The fantasy football playoffs are almost here.

If you're paying enough attention to seek out start-or-sit recommendations, then you likely have at least a shot at scoring a seat at your league's postseason table.

Let's not waste any time, then, and get down to business with a round of start-or-sit calls for Week 14 of the 2022 NFL season.

Start: Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings (at Detroit Lions)

Don't hold Cousins' quiet Week 13 showing too much against him. Sure, you'd want more than 173 passing yards and a touchdown, but he was facing a strong New York Jets defense, and the Vikings enjoyed a comfortable lead for much of that contest.

He'll have a chance to bounce back in a big way on Sunday.

The Lions have allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, per Yahoo. Plus, Cousins has firsthand knowledge of this defense's generosity. He threw for 260 yards and two scores against the Lions earlier this season and last year put up 615 passing yards and three touchdowns in two head-to-head matchups.

Sit: Deshaun Watson, QB, Cleveland Browns (at Cincinnati Bengals)

If you've held out hope with a flier on Watson all season, well, hopefully that's not your only plan of attack at the position.

He played for the first time since 2020 last week and couldn't get anything going against his former team, the Houston Texans. He completed just 12 of his 22 passes for 131 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. He also had seven carries for 21 yards.

Those aren't fantasy-relevant numbers, and it could be tough sledding for the Browns signal-caller again. The Bengals have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks and just limited Patrick Mahomes to a season-low 223 yards on 59.3 percent passing.

Start: Tony Pollard, RB, Dallas Cowboys (vs. Houston Texans)

While Tony Pollard continues sharing backfield duties with Ezekiel Elliott, that hasn't dimmed his fantasy outlook.

Pollard is so explosive that he doesn't need a ton of touches to make a major impact. Last week, he turned 12 carries and two receptions into 106 scrimmage yards and two scores. It was the fourth time this season he's tallied 100-plus scrimmage yards on 15 touches or less.

He should absolutely feast again this weekend with the Texans coming to town. Houston has allowed the most fantasy points to running backs this season and just let Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt combine for 136 rushing yards on 26 carries.

Sit: Gus Edwards, RB, Baltimore Ravens (at Pittsburgh Steelers)

As much as we might all want to focus on fantasy ceilings, you don't want to overlook the significance of a low floor.

Could Edwards have a decent outing this weekend? It's possible. He's had three touchdowns in four games and rushed for 4.9 yards per carry in his first two contests.

Can you comfortably bank on that production, though? Absolutely not. The Ravens ran the ball 28 times on Sunday, and Edwards received just six of those carries. He also didn't exactly force the issue for more, since he managed all of 12 yards on those attempts. And don't forget, he's a complete non-factor in the passing game (zero receptions, two targets all season).

There is too much riding on this week's results to put yourself in the position of relying on Edwards.
