Seth Rollins Is Easy Pick for Money in the Bank Winner; More WWE Raw Takes

The June 13 edition of WWE Raw continued building the field for the Money in the Bank ladder matches as well as establishing new rivalries for the red brand.

Seth Rollins enjoyed reveling in last week's attack on Cody Rhodes and then stole a win from AJ Styles to earn his spot in the men's match on July 2, making him the obvious—and welcome—favorite.

Bobby Lashley seemed to have his sights on the WWE Championship, but he settled for ending the show in a pose-off with Theory.

Ezekiel pulled off a surprise win in his rematch with Kevin Owens and then made an intriguing announcement: His brother, Elias, is returning to Raw next week.

Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan punched their tickets to the women's Money in the Bank ladder match when they tagged together for the first time. They looked like a serious team with room to grow into something great.

These angles defined a less-than-stellar show but did point to a brighter future on the horizon for Raw.

Alexa Bliss Will Help Liv Morgan Break Through Main Event Glass Ceiling

Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan have begun crossing paths in recent weeks. While they weren't able to earn a No. 1 contender shot at Bianca Belair, they worked together Monday night to earn a spot in the women's Money in the Bank ladder match.

Neither is ready to win that briefcase, but they should continue their work alongside one another. It seems for now they will be a tag team, and that could lead them to the vacant WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

Morgan has not been able to get to that stage to date, but she is ready for something more. She just needs the right push to win singles gold.

The Goddess of WWE has been champion many times. No matter how up and down her career, she has a guaranteed relevance that can rub off on Morgan. The two have chemistry to explore as partners and, eventually, as rivals.

Return of Elias Is the Spark Raw Needs

Ezekiel has promised his big brother Elias' return next week, and that is the best news Raw has had in a while.

The Living Truth is one of the rare men who can make the most of anything, and the red brand needs him.

While Ezekiel has been a capable replacement gimmick for the short term, he can only last so long. This story limits the performer's impressive charisma.

It will be interesting to see how Elias is presented on Raw. It is rare to see one wrestler play two separate characters at the same time.

Luckily, the man behind Ezekiel is good enough to not only make it work but also gain standing on Raw with it. WWE needs more stories with real intrigue like this one.

Seth Rollins Has Earned Another Money in the Bank Run

Seth Rollins has had a unique career in WWE. He has risen and fallen many times, but he always lands amongst the best in the company. Right now, he may be genuinely the top heel in wrestling, competing with his friend Roman Reigns and wife Becky Lynch.

After a stellar feud with Cody Rhodes, he is as relevant as ever despite losing three straight matches to The American Nightmare. He has more than earned something for his work putting over Rhodes.

Especially with The American Nightmare out for the rest of 2022, Rollins' next logical step is to become Mr. Money in the Bank.

He is the rare man in the modern era that has made Money in the Bank relevant, and the way he uses the briefcase in his second run could very well revitalize the legacy of the briefcase.

Bobby Lashley Losing Main Event Status with Bad Booking

At Hell in a Cell, the end of Bobby Lashley's torment looked to be in sight. He defeated Omos and MVP while setting his sights on gold.

However, The All Mighty did not go after Roman Reigns as hoped; instead, he challenged Theory.

While the United States champion is a capable young talent, he is not at Lashley's level yet. Worse still, the two-time WWE titleholder is playing second fiddle to the 24-year-old's next rival.

While Lashley is stuck doing pose-offs with Theory, the youngster waits for his biggest challenger, a returning John Cena. The Champ will soon be back and will likely fight Theory at SummerSlam on July 30.

This leaves Lashley in a feud he cannot win against an opponent who is below his level. At least he got to win against Omos in the end.

It seems like The All Mighty is no longer a main event priority, even when he's in the main event spot.
