Fantasy Basketball 2021: Daily Fantasy Tips for Monday's NBA Playoffs

The Philadelphia 76ers are one win away from a first-round sweep of the Washington Wizards thanks to the play of Joel Embiid.

The NBA Most Valuable Player candidate did anything he wanted during his 36-point Game 3 performance that gave him a new single-game playoff best in points.

Philadelphia is expected to play at a similar dominant level in Monday's Game 4, which makes Embiid a perfect target to be a daily fantasy basketball star.

Since there are only two games on Monday's slate, Embiid will come with a high roster percentage. If you can build the right collection of guards and forwards around him, you could land in the prize-winning positions.

The best way to ensure your roster is competitive Monday is to surround Embiid with some of the three-point shooters in the Utah Jazz lineup. Utah is shooting 38.8 percent from three-point range in its series with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Center might be the deepest position in terms of high-end quality on Monday's two-game slate.

Embiid, Rudy Gobert and Jonas Valanciunas all have salaries of $8,000 or higher in FanDuel's main slate contest.

The Philadelphia center is worth paying up for at $10,200 because he should outscore Gobert and Valanciunas by a decent margin.

Embiid is averaging 29.3 points per game against the Wizards, while Gobert is at 15.7 points per game and Valanciunas sits at 14.3.

In Game 3, Embiid produced 36 points, eight rebounds, three steals, two assists and knocked down three of his four three-point shots.

If he is that effective across all stat categories in Game 4, Embiid could have the highest point total of any player in FanDuel contests.

You could make an argument to use Gobert and Valanciunas as contrarian picks at center, and some players probably will, but you are likely giving up around 10-15 points by doing so.

On a two-game slate that presents little margin for error, Embiid has to be the play at center to ensure you get one of the top point-earners on your roster.

Utah has five players hit seven or more three-point shots through three games against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Mike Conley's seven three-pointers from Game 3 boosted him to the top of the list with 13, Royce O'Neale has nine and the trio of Bojan Bogdanovic, Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles have seven each.

Jordan Clarkson is seventh on the team in three-point shots made in the series, but he is second in attempts behind Conley.

Clarkson knocked down a few three-pointers in Game 3, and he could be the Utah player to build around when it comes to outside shooting.

With a high three-point shooting volume and a $5,600 FanDuel salary, Clarkson could be a strong value play at point guard if you want to bypass Russell Westbrook or Ben Simmons.

In fact, a pairing of Conley ($8,100) and Clarkson at point guard could set up your roster for success and give you plenty of flexibility to work with for other positions.

A four-man stack involving Conley, Clarkson, Mitchell and either O'Neale or Bogdanovic gives you the ability to select all players with a salary of $4,000 or above.

Conley has the highest salary of Utah's shooters, and if you at least put together him, Clarkson and Mitchell, there is room to add enough value plays from the other three teams.

One potential scenario could have the three Utah guards, Embiid and Dillon Brooks together while mixing in lower-salaried players, like Danny Green, Rui Hachimura and Jaren Jackson Jr.

You should be in good shape as long as you add two of Utah's best shooters since the volume and value is there to take advantage of.
