It can be challenging for fantasy football managers to wait on the status of an injured player. You want to be patient and see if their condition improves, but you also have to prepare with pivot options in case they end up being inactive. And that often includes making a late waiver-wire add or two.

As Week 11 of the NFL season nears, there are some key players dealing with injuries who may or may not play. The list includes Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews and plenty of others.

Here are flex rankings for Week 11, followed by a look at some players who could be great waiver-wire targets to potentially help fill the lineup spot of players out because of injury.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, San Francisco 49ers

Fantasy managers waiting to see if Kyler Murray (hamstring injury) suits up for the Cardinals may not learn until Monday night whether he's going to play. Because of that, there's one clear target as a potential pivot option: Jimmy Garoppolo, who is the quarterback on the other side of the Arizona-San Francisco matchup.

Garoppolo is still available in 57 percent of ESPN leagues and 42 percent of Yahoo leagues, per FantasyPros, and he's been a decent fallback option for fantasy managers throughout the season. The 49ers QB isn't likely to put up huge numbers, but he's been solid. Like last week, when he threw for 240 yards and had a rushing touchdown.

This is a good matchup for Garoppolo, as the Cardinals are giving up the sixth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, per NFL.com. And San Francisco's playmakers will likely break off some big plays against a beatable Arizona defense.

As long as you have both of these quarterbacks from Monday night's matchup in Mexico City on your fantasy roster (and not just Murray), then you should be set. Garoppolo is an adequate fill-in who should put up enough points to help your team win.

Parris Campbell, WR, Indianapolis Colts

If any of your key fantasy wide receivers are in danger of not playing this week, Parris Campbell could be a strong choice to insert into your lineup. The Colts made another quarterback change last week, and that has the 25-year-old's stock going back up.

Campbell (available in 56 percent of ESPN leagues and 64 percent of Yahoo leagues, per FantasyPros) wasn't faring well when Indianapolis had Sam Ehlinger under center. But now that Matt Ryan has reclaimed the starting QB role, Campbell should be much more involved in the offense moving forward, as he and Ryan had great chemistry early in the season.

Last week, Ryan returned to action and connected with Campbell seven times for 76 yards in a win over the Las Vegas Raiders. After not getting into the end zone over the previous two weeks, Campbell scored his third touchdown of the year in that victory.

In Week 11, the Colts have a difficult matchup against the Eagles. But Ryan has no trouble getting the ball into Campbell's hands regularly, so the talented WR is still a fine fantasy option if needed.

Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens

When Mark Andrews doesn't play, Isaiah Likely becomes the Ravens' top tight end. So if Andrews (shoulder injury) is out on Sunday, Likely (available in 74 percent of Yahoo leagues and 81 percent of ESPN leagues, per FantasyPros) is a great fantasy pivot option from the same team.

Likely has scored a touchdown in each of Baltimore's past two games while Andrews has been out. Although Likely had only one catch for 24 yards in the Ravens' Week 9 win over the New Orleans Saints, it was a difficult matchup for a tight end, so it was still impressive that he got into the end zone in that game.

This week, Baltimore is hosting the Carolina Panthers. So it should be a better opportunity for Likely to put up some bigger numbers if he ends up filling in for Andrews again.

If Andrews plays, then Likely's fantasy value takes a hit and he likely shouldn't be started. But the 22-year-old rookie should be rostered until it's clear whether Andrews will play or not.
