Masters Odds 2021: Locating Top Vegas Bets in Thursday's Field

Brooks Koepka's health is one of the biggest unknowns going into The Masters.

The four-time major winner is a few weeks removed from a knee procedure, and the early reports on his mobility at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia have not been stellar.

Koepka could be one of the most popular golfers to fade to start the tournament since he is just too much of an unknown.

One thing we do know for certain is Jordan Spieth comes into the tournament with a ton of confidence after his win at the Texas Open.

Spieth may not parlay that form into a second green jacket, but he has the potential to come out hot and land a spot near the top of the leaderboard on Thursday.

Bubba Watson (+215) vs. Brooks Koepka and Viktor Hovland

Bubba Watson could be the perfect matchup play on Thursday because of the issues with the other golfers in his threesome.

Koepka was reading greens with his leg not bent, and he may be uncomfortable during the round as he tries to alleviate whatever pain may be in his knee.

Viktor Hovland enters Augusta off a tie for 49th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and a missed cut at The Players Championship. He has four straight rounds of 72 or worse.

Watson is not in immaculate form, but he is a two-time champion at Augusta and is playing after a run into the knockout round of the WGC Match Play.

In his last three Masters starts, Watson recorded a 73, 72 and 74 on Thursday. If he improves that trend by one or two strokes, he could be in an ideal position to card the best score from his group.

Hovland's best score at Augusta is a 71 from the final three rounds in 2019, and Koepka does not appear to be close to 100 percent.

At +215 (bet $100 to win $215), Watson carries some of the best first-round matchup value, which looks even better after you consider his history at Augusta.

Jordan Spieth Top 20 After Round 1 (+100)

Spieth is one of the favorites to win The Masters because of his recent form on the PGA Tour.

The three-time major winner has four top-10 finishes in stroke-play events, and he advanced to the knockout round of the WGC Match Play.

Since the Masters field is loaded with previous major winners and the top golfers in the world, Spieth may have a tough time cracking the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.

Instead of waiting to see if he wins outright on Sunday, it is worth riding his momentum with a first-round prop to finish in the top 20.

The top-20 first-round finish does not have the best value at even money, but it could be the easy play since Spieth is more than capable of delivering low rounds at Augusta.

Spieth opened the 2018 event with a 66 and finished it with a 64 to land in third place. He also had a 68-69 Friday and Saturday in 2019.

At some point, Spieth's confidence from winning the Texas Open may wear off, or he will be overtaken by other top golfers, but at least for Thursday, it is worth riding his recent wave of confidence.
