10 Released WWE Superstars Triple H Should Consider Bringing Back

We have officially entered a new era of WWE programming. Not only are the weekly shows and pay-per-views now being listed as TV-14 instead of TV-PG, but Triple H has also taken the reins of the creative team.

The last few weeks of programming have shown an immediate shift, and fans have taken notice in a big way.

We are getting a greater emphasis on in-ring action and coherent storytelling; midcard titles feel important again; the women's tag titles are being brought back; and certain people are already being repackaged.

Another big change is the rehiring of several stars who were released over the past few years. Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dexter Lumis and Hit Row have all made appearances since SummerSlam, and fans are expecting more people to be rehired.

The problem is some of the released stars have already signed with other companies like All Elite Wrestling, but plenty of names are still available for WWE to bring back.

Let's look at 10 stars who are not signed to All Elite Wrestling and could wind up back with WWE in the near future.

Persia Pirotta

Since being released in April, Persia Pirotta has kept a relatively low profile. Other than a few indie matches and interviews, she has not popped up in a major promotion, and that is good news for WWE.

The women's division needs new blood, especially in NXT. Whether the 25-year-old returns as Pirotta or under her real name of Stephanie De Landre, she would be a great asset.

Her storyline with Indi Hartwell was one of the few tolerable things when NXT 2.0 first launched, so it's clear she has value as a performer.

Bringing Pirotta back for a reunion with Hartwell to beef up the women's tag team scene would be the ideal scenario, but she could also easily find success as a solo act if management gave her the right opportunity.

Johnny Gargano

From the moment Johnny Gargano let his contract expire with WWE, he has been one of the hottest free agents in the world of pro wrestling.

Most people either request their release or are released before their deal expires, so Gargano allowing his to run out and agreeing to a short extension to wrap up some storylines caught a lot of people by surprise.

However, the 35-year-old has not been in a rush to sign with anybody. His wife, Candice LeRae, gave birth to their first child in February, and the new dad is enjoying his time with his family while weighing his options carefully.

AEW, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Impact would all jump at the chance to sign him, but with Triple H in control of the creative side of the company now, Johnny Wrestling might just end up re-signing with WWE in the end.

If Gargano does go back, he would likely head straight to the main roster.

Candice LeRae

Much like Gargano, Candice LeRae is among the hottest free agents in the world right now, so she likely has plenty of options to consider.

WWE would be lucky to have her because The Poison Pixie is not only one of the most well-regarded talents from her time in NXT, but she is also one of the most experienced.

With almost 20 years of time in the industry, the 36-year-old is a veteran who has worked with opponents at every level. If she wants to, she can keep wrestling for several years before transitioning into the role of a trainer or producer when it's time to hang up her boots.

Whether she returns to WWE or not, fans are going to be excited to see LeRae step back into the ring when it finally happens.

Erick Rowan

Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Erick Rowan in WWE, has made a handful of appearances for AEW without being under any kind of long-term commitment.

The former Wyatt Family member is someone who could add a lot of value to any roster as either a singles competitor or tag team specialist, so it would not be surprising if WWE tried to pursue him again.

Not only is the 40-year-old a talented powerhouse and giant of a man, but he has gotten himself into better shape over the past couple of years. His last AEW appearance showed a slimmer Redbeard than we ever saw in WWE.

He was moving quicker, hitting more moves and looked thrilled to be performing in front of fans again. If WWE came knocking, he would be wise to consider its offer, especially if he and Wyatt end up doing something together again.

Tyler Breeze

Tyler Breeze is going to be one of those wrestlers who never truly gets the flowers he deserves until after he retires because WWE never put a singles title on him.

Despite being only a one-time NXT tag team champion alongside Fandango, he is arguably one of the most valuable people WWE had in its employ for several years because he did more than just put on good matches.

Sure, he was great in the ring, but he was also putting in work at the Performance Center to help train recruits while being one of the most entertaining characters in the entire company.

When he and Fandango were doing The Fashion Files, it was often regarded as the best part of WWE programming every week it aired. They struck gold with those segments, and while it would be foolish to think the company could just recreate that with the same gimmick, he is still capable of doing something else that could be even better.

Prince Pretty, 34, is somebody who could be a valuable asset for years to come thanks to his in-ring skills, comedic timing, veteran experience and willingness to put others over for the sake of the storyline.

Fandango

If WWE did consider bringing Breeze back, Fandango would also have to be in consideration simply because The Fashion Police would be a welcome addition to the tag team scene.

Dirty Dango could also be used as a solo act, but both men were at their most popular as a team. The fact that they only won a single set of tag titles in NXT feels criminal.

Fandango, 39, is big enough to hang with powerhouses and athletic enough to keep up with the cruiserweights. He is very versatile in the ring and has proved his ability to be a great comedic performer when the need arises.

He can be a mentor to the younger talents while still being somebody WWE can rely on for a great match. There's no real downside to bringing him back.

Bray Wyatt

Speculation about Bray Wyatt returning to WWE has been rampant since the day he left last April, but he has remained relatively quiet on the matter.

Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, doesn't seem to be in a rush to sign with a new company, so it's possible he has been taking time to himself and waiting for the right time to return.

The former WWE champion, 35, would be welcomed back by the fans with open arms, especially if he picked up where he left off.

Not only would Wyatt's unique character help add some variety back to WWE programming, but there are also several new faces on the main roster with whom he can feud.

The only hiccup could be if he has no desire to return to WWE or wrestle anymore, but if the right offer was made, he would likely consider it.

Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane has been lauded for her wrestling ability and likable persona ever since she debuted with WWE in 2017, so the company would be foolish not to try getting her back.

Her in-ring ability has never been in question. Even before coming to WWE, the 33-year-old was often cited as one of the best talents in the Stardom promotion.

The Pirate Princess has a loyal fanbase from her time in NXT and the short period she spent on the main roster, so the creative team wouldn't need to repackage or reintroduce her to the crowd.

Sane has appeared a few times for Stardom since allowing her WWE contract to expire in December, but she doesn't appear to have signed any kind of exclusive deal, so there's a good chance Triple H has already put in a call to her.

Matt Cardona

While he may be injured at the moment, it would be hard to find anyone who has left WWE and made a bigger name for themselves than Matt Cardona.

After his initial rise to fame in WWE when his YouTube show took off, the former Zack Ryder found himself being all but forgotten by management toward the end of his run.

When it came time to take his career into his own hands, Cardona became a machine. He worked for several promotions and won titles in just about every one of them, making him one of the most decorated champions on the independent scene.

The 37-year-old has the loyalty of the hardcore fanbase while still being memorable to the casual fan. It would probably be better to bring him back under his real name than using the Ryder persona, but that would be up to him and WWE.

Cardona has the look, drive and skills to be anything Triple H needs him to be, but whether he wants to go back is the biggest question. He might be happier working on his own schedule, so it's tough to say how likely a return might be at this point.

Chelsea Green

Much like her real-life partner, Matt Cardona, Chelsea Green's career has exploded since being released from WWE in April 2021.

She has appeared for Ring of Honor, Impact, Game Changer Wrestling and some smaller promotions while building her name and reputation.

Whether she returns alongside her husband as a package deal or on her own, Green would be a great addition to a women's roster that has needed a bit of fresh blood for some time.

The 31-year-old has just about everything WWE looks for in a Superstar. She has the physical ability, a marketable look, tons of charisma and a built-in following.

Unless Green is signed to an exclusive deal already, she would be a prime candidate for Triple H to approach for a return.

The names on this list are just a handful of the people who have been released by WWE in recent years who would all be valuable if brought back, but they're not the only ones.

Who would you like to see return to WWE now that Triple H is running the creative side of the product?
