Final WWE SummerSlam 2022 Picks for Reigns vs. Lesnar and Full Match Card

The Biggest Party of the Summer is finally here as WWE SummerSlam 2022 is set to kick off at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock.

Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match, while Theory's potential Money in the Bank cash-in has been teased in recent weeks.

Every other main roster title save for the Intercontinental Championship and Women's Tag Team Championship will also be on the line. Elsewhere, Logan Paul seeks revenge on The Miz for turning on him at WrestleMania, and Pat McAfee will be in action against Happy Corbin.

Before the event starts, let's run down the card with one last round of predictions as we pick who will win at SummerSlam 2022!

Pat McAfee vs. Happy Corbin

Happy Corbin is underrated with an overlooked size and plenty of big wins over his career, but he has a track record of coming up short in most of his feuds. More often than not, he's utilized as a fall guy who can look strong but ultimately lose.

Pat McAfee is easily the sentimental pick in this storyline as the energetic voice of SmackDown who wants to knock Corbin down a peg.

While Corbin emerging victorious is possible, McAfee's win and post-match celebration would be better than Corbin winning and likely doing nothing with the momentum following this show.

Prediction: McAfee wins.

United States Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Theory

WWE has barely put any effort into this United States Championship match. It is clear this is less about Bobby Lashley feuding with Theory and more about giving Theory something else to do on the card as a distraction to his bigger story with the Money in the Bank cash-in.

Theory has been feuding with virtually everyone on both Raw and SmackDown. Meanwhile, Lashley was entirely missing in action for a few weeks, only fighting with Theory by proxy of Mr. Money in the Bank's other confrontations, like Monday's tag team match that was more about Drew McIntyre and Sheamus.

There is no purpose in Theory winning back the United States Championship. Meanwhile, a two-time world champion in Lashley holding the belt gives it more credibility and allows him to defend a belt without going up against Roman Reigns quite yet.

Also, Lashley against Gunther at Survivor Series for the champion vs. champion match makes more sense than Theory being in that spot. It is still a few months away, but WWE does still need to start planning toward that as the next of the so-called "big four" events.

Prediction: Lashley wins.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey

Liv Morgan fans were finally able to rejoice in watching her win the big one at Money in the Bank.

Sadly, that celebration may be cut short.

If WWE is committed to creating new stars, Morgan will keep the belt so she can have a proper run. However, it is hard to imagine she'll leave with the title.

WWE already got the big pop with Morgan's title win. Many sentimental champions in the past have not been booked strongly once they won the title. Big E's Money in the Bank cash-in filled a similar role, for example.

Morgan beat Rousey, who is perpetually protected and kept one of the most credible fighters on the roster, on a fluke. How exactly would Morgan beat her clean? Turning heel to cheat and win would defy Morgan's whole fandom, too, ruling that out.

Rousey is also the much bigger star to draw media coverage and attention toward something like Clash at the Castle. It is far more likely WWE will want her on that card, as well as SmackDown television episodes and other events like Crown Jewel, than for Morgan to defend her title against Lacey Evans or her other potential opponents.

Granted, a new regime is in charge now and Triple H may be more fond of keeping the title on Morgan. It is just hard to believe the belt back won't go back on Rousey.

Prediction: Rousey wins.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Usos vs. The Street Profits

The Usos and The Street Profits will undoubtedly tear down the house with yet another fantastic clash for the WWE Tag Team Championship. This time, however, there should be less confusion with the finish, as Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett will serve as the special guest referee.

This isn't just about stopping The Usos winning at SummerSlam due to a bad referee call, either. The Street Profits also scored a victory on SmackDown after a referee failed to see Jimmy Uso's shoulder up when Angelo Dawkins pinned him. It means nowhere near as much as the Money in the Bank win, but WWE has attempted to put both teams on a level playing field.

Considering so much weight has been put on the shoulders of The Bloodline to have record-breaking title reigns and hold all the championships, it is hard to imagine The Street Profits will dethrone The Usos. Jarrett's role could be minimal and truly fair down the middle, he could be taken out with another referee filling in for the count or may even turn heel to help out The Bloodline.

In any fashion, The Usos will keep those belts probably until at least WrestleMania.

Prediction: The Usos win.

Raw Women's Championship Match: Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch

Stranger patterns have emerged in the past, but it would still be odd if, for the second year in a row, Bianca Belair won a championship at WrestleMania only to drop it to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam.

That would suggest that despite all her progress, The EST of WWE is simply not on the same level of Big Time Becks.

This feud is also well past its sell-by date. They've fought each other multiple times over the past year, and Belair should have had the last laugh at WrestleMania, but WWE keeps going back to this well.

While there's a good chance Lynch walks out with the title, let's hope cooler heads prevail and Belair doesn't suffer the same loss as last year.

Prediction: Belair wins.

The Miz vs. Logan Paul

Logan Paul might be a natural heel, but WWE is still trying hard to convince fans to cheer him. So long as he's up against The Miz in this feud and treated as a babyface, he has the edge to win this match.

Logically, The Miz should be the victor, as he has far more experience. However, he frequently loses and bounces back right after, acting as if nothing ever happened.

The bigger priority isn't to give the WWE guy the win, but to put over Paul as the featured player. If he were to lose his first singles match, it would offset his momentum too much and give him a steeper mountain to climb.

Prediction: Paul wins.

No Disqualification Tag Team Match: The Mysterios vs. The Judgment Day

In recent years, WWE hasn't bothered to give stipulations to matches on Peacock that didn't need it. It almost seems as though the philosophy has been that those gimmicks are better reserved for Raw and SmackDown to pop a rating.

Why, then, does the lackluster feud between The Mysterios and The Judgment Day have a No Disqualification attachment? This hasn't been a bitter rivalry that stretches back long enough to warrant such a match.

The only logical answer is that WWE plans on having someone interfere.

Considering Edge has been teasing his return, has a history with Rey Mysterio as his former tag team partner and has an axe to grind with Finn Balor and Damian Priest after they turned on him, watch out for The Rated-R Superstar to be that interference.

Bonus points if Beth Phoenix is also there to offset Rhea Ripley, possibly setting up Edge, Phoenix and Rey against Judgment Day with Dominik on the outside for Clash at the Castle.

Prediction: The Mysterios win.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Last Man Standing Match

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar have had multiple "final confrontation" matches over their seven-year feud, but WWE is particularly harping on this Last Man Standing match being the absolute last time they will clash.

If that is indeed the case, Reigns must win. Their entire history has been about The Beast Incarnate as the gatekeeper that The Tribal Chief has to overcome, with the passing of the torch perpetually stalled.

That happened a few times in the past year, but WWE is milking this for one more main event—this time, with the added hook of Theory potentially cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase to capitalize on these two beating each other senseless.

In a way, that almost spoils this match. Reigns is the clear favorite to set up a WrestleMania match against The Rock, and now the focus is even more on what happens after the bout. The only real question isn't whether Reigns will retain against Lesnar, but if he'll survive Theory's cash-in.

Prediction: Reigns wins.
