Winners and Losers from WWE's Post-WrestleMania 37 Booking Thus Far

WrestleMania 37 had its highs and lows, but people seemed happy with how most of the event went. The WWE Universe was back in attendance, several Superstars scored the biggest win of their career, and we saw a handful of memorable matches.

We also saw a few titles change hands. Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks to win the SmackDown Women's Championship, Apollo Crews won the intercontinental title from Big E, AJ Styles and Omos became the new Raw tag team champions, and Sheamus captured the United States belt from Riddle.

While the pay-per-view was a high point, WWE has been struggling to keep up its momentum in the weeks since April 10-11. Raw has definitely suffered more than SmackDown in that regard.

Even the people who won at The Show of Shows are having a difficult time, and they should be the ones who are the easiest to push this time of year.

Let's take a look at some of the winners and losers from WWE's post-'Mania booking decisions. 

Bobby Lashley retained the WWE Championship at WrestleMania in a brutal match against Drew McIntyre, but he has been in no hurry to put the belt on the line again.

In fact, The All Mighty took two weeks off after The Showcase of the Immortals. He returned on Monday looking as confident as ever, but he also showed some anger at the idea of having to potentially face McIntyre and Braun Strowman at WrestleMania Backlash.

Getting a win over The Scottish Warrior at 'Mania was a big indicator that WWE intends to keep him strong, so if he retains at Backlash, he will have defeated two of the most dangerous stars on the Raw roster. If that doesn't solidify him as the measuring stick, nothing will. 

Where is Bray Wyatt? Where is The Fiend? Does anyone care anymore?

Randy Orton was able to defeat Wyatt at WrestleMania, but he did it with some unexpected help from Alexa Bliss. The Fiend's former protege distracted him long enough for The Viper to hit the RKO and get the pin.

The Raw after 'Mania featured Wyatt delivering a speech about new beginnings from the Firefly FunHouse, but that was it. We have not seen or heard from him since.

Meanwhile, Bliss is having weekly segments from her playground backstage as she continues to tease changes to her character with cryptic videos and the second-creepiest doll ever made (The creepiest doll was Baby Secret. Look it up. It'll give you chills). 

Wyatt's complete lack of direction seems odd. Had he just disappeared after his loss, nobody would have given it a second thought because he always does that; having him deliver one promo and then disappear indicates WWE doesn't have a roadmap for his character right now. 

McIntyre may have come up short at WrestleMania, but he has been booked as the most likely candidate to dethrone Lashley as WWE champion in recent weeks.

The Scot has been having matches every Monday against other powerhouses like Strowman, Mace and T-Bar, and he has looked great in every encounter.

McIntyre has been a top babyface for well over a year. It took WWE a long time to finally utilize him this way, but it was worth the wait. 

Even if he loses at Backlash, The Scottish Warrior will still be in the hunt for the title because he has earned his spot in the main event. 

Sasha Banks has been MIA since losing the SmackDown women's title to Bianca Belair at 'Mania. No promos, no interviews, no matches. 

This is clearly designed so she can return at some point to either cost The EST of WWE the title or prevent somebody else from winning it so she can fight for it herself.

However, she went from being one of the best things on the blue brand to disappearing without a trace. That is something WWE didn't think through properly.

Allowing Belair to shine as the champ is great, but it's not like WWE can't do that if The Boss is there, too. Bayley will be the next challenger for the SD women's title. Banks has issues with both women, so it's highly likely we see her get involved at Backlash on May 16 in some way. 

Charlotte Flair did not have a match at WrestleMania despite being healthy and ready to compete, but she hasn't let that stop her from calling herself the best in the business.

When she came out on the Raw after 'Mania and gave that first promo, it became clear WWE was ready to push her as a top star again. She also made an impression on the new Raw women's champion when she attacked Rhea Ripley and Asuka the same night.

Attacking an official last week led to a suspension but with some help from Sonya Deville, she was back on Raw this week. She even made the ref she attacked apologize to her. That's how much she intimidates people.

If she has somebody in power like Deville in her corner, The Queen is going to be a force to be reckoned with on Raw. It'll be shocking if she doesn't get a shot at the Raw women's title at Backlash. 

One of the titles to change hands at WrestleMania was the Raw Tag Team Championships, but AJ Styles and Omos haven't been seen since that night. 

This is Omos' first title in WWE and he won it in his first official match as a member of the main roster. Why would WWE not follow up on that with at least one promo?

Anything would suffice. Even a self-recorded video from his car bragging about the win would be better than WWE completely ignoring the duo over the past few weeks. 

There are probably reasons for this that we aren't aware of, but it's still an odd booking decision not to feature two new champions right after 'Mania, especially when one is a top star and the other is a giant who just dominated in his first match. 

Cesaro picked up a huge win over Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, and WWE has been keeping him in and around the main event ever scene.

His feud with The Messiah is clearly going to continue, but he also set up a future program with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. If there was ever a time to push Cesaro as a top competitor, this is it. 

His in-ring skills are among the best in the world, but his promo skills have always held him back a bit. Cesaro has a good personality but he rarely makes as big of an impression with his mic work as he does with his technical ability.

Cesaro's recent alliance with Daniel Bryan has helped, but if The Yes Man loses to Reigns on Friday, he is gone from SmackDown for good. While he would lose a friend, that would make The Swiss Superman the best choice to challenge The Tribal Chief at Backlash.

If they have to make it a Triple Threat so Rollins is included, even better.
