Final AEW All Out 2022 Picks for Jon Moxley vs. CM Punk and Full Match Card

AEW All Out 2022 airing tonight on B/R looks to be a can't-miss event for All Elite Wrestling's future.

CM Punk gets a shot at redemption against Jon Moxley, an interim women's world champion and the inaugural trios champions will be crowned, and over a dozen other matches will be action-packed and could steal the show.

Before this loaded event kicks off with the Zero Hour pre-show, let's run down the card one last time for a final round of predictions as we pick who will walk away victorious at All Out!

Zero Hour Matches

Four matches are set for the pre-show, with three titles on the line.

Hook will undoubtedly retain the FTW Championship over Angelo Parker. The title is his lineage, as his father created it. He might as well retire with it and nothing at all points in the direction of Parker gaining it.

Nothing is stopping Kip Sabian from winning the All-Atlantic Championship from Pac, but it is unlikely. Pac is out of the United States often and a perfect representative of that title, defending it regularly across various promotions. Pac has shown no signs of slowing down, either.

Rather than continuing his feud with Sammy Guevara, Eddie Kingston is having a relatively random exhibition against Tomohiro Ishii. It isn't outside the realm of possibility for the outsider to win, but it does no benefit to the AEW roster to see one of its own lose.

Meanwhile, Guevara is teaming with Tay Melo in what will likely be a successful defense of the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship, as the belts have much more focus on them than if they were to go to Ruby Soho and Ortiz.

Predictions: Hook, Pac, Kingston, Guevara and Melo win.

AEW World Trios Championship Tournament Final

"Hangman" Adam Page's relationship with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega has seen its ups and downs over the years but was heading toward a possible reconciliation as of late.

Now, that will be tested as he teams with Alex Reynolds and John Silver to back up Dark Order against The Elite in a hopeful bid to become the first-ever trios champions.

As great as they are, Dark Order and Page don't have the same synergy as Omega has with The Young Bucks, nor are they on the same level of overall importance to the company.

It makes more sense to put these belts on the map with the group whose namesake is built into All Elite Wrestling as a whole.

Prediction: The Elite win.

Trios Match: FTR and Wardlow vs. Jay Lethal and Motor City Machine Guns

If the game plan is to milk this for more matches to come, Jay Lethal and The Motor City Machine Guns winning gives them all justifiable reasons to challenge for the titles in FTR's and Wardlow's possession.

However, Wardlow's already beaten Lethal. That feud doesn't need to continue. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin could fight FTR down the line—particularly at an ROH event—even while losing, and fans would be pumped.

That is, if they're even in an agreement to show up again. They're on loan and not part of the AEW or ROH rosters. This could very well be a one-off just for a special attraction.

With that in mind, along with Wardlow's dominance and the continued focus on FTR as the best tag team out there, the champions are the favorites.

Prediction: FTR and Wardlow win.

Casino Ladder Match

History has shown that anyone can win a Casino ladder match or Casino Battle Royale, as the winner's title shot holds nowhere near the same value as something like the Royal Rumble winner going on to the main event of WrestleMania.

Whether it is CM Punk or Jon Moxley holding the belt by the end of the night, any of these men could win this match, get a random title shot on an episode of Dynamite or Rampage, and AEW will move on like nothing ever happened.

Don't count out someone like Wheeler Yuta getting an upset just to fight Punk for the sake of it, or Andrade El Idolo to do the same.

But when there's a mystery opponent with the Joker entrant coming into the match last, and it could be anyone—including a returning MJF or a brand new signing—it is too difficult not to imagine that person has the advantage.

Prediction: The Joker wins.

Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho

The key to this match is whether Daniel Garcia will stay in The Jericho Appreciation Society or continue his path toward leaving that group, which has been heavily implied over the past few weeks.

The obvious outcome is Garcia interfering to prevent Chris Jericho from cheating, leading to Bryan Danielson scoring a win. Then, Garcia will feud with Jericho coming out of this and could even wind up joining Blackpool Combat Club, which was supposedly an early idea, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

If Jericho wins, Garcia's recent struggles will be negated and the story will effectively be over with no resolution.

Prediction: Danielson wins.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match

The Acclaimed are one of the most popular tag team acts in AEW who should certainly win the titles at some point, but this will not be that night.

They haven't even been feuding with Swerve in Our Glory. Their focus has been on Austin and Colten Gunn, who could very easily show up here, interfere and cost The Acclaimed the win.

This feels much less like the transition to new champions and a crowning moment of Anthony Bowens and Max Caster and more like two popular teams being put on the card against each other to make sure they appear on the pay-per-view in general. Essentially, The Acclaimed got the title shot because they should have a fun rap and lose to Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee, who had no one else lined up to beat.

Prediction: Swerve in Our Glory wins.

Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy

By the end of this feud, Jungle Boy needs to walk out the winner, achieving proper vengeance over Christian Cage's betrayal and insensitive remarks about Jack Perry's family.

However, who's to say this is the end of that feud? It might even be just the first stage.

Luchasaurus is a dangling thread. He may be in the back pocket of Cage after all for a double-swerve, wherein he'll pop up here and cost Jungle Boy the match.

That would allow for a continuation of this feud, wherein Jungle Boy sidesteps, fights Luchasaurus and works his way back to Cage for something like Full Gear to get the ultimate victory, winning the war, but not this battle.

Prediction: Cage wins.

Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

Ricky Starks has every right to win this match, similar to how Jungle Boy should inevitably beat Cage. But the bigger goal of this shouldn't be the babyface getting vengeance. It needs to be a feud that launches Powerhouse Hobbs into the next tier of the roster hierarchy.

He's been in the shadow of Starks all throughout his tenure on Team Taz. Starks was the mouthpiece to bring attention to Hobbs, who would take care of the physical business.

That size differential should give Hobbs the edge to win. Starks can much more easily take the loss, cut a promo and still bounce back without losing ground from the audience, whereas if Hobbs loses, it will be harder to continue climbing the ladder of success.

Hobbs should be built up to eventually challenge Wardlow for the TNT Championship. The only way to do that is to give him wins over guys like Starks.

Prediction: Hobbs wins.

Trios Match: Miro, Darby Allin and Sting vs. House of Black

The House of Black looks intimidating and sounds like an immense thread on paper, but hasn't quite lived up to that potential yet.

Whenever it is an important match, the group folds. This is starting to put them in a position where those three really need to win this—and yet, they probably will still come up short once more.

The standout person in this feud is Miro. He's the driving force of this going anywhere in the future. Darby Allin and Sting have feuded with House of Black long enough that if they get a win here, they can move on and allow Miro to continue this story in other ways.

If House of Black wins, we'll just see this match happen again. What's the fun in that, versus just rewatching this?

Prediction: Miro, Sting and Allin win.

AEW TBS Championship Match

Jade Cargill is the Goldberg of AEW's women's division. Her undefeated streak has already made her stand out above the rest, as if she wasn't already taller and had more star presence than most to begin with.

Athena, while a former women's champion in WWE, doesn't have the momentum to be the one to take Cargill down a peg. She comes off more like a notable name for the champion to retain against, rather than the end of this unbeatable journey.

If more had been done to build Athena up as a particularly dangerous threat, it would be more believable. Unless the plan is to play this off like an underdog victory Athena got lucky with, it is hard to imagine she'll capture this title.

Stranger things have happened, but history has shown betting on Cargill is essentially a guarantee win.

Prediction: Cargill wins.

Interim AEW Women's World Championship Match

Thunder Rosa was originally scheduled to face Toni Storm, but an injury has caused the champion to be sidelined for an indeterminate amount of time.

Her absence has led to an interim championship opportunity for Storm, along with Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter and Hikaru Shida to fill that gap until Rosa returns.

Plans often change in wrestling, and when a match is adjusted like this, the promoter frequently goes with a new idea to avoid being predictable. That could mean anyone but Storm is walking out the winner, if not just to surprise audiences.

But since Storm was the original solo challenger who could have been scheduled to beat Rosa outright, it makes sense to give her the interim title now and do that planned match down the road, rather than take an unnecessary detour.

Prediction: Storm wins.

AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley vs. CM Punk

Even in Chicago, Jon Moxley will have his fair share of supporters rooting him on, but it will be in vain.

The story being told here is Punk sucking up all the pain, gritting his teeth and regaining the confidence to go out there and win his title back, all because he has the support of being the hometown hero.

It would be quite the swerve to see him fail and set up a heel turn, which would be infinitely more interesting to watch unfold, versus the safe bet, which is that Tony Khan wants to end this show with the crowd erupting with cheers, not boos that would position Moxley more of a villain going forward.

Moxley had his title reign, plus a bonus one with Punk's injury. It is now time to get back on track and tell the story of AEW World Champion CM Punk as Khan intended several months back.

Prediction: Punk wins.
