Humble Bray Wyatt Might Be His Best Version and More WWE and AEW Friday Takes

All Elite Wrestling and WWE have both had a lot going on in recent weeks, so both companies had a lot to address on Friday.
Not only did we get another appearance from the recently rehired Braun Strowman, but we heard from Bray Wyatt for the first time since his return at Extreme Rules during an in-ring promo.
LA Knight finally arrived on the scene to put an end to this Max Dupri nonsense, and we saw more drama unfold between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso.
Over on Rampage, Nyla Rose continued to tote the TBS title that she stole from Jade Cargill as she battled Anna Jay.
Jey Uso and Sami Zayn Can Do No Wrong
Jey and Zayn have had a rough couple of months in terms of getting along for the sake of The Bloodline, but their animosity is our gain.
No matter what they are doing, these two knock it out of the park every time. Jey's facial expressions practically tell a story by themselves, and Zayn's comedic timing is second to none.
The Honorary Uce has made every member of The Bloodline break character by laughing at this point, and it's undeniable that most of the WWE Universe is laughing right along with them.
This feud is going to come to a head at some point, and we will probably see Zayn and Jey fight for their spot in the group. There is a good chance that if it wraps up before the year is out, this ends up being the best non-title feud of 2022.
WWE Brought Back Braun Strowman Without a Plan
Braun Strowman has been back with WWE for several weeks, but he hasn't exactly done much in that time.
Sure, he has beaten some people up and gotten a few big pops, but he has yet to enter into a major storyline or make his intentions crystal clear.
Management is not making an effort to have him chase Roman Reigns or anyone else with a title, so why was he even brought back if not to immediately capitalize on his existing popularity and name recognition?
Johnny Gargano and Cody Rhodes were immediately thrust into feuds when they returned, but with Strowman, it feels like WWE pulled the trigger before having a target to aim at.
This week's SmackDown seemed to hint at a feud between Strowman and Omos, but that is not the kind of storyline that will last long. At some point, The Monster Among Monsters needs to be put back into a prominent position to get the most out of him.
LA Knight Was Meant for WWE
Just one week after Max Dupri abandoned his modeling agent gimmick, he returned as LA Knight to battle his former protege, mån.sôör.
Knight easily dispatched the wannabe model to kickstart his new run under his NXT name, and if this is the first sign of things to come, he has a bright future.
Not only is he an excellent worker in the ring, but Knight can hold his own on the mic with just about anybody. He's funny, but he can also be serious. He hits that right balance to be a versatile character.
With any luck, Knight will quickly find himself in regular rotation on the blue brand. He could even be chasing the IC title by WrestleMania season if things pan out.
This Is the Most Interesting Bray Wyatt Has Ever Been
For the first time since he returned at Extreme Rules, Wyatt took to the ring and spoke to the WWE Universe. But this time, he was not speaking as some outrageous character he had concocted. He was just being himself.
A humbled and emotional Wyatt spoke honestly about the hard times he has been through over the past year and how close he was to giving all of it up, but he credited the crowd for always finding him and bringing him back.
It was surreal to see a man who has spent the majority of his time in WWE as a twisted character open up and talk to the crowd about what he was feeling.
However, the promo was interrupted by a short video that ended with Wyatt's new logo to close the show. It was an interesting cliffhanger to leave us on and is definitely going to keep the crowd guessing.
What we still don't know is how much of the man we saw on Friday will be part of the show. Was this a one-time thing that WWE allowed him to do in order to thank the fans for having his back? Was it an indication that he may have another kind of split-personality type gimmick?
Whatever it is, a lot of people are going to be glued to their TVs every time he makes an appearance. This is easily the most interesting he has felt in years, so let's hope that continues.
Babyface Nyla Rose Is Money
It has been a somewhat slow turn, but Nyla Rose seems to officially be a babyface now alongside Vickie Guerrero and Marina Shafir, and it's working.
Anyone who follows The Native Beast on Twitter knows that she is one of the funniest people in all of AEW, and allowing her to show that side of herself is the best way to use her right now.
She spent the first three years of AEW's existence as a heel who often dominated her opponents, but she eventually started to fade into the background as stars like Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker rose up through the ranks.
Now, Rose is back in the spotlight in a feud with the current TBS champion, Jade Cargill. She stole the title belt last week and has been taunting the champ ever since.
The women's division in AEW definitely needs some work, but having Rose as both a longstanding member of the roster and a top babyface is going to open the door for some interesting possible feuds.
