Fantasy Baseball 2021: Sleeper Hitters and Pitchers for MLB Week 11

Cleveland may be the best Major League Baseball team to target for fantasy baseball sleepers in the next week.

Terry Francona's team has won four of its last five contests, and it plays the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates in the next five games.

Cleveland's offense has produced five or more runs during the winning run against the Orioles and Seattle Mariners. With another weak opponent ahead on the schedule, Cesar Hernandez and a few other hitters are worth a look.

Jose Ramirez and Eddie Rosario should be the only two Cleveland hitters with a decent-sized roster percentage, so you should find some waiver-wire gems for at least the next few days.

Cesar Hernandez, 2B, Cleveland

Hernandez is one of the better leadoff hitters to call on for reaching base and a sprinkle of power.

The Cleveland second baseman has hit safely in three of his last four games, and he has a pair of home runs in June.

In total, Hernandez has 10 long balls to go along with his 53 hits and 41 runs. His RBI total is low at 21 because there are not many runners on base when he goes deep.

Hernandez's waiver-wire intrigue comes with the hits and the pair of weak matchups he has left in Week 11. He has two games left with Baltimore at home before heading to Pittsburgh for three.

The 31-year-old does not project as a season-long starter at second base in most fantasy baseball leagues, but he could provide you with an edge in head-to-head matchups for at least the next week.

Bobby Bradley, 1B/DH, Cleveland

Cleveland's favorable schedule calls for two waiver-wire suggestions for the rest of the week.

Bobby Bradley could be on your roster longer than Hernandez if he continues the hot streak he has been on since his season debut on June 5.

Bradley has started 11-for-25 and he hit two home runs in his first four appearances in the middle of the Cleveland order.

Hitting behind Jose Ramirez and Eddie Rosario should help Bradley's RBI totals. He already had a trio of multi-RBI performances.

The left-handed hitter has 23 at-bats against right-handed hurlers and two versus lefties, so it is hard to get a true feel on his splits just yet.

The majority of Pittsburgh's starting pitchers are right-handed and lefty Tyler Anderson started in Washington on Tuesday so he might not be involved in the series.

Bradley is available in 91 percent of Yahoo fantasy baseball leagues, and he could be a keeper in the coming weeks if he proves he can hit with power against some of Cleveland's tougher opponents.

Ryan Jeffers, C, Minnesota

This is an American League Central-centric edition of waiver-wire additions.

Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers has been consistent at the dish during his extended time in the starting lineup.

Jeffers started June with three two-hit games in his first five games, and he reached base through a hit in each of his last two games.

The previous two contests brought about some promising signs. He did not strike out in eight at-bats.

That is still a small sample size, but if he puts the ball in play on a regular basis, he has a larger chance to be productive as a second catcher, or a streaming option on fantasy rosters.

After Wednesday's series finale in Seattle, Jeffers and the Twins visit the Texas Rangers, who are dead last in the AL West and have a -59 run differential.

Jeffers and the entire Minnesota lineup could feast on Texas' pitching from Friday-Sunday, and he could be a decent addition for the rest of the week.

Tony Gonsolin, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Tony Gonsolin's return from the injured list has not been as productive as some would have hoped.

The Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander is working his way back into a heavy workload instead of throwing six or seven innings off the bat.

Gonsolin gave up two earned runs on six runs over 5.1 innings against Pittsburgh and the Philadelphia Phillies.

The length of Gonsolin's appearances should get longer as he starts more, so you should not be too concerned about those two starts.

Gonsolin's 2020 numbers are better indicators of what he can produce, and why he is valuable waiver-wire addition if he is available in your leagues (available in 39 percent of Yahoo leagues).

Gonsolin had a 2.31 ERA and opposing hitters recorded a .193 batting average against him over nine appearances.

If he reverts back to that form, Gonsolin should be a nice addition to your pitching staff.
