Updated AEW Revolution Match Card Predictions Including Jericho vs. Moxley

All Elite Wrestling is gearing up for its next pay-per-view in Chicago on February 29, Revolution. With only one episode of Dynamite left between now and then, AEW needs to get to work on filling up the rest of the card.
After Wednesday's show, the PPV only has four confirmed matches. Here is a quick rundown of what we know will take place at Revolution so far:
- MJF vs. Cody
- Kenny Omega and Adam Page vs. The Young Bucks (AEW Tag Team Championships)
- Jake Hager vs. Dustin Rhodes
- Chris Jericho vs. Jon Moxley (AEW World Championship)
The women's title is not on the card yet but Kris Statlander and Britt Baker have emerged as the two top contenders for Nyle Rose's belt.
Let's take a look at each of the four announced matches and make some predictions.
Cody Rhodes vs. MJF
While Jericho and Moxley are fighting for the top prize in AEW, the feud between MJF and Cody feels more important because of their past.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman stabbed Rhodes in the back at Full Gear and cost him any future shots at the world title in the process. Needless to say, The American Nightmare felt betrayed on multiple levels.
He mentored MJF and stuck up for him when anyone pointed out how he was a villain. We all saw this betrayal coming from a mile away but AEW still managed to make it interesting.
Cody is one of the top stars in the company but based on his record up to this point, he seems happy to help build others up rather than put himself over.
For that reason, MJF is the projected winner here. Cody and AEW want him to be the biggest heel in the business and having him beat his former best friend after putting him through so much is going to make him the most hated man in wrestling.
Adam Page and Kenny Omega vs. Young Bucks
Friends will do battle when Nick and Matt Jackson take on Omega and Page for the AEW tag titles. Well, three of them are friends, anyway.
Page has been having a lot of issues with his former associates in The Elite and despite working well with Omega most of the time, this is like a powder keg just waiting to be lit.
If there was ever a time to cement The Cowboy's status as a heel, it would be at this event. Turning on Omega and costing them the tag belts just so he doesn't have to be his partner anymore is what will kickstart their feud.
Omega vs. Page feels like one of AEW's next big storylines. The Bucks will hesitate to capitalize but they will still walk out with the AEW World Tag Team Championships after Page turns his partner inside out with a Buckshot Lariat.
AEW has been slowly building to this for weeks and the payoff should lead to some great matches down the line.
Jake Hager vs. Dustin Rhodes
On the October 30 episode of Dynamite, Jake Hager slammed Dustin's arm in a car door and broke it. It was meant to send a message to Cody from The Inner Circle but now, Hager finds himself in the crosshairs of a legend.
Dustin is back and he is looking to get his revenge against the man who injured him almost four months ago.
This will be Hager's first official match since joining AEW, so there is a lot of pressure for him to live up to what we know he is capable of from his days in WWE.
Hager has mostly focused on MMA since leaving WWE. This is a test to see if he can still hang with the big boys and there is no better person for him to work with than The Natural.
Like Cody, Dustin appears to be more worried about building up the rest of the roster than he is with making himself look good. Hager winning helps The Inner Circle look more dangerous and that will be worth more for the company than a win for Dustin.
Chris Jericho vs. Jon Moxley
Jericho and Moxley have been on a collision course for several weeks and it all started when Mox turned down Le Champion's offer to join The Inner Circle.
As retribution for his deception, Jericho injured Moxley's eye and forced him to wear an eye patch, but it just makes Moxley look even more dangerous. He's like Snake Pliskin in camo pants.
Some people might criticize AEW for making its world title feud about two former WWE guys but there is a lot of logic behind the decision.
Mox and Jericho are two of the biggest stars in AEW. They are known internationally and will draw more eyes to the product by being in the main event of a PPV together.
Mitch the plant hasn't made any cameos but that is beside the point. This is the hardest match to predict because there are logical reasons for both men to walk out with the title.
Jericho has held the title for six months and has done a great job making it look prestigious during that time. Now, it's time for a babyface to hold the belt and Moxley is the best person for the job.
