly. 
• The falcon arrow Carter hit from the corner did not have the best landing. Allin landed more on his leg than he did on the mat. 

The Acclaimed were supposed to have an interview with Renee Paquette, but it turned into a big standoff on the stage. The Gunn Club came out first, but they were quickly joined by Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarret, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh.

Billy Gunn said they wanted to face the best, and this brought out FTR with their three sets of tag titles to have a standoff with the AEW tag team champions. They shook hands, so it looks like FTR will get the next shot at the AEW tag titles.

Lethal and Jarrett stuck around for their match against Private Party. Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy had Matt Hardy by their side for support.

Double J and Lethal controlled the pace against Kassidy for a little while, but it didn't take long before Quen came in for some of their trademark double-team offense.

This match unfolded the way you would expect. Lethal and Jarrett used some dirty tactics and their veteran experience to control most of the action, but Private Party kept finding ways to stay in the fight. It had some fun moves, but this match felt random.

Quen stood out the most for his high-flying antics, but he was the one who ended up being pinned by Lethal in the end.

Winners: Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal

Grade: C+

Notable Moments and Observations

• The standoff with FTR and The Acclaimed had a pretty anticlimactic ending. The Gunn Club didn't need to be out there, either. 
• Kassidy had some individual success earlier this year. Quen should get the same treatment. He is very good when he gets going. 
• It felt like most of this match happened during the commercial break. 

Athena took on Dani Mo in the third match of the night. She dominated Mo with several high-impact moves right away. When she was unable to get the pin, she got in the ref's face.

She quickly hit her finisher for the win, but she wasn't quite done with her opponent. She picked her up and dumped her out of the ring.

From a storytelling standpoint, this worked. It made Athena look like a ruthless competitor who doesn't care who she has to hurt to get ahead. When it comes to the content of the match, it was a basic squash. What they did looked good, they just didn't do much.

Winner: Athena

Grade: C

Notable Moments and Observations

• The running knee Athena hit with Mo's head against the steel steps looked nasty in the best possible way. 
• Athena's finisher is one of those moves that looks cool when it is performed perfectly, but if it's even off by an inch, it looks awkward. 

The main event of the night was a Lumberjack match between Cassidy and Marshall for the All-Atlantic Championship. Both men had their respective stables as part of the lumberjacks, but several other AEW stars were around the ring, too.

The leader of The Factory used his superior technical ability to control the pace, but when Ethan Page told Hardy to attack Cassidy after he was thrown out of the ring, Hardy refused and just helped him back into the ring.

Lumberjack matches can often be distracting because so much is going on at ringside, and this was one of those times. The fight in the ring was definitely the main story, but we saw a couple of different fights taking place among the lumberjacks, too.

Penelope Ford showed up and stood on the apron to distract Cassidy so Kip Sabian could push him off the top rope right into a Diamond Cutter. OC kicked out and hit his finisher for the win to retain his title. Sabian had a smile on his face despite his attack failing to cost Cassidy the match.

Freshly Squeezed dove out of the ring on to Sabian, but the former man in a box easily took him down and beat him up on top of the ramp. The lights went out and came back on to reveal The House of Black in the ring and ready to attack anyone who was dumb enough to be there, too.

This was a decent main event, but there was definitely a lot packed into one segment. The House of Black ending the show by beating up everyone they could get their hands on was a good way to go out.

Winner: Orange Cassidy

Grade: B-

Notable Moments and Observations

• Cassidy trying to get a few extra seconds for the pre-match interview and Mark Henry just refusing to acknowledge him was hilarious. 
• Danhausen wearing a long flannel hoodie and carrying a hatchet makes perfect sense for his character. 
• It's always easy to see why Marshall is such a fixture on Dark. He is so good at making other people look great in the ring. He may never be the kind of big star who wins the AEW world title, but what he brings to the table is just as important. He is helping to shape the future of this company and the business by training and coaching. 
• If AEW is going to use the lights out thing for HOB, then it shouldn't be used for anyone else. It needs to be unique to them for it to matter.
